50 Cent Says He Would Love to Work With Drake and Rihanna

It seems 50 Cent has turned a new leaf; he has started working with all the people he disrespected in the past. In a recent interview that aired on Shade 45 radio a couple of days ago, 50 said he would love to work with Drake and Rihanna. He said their styles are very different from his, and that they would have to find a common ground. 








During the course of his interview, he was asked what artists he would love to work, and he said...

"I haven't worked with Drake or Rihanna, and I'd like to work with them. They're artists that they do things that I don't do. It's a different thing. So we have to find the right song for us to be working with on each other...I don't think anyone can beat Drake and creating relationship-based content. And then Rihanna, I think there is a shortage of female solo artists...It's Beyonce, Rihanna and those other people. That's the way the shit starting to feel to me." (Shade 45)

Freddie Gibbs Speaks on Working With Scarface

Former CTE rapper, Freddie Gibbs dropped a collaborative album (Pinata) with Madlib last week, and on it he features the legendary southern rapper, Scarface. In his recent interview with Radio.com, he said working with Scarface was a dream-come-true for him, and that he is still in awe over the collaboration













“It was a dream come true. I’m still kinda in awe of that. I still can’t believe I got him on the record. I guess Kobe [Bryant] felt like this he stepped on the court with Michael Jordan, or played in an All-Star game with Michael Jordan. That’s how I felt. It’s very surreal.” (Radio.com)








It is always great to get to meet/work with your idols in any field, so I know how he must feel. I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Pinata album; I think I will definitely get it tonight. 

Mike Will Made It Says Working With Miley Cyrus Was a Big Accomplishment

Last year was one of Miley Cyrus biggest years o her career, and it is interesting to know that hip hop producer, Mike Will Made It had a hand in making it possible. He was the executive producer for her fourth album, Bangerz. In his recent interview with XXL, he said one of his biggest accomplishments of last year was working with Miley Cyrus. 

"I would say executive producing my first project, working on Miley Cyrus' album. Even to see all of the songs that me and Miley worked on last year turning into a whole tour. That’s she’s killin' and that’s being sold out every night. Actually being able to go to the shows and seeing the crowd just stand up on they feet the whole time, singing all the songs and loving the songs like that." (XXL)

YG Speaks on How Collaboration With Kendrick Lamar Came About

YG dropped his debut album (My Krayzie Life) on Tuesday, and MTV caught up with him for an interview that very day. One of the questions they asked him was how Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin), a collaborative song with Kendrick Lamar off the album came about.





“I recorded it up in Atlanta and I knew that it sounded like a record that Kendrick would get on,” YG said. “So when I got to L.A.,his engineer who did his album, Ali, he mixed my album too, they been hearing my album since like September, so they been hearing it. Kendrick told me that when it was time to put out my album he was gonna hop on one of my records, so he wanted to hear the whole album. So we played him the whole album, then he heard that song, he like, ‘I’m hopping on that, that’s the best song on there.’ That’s how it came, just like that. Real simple."

YG Speaks on How 'Who Do You Love' Collaboration With Drake Came About

A lot of people are surprised to hear YG and Drake on the same song, as YG is Gangster rapper and Drake is an emo rapper. I give it to Drake for always being able to collaborate with just about anybody in the rap game, and still hold his own. Earlier in the week YG and DJ Mustard appeared on The Breakfast Club Show, and YG took time out to explain how the 'Who Do You Love' collaboration with Drake came about.











"Drake...You feel me? He spent a lot of time in L.A...like back in the day, like 2010, like I ran across him as Rascos, and he just told me like, 'I'm a fan of your music' back in the day. So, I was like okay, for sure then. I ran into him again, me and Nipsey, we had a concert at club Nokia downtown L.A, Drake came through to watch our show. You feel me? So I hollered at him back-stage, so he was like 'We gotta work.' That was like 2012...then I ran into him again, and we exchanged numbers and he was like 'Hey, I'm trying to redo something'...and I sent this joint(Who Do You Love) , the beat, and he heard it, he went like 'Yeah, this is the one right here.' Feel me? he hopped on it. Feel me? He came to the video shoot. Feel me? They cleared the record all that." (The Breakfast Club Show)

Mobb Deep and The LOX on the Same Song

Yes, that's what Prodigy let the world know a couple of days ago. There is going to be a Mobb Deep/LOX collaboration song on the upcoming The LOX album. My two best Hip Hop groups of all time on the same song? That's what's up. Mobb Deep (Prodigy and Havoc) are about to drop a new album called The Infamous Mobb Deep. It's going to be a double disc album; one CD featuring the new album, and the second CD will contain songs from the recordings of their The Infamous (1995) album...songs that didn't make the album. While promoting the album on Shade 45's Sway In The Morning, Prodigy said...

"Mobb Deep album about to drop April 1. New Mobb Deep album. Self-titled. Mobb Deep. The Lox is working on they album right now. I don't know when it's coming out, but we just did a Mobb Deep-Lox song for they album. It's the first time we ever did a song together."

Nice. But I would love if they could do a whole album together...or maybe an EP of like 9 songs or something of that nature. But I am still cool with this one song for now. I just wonder when that LOX album will be dropping.

