Slaughterhouse- House Rules (Mixtape)
Hip Hop super-group, have finally dropped their new mixtape (House Rules). They always drop a free mixtape for the fans before they drop their albums, and this time it is a ten tracker, titled House Rules. Their studio album is set to drop before the end of the year, and is titled Glass House. Royce Da 5'9, Joe Budden, Crooked I, and Joell Ortiz showed the world what they were made of on SayDatThen, which was the first leak off the mixtape a couple of weeks ago. I am sure the rest of the mixtape would be as dope. I am off to download it right now. The mixtape hit the Internet about 2 hours ago, and it has already has 15,000 downloads from Datpiff.

Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5'9, and Joe Budden, collective known as Slaughterhouse dropped a new jam for their fans today. The song is titled Say Dat Then, and it is from their upcoming House Gang mixtape. Watch out for that in a couple of days. On this particular track, Royce and Joe Budden killed it.

Joe Budden Speaks on Advantages Underground Rappers have Over Mainstream Rappers in a Battle
Slaughterhouse (Royce Da 5'9, Joe Budden, Joel Ortiz, and Crooked I) are working on a battle rap reality show titled Road To Total Slaughter, and during a recent interview with Rap Grid, Joe Budden spoke on the advantages that underground rappers have over mainstream rappers in a rap battle.
“It’s not fear. Fear is the wrong word, but I mean people have a lot to lose. In Hip Hop your credibility is everything. And it puts the artist with more exposure at a slight disadvantage because of said exposure. You know? You getting here and you facing somebody who knows everything about you. They’ve seen everything about you. They have so much to say. They could speak on your failures, your—they can speak on anything. And you just battling an up-and-coming guy. But I think we will see it eventually. Meek has come from that. Cassidy he comes from that. So, you have guys that are well-versed in battling. So, I can’t wait to see it.”

Just Blaze Gives Update on New Slaughterhouse Album- Glasshouse
Slaughterhouse, the rap group which consist of 4 super lyrical rappers (Joel Ortiz, Royce Da 5'9, Crooked I, and Joe Budden) is about to drop their third album (Glasshouse), and the producer putting it together, Just Blaze recently let the world know what's up with it. During a recent interview with XXL Magazine, he spoke on his contribution to the album.
"I'm producing the Slaughterhouse album right now. And my thing with that album is that I didn't want it to be an album full of them trying to out-rap each other. I wanted them to actually be together during a majority of the process of the album as a group and just make things a little bit more rounded." (XXL Mag)
Okay, I think this will come out well. We all know they can rap their asses off, but making actual songs can sometimes be difficult for the 4-man group. With their last album (Welcome to: Our House), Eminem tried to let them make funny type songs that always works for him, but it didn't work for the group. The best songs on the album where songs like Our House, and Goodbye, and that's because they had subject matters- it meant they weren't just spazzing out on some 'I'm the best rapper in the world' rant, but were actually linking up with their emotional sides to create the songs. You always reach the people through the heart...all the time. If they are not trying to make funny songs, or competing too much and trying to murder each other on every single song, then they can actually make great songs. That's also why their 'Truth or Truth' song is such a classic...I shed tears the first time I heard that song.
I am hoping Just Blaze pulls this off, cos I really want them to enjoy some mainstream success too...They are currently the dopest rap group out there. Glasshouse is set to drop this summer.

