For those that don't know, when an album is certified Diamond, it means it has sold over 10 million copies. A Platinum certification means it has sold over a million copies. And a Gold certification means it has sold over 500,000 copies.

"This is a story that never made the book, so I might as well let this out now cos I'm not revising or adding any other stories to the book so you're getting an exclusive right here. We were in Boston and we did this show, and the stage had to be at least 12 feet from the ground. So you had the stage, and then you had the barricades, and then you had the crowd. Em had drank...Bacardi White and he liked Heinekens. He'd drink a little bit of Heineken...Everybody drinks backstage. You know before you go on, its like the pep rally men! It's like a football team, you're getting a little hyped up before you go out there and perform. Everybody take a little sip of something. This particular day he did too much. And he took an x (ecstasy) and he took a cap of a shrum (mushroom). So, he's into...the show was off the chain men! He's getting into...he's getting into the second verse of Brain Damage...the song Brain Damage...He's working across the stage, I'm far left, he's walking across the stage, and he's hype. He's doing his thing men! He's getting ready to go into the second verse, and before he could put his foot down, the drugs kicked in. You seen it. Everything just went in slow motion, and he couldn't remember the words. So Proof had to step up and finish the second verse. At that point, Em was completely high.
"This is art, so how the fuck can you tell me how to express myself at the end of the day? You might want to express yourself that way. You might want to say 50 million words as fast as possible, with the most metaphors in the world. That's your way of expressing yourself. It ain't no right and wrong way to be a hip hop artist. You know what I'm saying. This is our art. This is our unique. This is our...he got his thing, he got his thing. If everybody wanted to be on some super rap shit, everybody would sound the same. Like, it would be pointless. If that's the case, we would just need one raper. What's the point of having all these artists of y'all want the to do the same fucking thing. You know what I'm saying."Join me in helping Manchester victims & their families, Make a donation to the @BritishRedCross and @MENnewsdesk https://t.co/JchJtYOdMU— Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) May 25, 2017

The issue of color will always come up in Hip Hop, and the latest person to discuss that is 50 Cent. In a recent interview with Music Choice, he was speaking on whether or not Hip Hop is a black thing, and he came to the conclusion that Hip Hop is black music. He also added that though it is a black thing, Eminem, a white rapper, is better than every black rapper out there.
“Hip Hop is Black music, without question, and, unfortunately for some people, it’s tough to accept that you have a White artist that does it better than Black artists. It is what it is. You can get like whoever you think is the best Black artist and stand them face-to-face in a room with Em and he will eat that [guy] alive. Right now if you had 'em prepare themselves, whatever way they would have to prepare themselves to come battle…I bet what I have, everything” that Eminem would win." (Music Choice Interview)
Trick Trick just dropped his strip joint jam, Twerk Dat Pop That, which features Eminem, and Royce Da 5'9.
Yea...It's here; Busta Rhymes feat. Eminem, Cam Down. Nice collabo, but I would have preferred if they went back and forth the way Jada and Styles do.
Yea, word out right now is that there is a song about to drop that would feature Busta Rhymes and Eminem. You know Bussa Bus and Em have some of the craziest flows in Hip Hop history, so this would definitely be phenomenal. Read more about the collabo below.
"That's the next record that's going to, I'd say, destroy the streets of New York and hip-hop in a lot of ways. That record is something that we've been putting together for a minute. It's not just like an overnight thing. We've been trying to make this 'the' record to bring back Busta in a major way."
"Back then—not to take [away] nothing that’s going on now—you had to have lyrics to even get into a certain realm. To get Big’s attention and be recognized by [Jay Z], to Nas, to Wu[-Tang Clan], to Redman, Eminem, all of these dudes. Snoop [Dogg]. You had to have some lyrics. You can swag your way into the winner’s circle now. It’s nothing wrong with that. I am glad I came into the game at the time that I came in. It made me respect it more. If you didn’t have no firepower, they wouldn’t let you in at the time when we got in the show."
