2 Chainz Speaks on Illuminati in Hip Hop

In the last 5 years or so, it has been, the Illuminati this, Illuminati that. Anyone that becomes an overnight success is immediately linked with the mythical secret society. Around 2012, when 2 Chainz blew up on the hip hop scene all of a sudden, a lot of people started saying he had joined the Illuminati. He had heard the question so many times over the years that when an Interviewer from ThisIs50.com asked him if he was a member of the secret society, he jokingly said yes. The interview went and edited the video to make it seem like Chainz was really serious, and then the rumors went out of control to the point that his Mom became worried about the whole issue.

2 Chainz said he has already had the video taken down, and the person responsible for editing it has apologized to him. During his interview on VLAD TV a couple of months ago, he spoke on the situation again, and said that the people that saw him having sleepless nights in the studio and making music for years before he finally made it laugh at rumors like that. He also said that the music directors put in all the secret society symbols in music videos just to get people talking, and get more Youtube views on their videos. Read his words below.

"In my opinion, I feel like Directors...people that do inventory that went to school in the last ten years, this are some things that they learn. Just symbols...different icons, different things to make...whether they be negative or positive, just to get us talking. So, if I shoot a video of VLAD, and I look behind you, I have these statues behind you, you don't know this two statues behind you...look, turn around. You don't know what's f#^king behind you. I'm the director, you don't know what's behind you. You're Tity Boi (2 Chainz), you Jay Z, you don't know what's behind you. You don't know what the fuck I'm doing. I'm shooting this shit right here, boom!. You leave, people go online and say VLAD is in the Illuminati, and guess what happen? The views go up. The views don't help vlad, the views help me, the f#^cking director. That's why I put this shit over here, that's why I put this shit over here." (VLADTV interview)

It's all to get people talking...and to get attention, and views and traffic and all that. The same reason I put up this post...I know it is going to get hundreds of views in a short while, and it will continue to get views for as long as people keep talking about the Illuminati.

Schoolboy Q Speaks on Working With 2 Chainz

After Schooboy Q's Oxymoron album tracklist hit the Internet, a lot of his fans and some Hip Hop listeners felt he shouldn't have worked with 2 Chainz for his album. They feel 2 Chainz is not a real Hip Hop artist, and they feel a TDE artist shouldn't be working with him. Below is what Schoolboy Q had to say about that.

“I like 2 Chainz. People been hitting me and asking me, like tweets… like, ‘Oh, why are you messing with 2 Chainz? This is TDE. That’s not real Hip Hop.’ What do you mean that’s not real Hip Hop? When I go buy the album, it says Rap and Hip Hop. I listen to it, I like it. If you don’t like it, skip his verse. I like 2 Chainz. I think he real.”

Hmm!

2 Chainz Names Top 5 Dead Or Alive

There is always that debate on who and who are the best rappers in Hip Hop history; and of recent, everybody wants to know who are the top 5 dead or alive. In a recent interview of his, Atlanta rapper, 2 Chainz spoke on which rappers he considers the top 5 dead or alive.

"Scarface, I'm from the South. Geto Boys, Rap-A-Lot, they just had a lot to do with the grooming of young black males coming from where I'm from. You got Nasir Jones who is still relevant, who I think paints the dopest pictures you can paint in hip-hop. I think he's somewhat Picasso with the rap. ... Tupac was probably my favorite of all time. I named a lot of my mixtapes [after him]. Biggie was another ill person. He had a lot of bangers out. His influence and people just followed his lifestyle and some of the things he said back then - people are just now catching onto. Jay Z is one of the best ones doing it. Period. He just kinda shows us that rap is just a stepping stone to other things. So I appreciate his vision and I appreciate his savvy." (Sports Nation)

So that is Scarface, Nas, Tupac, Biggie and Jay Z...in no particular order. Asides from Scarface, I think every rapper lists the other 4 when they are listing who they consider top 5 dead or alive. These lists are becoming redundant...like people just go with who other people mention the most in their lists. I consider Scarface one of the greats, and I am happy 2 Chainz is knowledgeable enough to know that fact. I think more people need to throw in Big Pun into the mix once a while...I think he is super underrated. Throw in Jadakiss...throw in Kool G Rap.