Who Is The Best Rapper From Slaughterhouse
My friend and I have this conversation all the time, and we
never seem to come to a conclusion. In fact, cos we are fans’ of each
individual rapper in the group, it gets harder to pick one and say he is best.
It’s more like they complement each other. For many years, I never thought
another rap group would come along that I would like the way I like The L.O.X, till Joe Budden, Crooked I, Royce Da 5’9 and Joell Ortiz decided to form Slaughterhouse.
Of cos, Joe Budden
and Royce Da 5’9 have been around
longer than Ortiz and Crooked, but that shouldn't be a
criteria to judge who is better right now. So, let me speak on their individual strengths. Joell Ortiz brings humour
to the table, which is a needed quality in a rap group like Slaughterhouse in
this times of gimmicky rap. Asides from the humour, when he does decide to get
serious, he shreds beats...and he has that ability to carry you along with every line. He is
very good with the narrative, without loosing a notch of his fine delivery.
Joe Budden always
gives you that emotional rap. Budden
has, through the years, through all his Mood Muzik series, perfected the art of
telling his audience his dark stories; not drug tales, but his life as an
effect of excessive drug use...and every day stories of heart break and family
stories that anyone can relate to. Royce has
the upper hand when it comes to delivery and flow. For someone that can hold his
own with Eminem on every song on a 9 track EP, you know he got what it takes
to rip any beat to pieces. Even though
he has the ability to spazz out on every track, he knows when to hold back, and
give you some deep and personal words. Crooked
on the other hand is raw, and he got that multi-syllabic thing going to a “T.”
So, who is the best? I don’t know. As I said earlier, I
think they compliment each-other greatly. But, if I had a gun to my head, and
had to say who I feel is the best, I would probably say, Royce...no, Joell
Ortiz. Lol! You see how hard it is? But those are my favourite two. But, as
much as I love every Joell verse, and always anticipate it when any
Slaughterhouse song comes on, I know that Royce Da 5’9 and Joe Budden make
better solo songs than Joell. I also know that Joe Budden had the best verse
from all of them at last year’s B.E.T Cypher. So, what am saying is that each
member has his strengths based on what type of songs they are making, or what
mode of rapping they are doing, each member shines differently. But, if I would
really really have to say who the best is, I would say Royce Da 5’9...he is
more rounded overall.

First Week sales Projections of Slaughterhouse "'Our House" Album
Slaughterhouse dropped their second album (Welcome to: Our House), and Shady Records debut 2 days ago; and based on the first day sales, projections have been done and it is projected that Our House will sell between 50-60k first week. In case you don't know them, Slaughterhouse is a "four-man" rap group that consist of Royce Da 5'9, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I.
It is cool they have Eminem's backing, cos they are really lyrical, and monetary backing can be hard for such a group. But, with Eminem being the most commercially success rapper in history, this wont be a problem, and it will help keep the real hip hop heads really entertained.
Slaughterhouse Names Their Top 3 Rap Albums Of All Time
Slaughterhouse is the super lyrical rap group that consist of Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9, Crooked I and Joell Ortitz. If you have listened to any of their songs, you would know that they are one of the few rappers out there that are really about the art, and not just gimmicks. So, when people like that are asked which 3 raps albums are their favourite, you need to pay attention to their list, cos you know they are as real as it gets on the mic, and that would definitely reflect in their list.

Among other albums, the group noted that they feel Nas' It Was Written is a better album than his more widely acclaimed Illmatic disc.
"That's like asking me if I was stranded on an island, what three CDs would I take with me," Crooked I said when asked to name his favorite album. "I'm a non-biased fan. I'm a fan of people from every region, from every market. That would be super tough but I would probably need [Tupac's] Makaveli in there. I would need [Jay-Z's] Reasonable Doubt and [Nas'] It Was Written. I'm one of those people who think It Was Written is harder and a better album than Illmatic."
"I share that sentiment about It Was Written," Budden added, before picking his three favorites. "It was written was a better album to me. There's really no debate if you slim It Was Written down to 40 minutes. I'll go with It Was Written. I'll go with The Great Adventures of Slick Rick and probably [Jay-Z's] Blueprint, maybe."
"I gotta say Blueprint," added Royce Da 5'9. "[Notorious B.I.G.'s] Life After Death and [Dr. Dre's] The Chronic."

Joell Ortiz Update Fans On New Slaughterhouse Album
If you love hip hop...if you love undiluted, pure hip hop, you would definitely love slaughterhouse (Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Roye Da 5'9 and Crooked I). They got signed with shady in 2011, and are about to drop their sophomore album- welcome to: OUR HOUSE. The last one was great, and i am sure tthis one would definitely be greater. In fact, i don't think i have heard a wack song from this crew. I think they are a phenomenal group cos all the individual members are unique, but their individual dopeness unites them.
