Nicki Minaj Versus Cardi B: Sales (2019)

The debate of who is currently the bigger artist between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B always pops up online between the fans of the two supper star rappers. I have decided to take time to post their current sales (album and singles) here today. Since both dropped albums last year (2018), I would be focusing on the sales of their individual albums and songs/singles sales. Which means, it will be a time frame between 2018-2019, nothing earlier. All sales data would be gotten from riaa.com (Recording Industry Association of America), so you can go on their website and check for yourself.

For those that don't know, platinum means an album has sold at least a million copies. Gold means an album has sold at least 500,000 copies. Here we go...

Trina Talks About How Nicki Minaj Collaboration Came About

Since Nicki Minaj got in the game ten years ago, she has never collaborated with another female rapper till collaborated with Trina quite recently. She got on a song off Trina's The One album, titled Baps. Both Nicki and Trina brag about having different men, and curving a lot of famous rappers.

In her recent interview on Power 105.1 FM's The Breakfast Club show, Trina spoke about how she got Nicki Minaj to collaborate with her on the Baps song.

"Nicki...umm, she was in Miami working on her album, umm, and we was just, you know, going back and forth. I told her I was working on my album and I wanted her to get on my album, so she told me to come by the studio, so I pulled up at the studio, she was playing some stuff...This is before her album came out, the Queen album. And umm she played some stuff for me and it was dope, and then this is one of the records that we came up with. And umm...I was traveling, so we went back and forth with the record. Like recording...I did my part I sent to her, she did her part right after, she sent it back. We was going back and forth and then I got back in the studio with her and that's how it got complete. But it was a lot of difficulties with the clearances. You know, it's a Cash Money record, it's Universal involved, it's Juve on the hook...So it's one of them kind of things we had to like...that's what took so long. So, yea, it was a lot. Superstar rapper, Nicki Minaj just dropped her latest single, MEGATRON. The song has that caribbean vibe to it, and the video has Nicki in party/seductive mood.

DJ Envy Says Nicki Minaj's Fans (Barbz) Made Him Change His Phone Number

Yea, The Barbz as just as ferocious as Beyonce's Beehive. In case you have no idea what I'm talking about- most artists give their fans a name, and Nicki Minaj calls her fans Barbz. She had a little issue with The Breakfast Club's Charlamagne the God and DJ Envy back in 2017, when she was beefing with Remy Ma as she claimed Charla and Envy took Remy's side in the beef. Her Babz weren't having it and started blowing up DJ Envy's phone up with negative text messages and phone calls. Envy said he still doesn't know who leaked his number, and in the end he had to change that particular number when the harassment was getting too much.

He said this during Jason Lee's (Hollywood Unlocked founder) recent interview on The Breakfast Club Show. Actually, Jason Lee also has issues with Nicki and was talking about how they terrorized his life before Envy shared his own experience.

Yep. That's what happened a few days ago at a Nicki Minaj concert in France. She cancelled the concert last minute, when the concert goers were already at the venue, waiting on her. Her reason for doing that? She said the promoters/organizers of the concert didn't make sure the building they were going to use had enough power supply.

Nicki posted the picture on her Instagram about a week ago with the caption- "Only KINGS recognize QUEENS. @sweetchicklife has the best food 👅 congrats @nas" Nas re-posted the post a few hours later. This picture will make more people think the rumors about them dating are actually true, but I am sure it is all for publicity. 

Joe Budden Says Nicki Minaj is Not a Lyricist

Last week Thursday, Joe Budden got interviewed by DJ Akademiks, and they got talking about the Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma beef. Along the line of the discussion, Budden said Nicki Minaj's response to Remy Ma's Shether was weak, and that Nicki is not a lyricist. Do you agree with him?

“I’m saying Nicki put out three records. I was telling you that when you put out three records, not just the one diss, you’re rolling out now. This is your team; you’ve concocted this right. Them sh-ts came and went, and trust me, I’m dying to say something nice about Nicki Minaj and her music because I’ve been so hard on her, but those songs came and went. Nicki Minaj is not a lyricist. She should stop tweeting lyrics, it’s not helping at all, said Joe Budden."

Kinda true what he said about the songs coming and going quickly. I can't even remember the titles of the two other songs. No Frauds is not that a bad song though, it just isn't a great diss song. 

A$AP Ferg Gives Reason Why He Can't Take Sides in the Nicki Minaj Remy Ma Beef

Traplord, A$AP Ferg just did a song (East Coast) with Remy Ma, and some people believed he had taken the side of Remy Ma in the Nicki and Remy beef, but during his recent interview with Hip Hop DX, he gave the reason why he rides for both femcees and why he can't pick sides. 

“Nicki’s from New York. Remy Martin is from New York. I still call her Remy Martin. Nicki’s from New York. It could have been either one of them [on the track], honestly. … I can’t take no sides. It’s like both cousins.”




Cool. Cos, it is like every one in the entertainment industry is on Nicki's side. Celebs need to be neutral with that beef and let us fans pick sides.

Nicki Minaj Criticized Over Westminster Bridge Scene in "No Frauds" Video

In March, Nicki Minaj flew to England to shoot her No Frauds video, along with Lil Wayne and Drake. A day after the shooting, a tragic incident happened at the Westminster Bridge, London, which is the location of one of the scenes used in the video. There was a lot of talk about taking out that scene, but I guess she wanted the controversy she knew would come with releasing the video that way.

The video dropped yesterday, and people have been criticizing Nicki Minaj for not taking out the scene where she is standing around the same spot on the Westminster bridge where a man drove a car into pedestrians, killing 5 people and injuring more than ten more on March 22.

New Video: No Frauds (Nicki Minaj feat. Lil Wayne, and Drake

Nicki Minaj just released the music video for her song, No Frauds, which features Lil Wayne, and Drake. This is the response track to Remy Ma's diss track, Shether. She really stressed the parts of her lyrics where she is going at Remy in this video. I know Remy kinda stopped the whole beef/battle cos  Nicki said the only reason she is relevant was cos she was dissing her, and Remy Ma wanted to distance herself from the beef, but I have a feeling Remy might be dropping another hot diss record soon.

We are in 2017, and we all know Meek and Nick have broken up.