Picture of Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz and Monica Backstage Yeezus Tour in Atlanta

Yeezus...sorry, Kanye West is on a nationwide tour for his 6th album, Yeezus. And at the Atlanta stop a couple of days ago, backstage had 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, and Monica having fun. Look at Kendrick standing on a table to 'even out' the heights in the picture...lol! It is great to see he is having fun with his new found fame. I never thought he would blow up so fast when I was listening to him back in 2011.

2 Chainz Says Directors Are Responsible For Illuminati Symbols In Music Videos

I have said this for the longest time. I always wondered why people are quick to label a rapper an Illuminati member, but fail to see that the rapper might have little control on the creative direction of the video were all the symbols where on display...people never turned the touch on the music directors making the videos, or even the record label owners that have a lot of power over what this rappers do. Must rappers are just puppets.

“Anytime I even talked about Illuminati, I would try to make people think about when and where it really became poppin’ popular in things like that. In my opinion, I feel like directors or people that do imagery, who went to school the past last 10 years, these are some things that they learn. Which is symbols, different icons, different things—whether they be negative or positive, just to get us talking. So if I shoot a video, Vlad, and I look behind you, I have these statues behind you. You don’t know these two statues behind you…I’m the director. I’m shooting this shit. You don’t know that’s fuckin behind you…You don’t know what the fuck I’m doing. I’m shooting this shit right here. Boom, you leave. Boom, people go online and say, ‘Vlad is in Illuminati.’ And guess what happens? The views go up."

And once record execs learnt that formula, they have been milking it, making sure these musicians have all the Illuminati symbols in their videos, so that more people view them, and more people talk about them. Its a winning formula.

First Week Sales Prediction Of 2 Chainz's "B.O.A.T.S 2: Me Time" Album

2 Chainz's second album, "B.O.A.T.S.2: Me Time" official dropped today (September 10, 2013), although it leaked a week ago. I want to attempt a prediction of what it would sell first week out. By the way, B.O.A.T.S stands for Based On A Tru Story, which was the title of his first album, so this is the sequel. His first sold 147,000 copies first week, but I think this one will sell a little less. He doesn't have hot singles like "No Lie", and "Birthday Song" this time around. The song with Pharrell, 'Feds Watching' is cool, but not hot enough. I would predict that "B.O.A.T.S.2: Me Time" will sell between 100-120k first week.

We will have an idea of what it would sell by the end of tomorrow, when expects project the album's first week sales based on first day sales. Check out the album tracklist below-

2 Chainz 'B.O.A.T.S 2: Me Time' Tracklist

2 Chainz released his debut album, Based On A Tru Story last year August, and got a Gold plaque off it. Now, he is at it again. With his Pharrell assisted first single titled Feds Watching; he plans to hit stores with his 'B.O.A.T.S.2: Me Time' next month, September 10 to be precise. And the full meaning of the album is actually, Based On A Tru Story 2: Me Time. I am not a big 2 Chainz fan, but I am loving the tracklist...it looks like the album would be pretty decent.

How Much Does 2 Chainz Charge For a Verse?

I have known the answer to this since early 2012, when I  read a 2 Chainz interview where spoke extensively on it. His buzz was just growing at the time, but other rappers already knew he was going to be one the biggest stars of NOW...so, they started booking him for verses. 2 Chainz has been charging $100,000 for a verse since early 2012, and has done over 60 since then...do the math.

