During his interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club show crew (DJ Envy, Charlamange the God, and Angela Yee) a few weeks ago, 21 Savage was trying to defend mumble rappers, and he kinda took shots at Eminem a little. He believes rap is an art form, so everyone should be allowed to express themselves the way they choose to.

"This is art, so how the fuck can you tell me how to express myself at the end of the day? You might want to express yourself that way. You might want to say 50 million words as fast as possible, with the most metaphors in the world. That's your way of expressing yourself. It ain't no right and wrong way to be a hip hop artist. You know what I'm saying. This is our art. This is our unique. This is our...he got his thing, he got his thing. If everybody wanted to be on some super rap shit, everybody would sound the same. Like, it would be pointless. If that's the case, we would just need one raper. What's the point of having all these artists of y'all want the to do the same fucking thing. You know what I'm saying."
WORD!!! I am with him 100%. And he sure is talking about Eminem. Eminem was taking shots at mumble rappers all over his Kamikaze album. And Eminem sure is who he is clearly referring to when he said, "You might want to say 50 million words as fast as possible, with the most metaphors in the world." That's Eminem's style right there. But as 21 Savage said, rap is art, and everyone should be allowed to express themselves how they choose to. If everyone did the same thing, then it would get boring and uncreative. If you don't like how someone raps it doesn't mean there are not millions out there who like it. And there are also millions out there who don't like what you consider 'real rap.' Live and let live...there is enough room for everyone to do their thing their way.
