Joe Budden is about to drop his 3rd solo album, All Love Lost, and he just dropped this single off the album, Broke. You know Budden is the emotional rapper on Slaughterhouse, so this is is an emotional song. The album, All Love Lost is set for a September 25th release date...Same day Game's 'The Documentary 2' drops.

Obie Trice Says 50 Cent Stunted His Career Growth

A lot of new Hip Hop listeners might not know who Obie Trice is. But back in 2002/2003, when 50 Cent was just popping, he was right there with 50 on the Shady Records roaster. As a matter of fact, they were blowing up at about the same time, but I guess all the planets were aligned in 50's favor at the time, which kind of over-showed his career. I remember the song (Love Me) he, 50 Cent and Eminem had together on the 8 Mile soundtrack album back in 2002; people used to argue on who got the best verse out of the three of them. But once 'Get Rich  or Die Tryin' came out and it was a wrap; all the attention was on 50.



Obie did a recent interview (about two weeks ago) on Hot 97 Radio, with Ebro and Peter Rosenberg, and this is what he had to say about 50 Cent stunting his growth while at Shady Records.

First Week Sales Prediction of "Shady XV" Album

As a 15 years celebration of his label, Shady Records, Eminem is dropping a Shady Records compilation album which will include classic songs from artists signed to the label, and those that were on the label in the past. The album is going to be a double disc album; one disc will contain old songs from Shady Records artists over the years, and the other disc will contain some new songs. I predict that the album would sell between 350-450k first week.

The album drops next week Monday, November 24th, the same day Rick Ross's Hood Billionaire album is also set to hit stores. 

50 Cent Departs Shady-Aftermath

There is always an end to everything...from friendship to a business partnership. Although he was initially signed to Columbia Records at the start of his career, 50 Cent didn't blow up on the rap scene till he signed a joint deal with Eminem and Dr. Dre. He was signed to Shady Records and Aftermath Entertainment (Shady-Aftermath) from 2002 till 2 days ago when the partnership ended. Towards the end of his contract with Interscope Records (The parent company of Shady-Aftermath), 50 had internal problems with the label, and had some issues dropping his 5th and last album with them. The album kept getting pushed back since it was slated to drop in 2011. It seems that Interscope decided to let 50 Cent go even though he didn't complete his contractual obligations of dropping 5 albums with them. As of today, 50 has moved his G-Unit label to Caroline/Capitol/UMG, with the signing of a worldwide distribution and service deal with the establishment.

"Both myself and Shady Records are grateful to have had the chance to play a part in 50's career. Shady simply would not be what it is without 50 Cent. I've developed a great friendship with 50 over the years, and that's not going to change. Hmm! Honestly, I never thought I would witness the day 50 Cent would part ways with Eminem and Dr. Dre. But as I said earlier, there is always an end to everything. Below is what 50 Cent himself had to say about the his departure from Shady-Aftermath.

Album Cover of Yelawolf's Radioactive Revealed

Yelawolf has just revealed the cover art of his debut album, Radioactive for fans to feast their eyes on before the album drops later this year. It was originally meant to drop on September 27, but has now been shifted to November 21...hmm! that's 7 days after the release of Drake's Take Care album. I think the fourth quarter of the year is really looking nice.

I think the album cover has a very catchy look to it...some kids might just pick it up based on the cover alone; nice marketing strategy. Yelawolf is a white rapper, but his rap style is more of a black rapper than Eminem or Asher roth; let's see what he comes up with on his debut.

“I needed to add some important finishing touches to the album which resulted in the new release date,” said Yelawolf.  “I have some surprises in store for the fans that have to be seen before the album comes out. It’s definitely worth the wait.”

Okay, we will wait and see. Eminem also spoke on the album-

"We are very eager for the world to hearRadioactive and proud to be presenting the album on Shady Records,” said Em. “Yelawolf is a true original and he has crafted an incredible record."

With Yelawolf, and the whole slaughterhouse crew, Shady Records is looking strong again. Personally, i think this is the strongest Shady has ever been. Really, D12 didn't cut it for me, and Obie Trice was just an okay rapper. I think Eminem has made the right choices of recent.

Eminem Talks Rebuilding Shady Records

Eminem is focusing on building up his lable, Shady Records to compete with the hot ones out there presently. There was a time shady was the ish, but it has been the same story in the last 5 years or so. The signing of Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse (royce da 5'9, joe budden, crooked 1 and joel ortiz) will sure do wonders to the status of the label.

"The whole Slaughterhouse thing and what Royce [Da 5'9] was doing when they formed that group, it was exciting to me just because, aside from the Detroit connection that I already had with Royce, to me it's just exciting for hip-hop because it's so new and fresh and different," Slim Shady said. "And also, at the same time, I feel like I'm kinda taking this year to try and reestablish and rebuild the label back too." (MTV)



I think if he focuses well enough, they would become a Force to reckon with, because he is signing up really talented rappers...i mean on a lyrical tip. Eminem has always had that huge following, so i think the people he signs can rub off him on that...and it is even better that they are dope emcees on their own personal level.