Read up what he said about this in a recent interview-

"The thing about the hundred thousand, which I've been explaining ever since it came out, this question was asked to me out in London, so my answer, when they asked me how much I charge per verse, I asked them what was a hundred thousand in their currency, in pounds, I was just trying to explain the difference in currency. I think it was like 60k pounds or something like that. ... But it's no secret, I'm one of the most featured people but as far as my business and what I charge people, it's definitely on a different scale depending on who, when, what and all these situations. I've did swaps before but I'm in the part of my career now where I just want to do flat-out business. ... I know what my budget is and what I bring to the table. At the end of the day, you just have to appreciate. I appreciate what everybody does here in hip-hop and just for me, when people come to me and want features, I give them that. I don't short-change them." ("The Breakfast Club")

Game Finally Drops 'Ali Bomaye' Video

Game finally dropped his Ali Bomaye video yesterday, after leaving his fans in suspense for 5 months. He shot the video for the song which features Rick Ross and 2 Chainz back in February. This is the official second single of Game's 5th album (Jesus Piece). I am still wondering why he decided not to drop the video when the album was still fresh, he could have sold more albums. The video has already been viewed 300,000 times on youtube since it was released 24 hours ago. Check it out below.

More Evidence Of the "2 Chainz Robbery"

Atlanta rapper, 2 Chainz was robbed a couple of weeks ago in California. He had been in town for a concert, and went out looking for some good weed to buy. He and his crew (of 5 men) where approached by two gun-men , and they all ran. It was all caught on Surveillance camera. 2 Chainz initially denied being robbed, until TMZ got hold of the footage, and let the world see it. In the footage, 2 Chainz fell while trying to escape from the robbers, and one of the gun-men is seen standing over him. His bodyguard (who should be fired) later let the world know that it was only his wallet that was taken.

Yesterday, an unknown person put up the pic you can see below on his Instagram, with the caption- “That nigga #2Chainz said he never got robbed out here in the #Bayarea.” He obviously is the one that robbed "2 Chainz" of his wallet; you can see he is holding up 2 Chainz' drivers license and bank card. I'm wondering...can't the cops trace this guy through this?

You can watch the footage of the robbery below-

Updates On 2 Chainz San Francisco Robbery

Atlanta rapper, 2 Chainz got robbed in San Francisco Sunday afternoon. He had denied that he got robbed on twitter, till TMZ got the surveillance footage of the robbery yesterday. It was broad day light, 2 Chainz and his crew (of  5 guys) were working in a single file on the side-walk when a man wearing a white top approached them with a gun. 2 Chainz was in front, and in the video, he is seen pushing one of his crew members to the front as a shield, before running off. Unfortunately for him, he fell while being chased by another gunman wearing a black top. From the surveillance footage, the man approached 2 Chainz while he was lying on the floor from the fall, and I am guessing this was when 2 Chainz' wallet and phone were taken.

2 Chainz security, Hammer Strength recently confirmed the robbery-

"We went downtown to San Francisco -- it's broad daylight, like 4:30 in the afternoon. People were walking around and everything -- all of a sudden three dudes just jumped out with huge guns, .357 Magnums. They pointed the guns at us and we was like 'Whoa!' We thought it was a joke for a minute. We looked at them, we stopped, kinda paused. We thought it was a joke. Then all we heard was, '2 Chainz give it up.' So we like stood there and didn't do anything, and we kinda like froze, 'cause we wanted to see if this was real. All of a sudden, the next thing you know, 2 Chainz kinda like backed up a little bit. And then he said, 'Give it up. Give it up.' And then all of a sudden he took off. He took off running first. When he took off running, we took off running. Then all of a sudden these dudes, they just start shooting. I don't know where they shot at. TMZ got it all like we just left and left him standing there, and we just took off. But he started running first, and we took off after he took off. So I don't know what they trying to make it seem like. The bottom line is he just fell, the dude grabbed his wallet from him, and his cell phone from him, and that's all they took. He has his chains on him, his bracelet and all that, and all his jewellery with him and they ain't touch none of that. All they did is they got his wallet, and like I said, he ain't got no money in his wallet. The bottom line is, man, it was a setup. We know it was a setup so, that's why he told the police we will handle it."

Yea, if you watch the footage below, you would see that 2 Chainz ran first. Two guys behind were disorganized cos he made the first panic move. Watch the footage below-