Schoolboy Q Speaks on Working With 2 Chainz

After Schooboy Q's Oxymoron album tracklist hit the Internet, a lot of his fans and some Hip Hop listeners felt he shouldn't have worked with 2 Chainz for his album. They feel 2 Chainz is not a real Hip Hop artist, and they feel a TDE artist shouldn't be working with him. Below is what Schoolboy Q had to say about that.





“I like 2 Chainz. People been hitting me and asking me, like tweets… like, ‘Oh, why are you messing with 2 Chainz? This is TDE. That’s not real Hip Hop.’ What do you mean that’s not real Hip Hop? When I go buy the album, it says Rap and Hip Hop. I listen to it, I like it. If you don’t like it, skip his verse. I like 2 Chainz. I think he real.”

Raekwon Speaks on Unreleased Jay Z Collaboration

Some time last year, just before Jay Z's 12th album, Magna Carta Holy Grail album dropped, a picture of him and Raekwon together in the studio hit the Internet. A lot of people couldn't wait to hear the end result of the studio time, but when the album dropped, there was no Rae on it. The Chef, in a recent interview on Montreality said they did record a track, but he doesn't know what happened to it. He also said maybe Jay Z wanted Ghostface on the track too, and it didn't happen, so he didn't put the track out.

"I guess he tucked it or whatever. And you know, I guess he got a plan or whatever. "I don't really know. You know what I mean? I just know that at the end of the day we still got things that we discussing that we gon' make happen. I don't know what happened with the record though, you know -- I don't know what happened cause I know I guess he wanted to have Starks on it too. You know how it is when you got your vision and you want it to be a certain way. It didn't come fully into fruition though, but it was still a lot of great love though." ("Montreality")

Raekwon is one Wu-Tang Clan member I have always liked; maybe because his style is very similar to Nas's style from the mid 90s...It Was Written era. I also like how he has managed to stay relevant all these years, without losing himself in all the new waves and styles out there. I would love to hear that mystery track...and it would make even more sense if Jay eventually gets Ghost on it.

What's Your Opinion on Nas Working With Young Money

A lot of people have been lashing out at Nas for working with Young Money members. They believe Nas shouldn't work with rappers that are termed commercial. Nicki Minaj just dropped her second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, and one of the outstanding tracks on the album is "Champion", which featuring Drake, Young Jeezy and Nas. Right now, nas has worked with Lil Wayne, Tyga and then Nicki Minaj.




Personally, as a rap enthusiast, and a Nas fan, i don't see anything wrong with it. As long as the songs nas was featured on were rap songs, and he didn't do anything other than "rap" on them, then i don't see anything wrong with that. He definitely couldn't have said no to them for coming up to him for a guest appearance. I am even surprised he didn't have a spot on Drake's album. I can remember Drake saying he was studying nas before he dropped Thank Me Later.



Nas is going to drop his 10th album, Life is Good anytime soon, so, it is for his own good that he gets out there more. As long as he doesn't compromise his legendary status, there is nothing wrong with Nas working with the Young Money crew. There has been a lot of noise on how good nas is as a rapper, isn't it good that the young rap listeners get to listen to Nas's greatness.



But the only problem is that nas is not at his greatness hen he tries to "dumb-down" his lyrics, which is the case with the Nicki feature. But he was gret on the Wayne collabo, and the Tyga guest appearance.

What's Your Opinion On Tyga Working With Nas

If you know Nas, you know he doesn't feature on a lot of people's tracks. He said it himself on Luda's I do It For Hip Hop track- "they say i'm low-key...i'm socially awkward...the only niggas who know me are the ones that i work with". I think i can count the number of rappers, outside his camp, that Nas has done songs with since he got in the game in 91...and the number is not high. It has just been confirmed that he is going to have a verse on Tyga's upcoming album. I think that is a big surprise for me. For one thing, Tyga is not huge like that. And it is not like he is a Kendric Lamar or anything. I think Tyga is aight, but not the best of the best when it comes to the new kids on the block. So, for nas to agree, or put correctly, be interested in making a song with Tyga before making a song with someone like J.Cole...or Kendrick Lamar beats my imagination.



Personally, i think Nas is trying to show the new kids what he can do on the mic. He did the Lil Wayne outro on Carter 4 , and that got a lot of people talking. Then he had one of the dopest verses on Rick Ross's Rich Forever mixtape. And now he is doing a song with Tyga. I think Nas is gearing up for his 10th album release later this year, and he feels the need to be more in the people's eye.

“Yeah man, I sent Nas a song like six months ago and I never heard back from him but out of the blue, he called me like, ‘Yo, you doing your thing. I want to be a part of what you doing, I like everything you doing. Keep working hard,” he said. “I sent him the ‘Kings and Queens’ that night and he did it the next day. I was like, that shit is crazy. Nas always talks that shit. The song, man, [his bars] added the cherry on top. It’s a real classic song. People are gonna like it. I wanna think of a dope video. The storyline of the song, the whole King and Queens [theme], it’s motivational.”
 




It is great that someone like Tyga can be excited to be working with Nas. Really, nas is not a lot of rappers role models. Although a lot of people testify to the fact that he is a lyrical genius, people would rather have someone like Jay-Z as a role model. You know...jay has the swag and the success and all. 


Anyway, lets see how this turns out. I think it would be great to have a video to go with the song. I think it would help both parties.
