Drake Speaks on Getting $10,000 From Dr. Dre for His Contribution on Detox

Although the album never came out, Drake was one of the many rappers that worked on Dr. Dre's Detox, which was meant to be Dre's third album, but never dropped. This was in the late 2000s, and Drake was not a known name in the hip hop world at the time. Dre heard one of his underground tracks, and flew him to LA to work on Detox.

In case you don't know who he was, the man played a big part in the success of the legendary Hip Hop group, N.W.A (Niggas With Attitude). Back in 1987, he signed a partnership deal with Eazy E to form Ruthless Records, and used his connections (he had been managing successful musicians as far back as the 70s and 60s) in the music industry to push N.W.A's music to nationwide status in the U.S.

Did Dr. Dre Break Confidentiality Agreement With Apple By Celebrating too Early?

Everyone knows about the deal Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine's headphone company, Beats By Dre is rumored to be doing with Apple; the $3.2 million acquisition deal. The news came out a couple of days ago, but it was said to be still in the talks. Until a video hit the Internet two days ago, of Tyrese and Dre in the studio celebrating Dre's new billionaire status. Since the deal has not officially been inked, business experts are saying Dre might have broken confidentiality agreement between Beats By Dre (the company) and Apple. 

HipHopDX got with a business expert/strategic adviser, Corey Davis (MD of White, Weld & Co. Securities), to find out if Dre did break the confidential agreement between he and Apple. Read what he had to say below. 



“While there is a large amount of speculation in the media about a potential deal with Apple and Beats Electronics, there has yet to be any direct confirmation from the parties involved. I reviewed the video of Tyrese and Dr. Dre talking about the ‘first hip hop billionaire’ and changing the Forbes list. A viewer could infer from the media speculation that Dre is referring to his newly found wealth as a result of the rumored deal...The answer to your question regarding whether or not this 'statement' breaks any confidentiality clauses falls into a 'grey' area,”


Mr. Davis went on to say he feels Dre. didn't break any laws.

“There are ethics, there are morals and then there is the law. While I am not a lawyer, one could argue that he didn’t break any laws because (i) even without a deal, the company now has an implied value of $3.2 billion (or more); and (ii) neither Dre or Tyrese mention Apple. I am sure their lawyers aren’t pleased about the video given that it has been removed from Tyrese’s Facebook page...Finally, as a privately held company, any leaks of a deal will not cause the deal price to go up—with the exception that it might entice new bidders to come to the fore. However, if the bankers did their job, you would expect all of the likely buyers to have already been contacted. In fact, their lapse in judgment could have an unintended consequence that could cause the deal to collapse. If investors think a deal between Apple and Beats Electronics doesn’t make sense, they could sell Apple stock causing the share price to decline—sending a strong message to Apple management that they don’t approve. If the deal hasn’t been inked, it could cause management to rethink their decision.” 

Dr. Dre Sues Death Row Records for $3 Million

Word out now is that legendary producer, Dr. Dre is suing Death Row Records for $3 million. The label was formerly owned by Suge Knight. In the early 90s, Dre helped produce some classic albums (His Chronic album, Snoop's Doggystyle album, Tupac's All Eyez On Me...) while there, and hasn't been properly compensated for his works.

The producer says that he is owed $1,200,386.57 in unpaid artist-producer royalties, $1,179,913 from digital sales and $676,444.44 for unpaid mechanical royalties. The digital sales amount is based on a judge’s suggestion after Dr. Dre lost a 2010 trademark infringement suit, the story says. (hiphopdx.com)

Death Row was started by Suge Knight , The D.O.C, Dick Griffey, and Dr. Dre back in 1991. Suge was the C.E.O till the label filed for bankruptcy in 2006, and was auctioned off in 2009 for $18 million to WIDEawake Entertainment Group, Inc.

Dr. Dre Says He Never Listens to His Music After They are Released

The legendary producer/rapper that has helped out more rappers than can be counted says he doesn't listen to his music after they leave the lab. Hmm! Interesting. Read what he had to say about this below...and also about his process of music making.





"I’ve gone seventy-nine hours without sleep, creating. When that flow is going, it’s almost like a high. You don’t want it to stop. You don’t want to go to sleep for fear of missing something...I don’t even listen to the records after they come out. It’s outlawed in my house. My wife and my kids can’t play any of my music around me. Once it comes out, for me, it’s just business. Numbers."




That's interesting.There are non-fiction books I have written that I never read after they were published on Amazon, but I always like to read my fiction books after I am done with them. Maybe cos I write for my pleasure as much as for the pleasure of external readers. Anyway, maybe Dre is into so much that he doesn't want to be caught living in the past. Once he bangs-out a beat, or a song, it is off to the next one.

Suge Knight Says Tupac Called Dr Dre a Fag

I know Dr Dre and Tupac fell-off a couple of months before Pac's death, and i can remember listening to a track back in days where Tupac called out Dre on his sexuality, but, i didn't know Pac meant it like that. My conclusion was just that Tupac was enraged over something Dre did to him; maybe an act Pac considered disloyal (Pac was really big on that Loyalty thing), and just used abusive words that would reflect the weight of his annoyance. Anyway, Suge Knight makes us believe Pac really meant his words...or how he felt about Dre.

"Ninety-five percent of them is closet cases," Knight told radio host Howard Stern when asked about homosexual rappers. "I wouldn't say ninety-five percent because I don't know all of them, I know the ones that was on my label [Death Row] was like that -- recently, [Dr.] Dre went to my P.O. and tried to get me violated, he snitched on me. I haven't even seen the guy since I've been home. I'm on parole -- anyway, he went to my P.O. ... He basically put a restraining order on me. Only people I know put a restraining order on somebody, unless it's a battered woman, wife, baby mama, I don't know a so-called gangster rapper going to put a restraining order against another man. Suge then went on to bring up an alleged meeting where the late Tupac Shakur blasted Dre's sexuality.
"We had meetings in the red room and once we had these meetings, you had to put everything on the table. Everybody had some drinks and wasn't nobody lying. Anybody got caught lying, it was always a consequence. So Tupac stood up and said, 'I'm tired of this, I'm tired of this. Dre, you's a f*ggot.' Dre said, 'First of all, I'm not a f*ggot.' He said, 'OK, then you're a homosexual.' He said, 'I'm not a homosexual.' .... Dre, you's a f*ggot." ("The Howard Stern Show")





Hmm! Interesting. I also remember Jarule calling Dre a Fag when they had there beef back in the early to mid 00s. Well, i really could care less if he is really a Homosexual, or Bisexual...as i always say, i am just reporting news.

Does Tupac Hologram Ressurect Him in A Way

Last weekend's Coachella concert had a hologram of Tupac performing alongside Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, and people present, including Rihanna say it felt so real it was like Tupac was really there on stage. And the thing about the hologram is that it wasn't made from old footage of pac, this is all fresh...check out more explanation of it below-

Shakur was killed in 1996. His likeness has been reproduced by Digital Domain Media Group, combining cutting edge technology with a visual trick dubbed Pepper's Ghost that dates back to the 1800s. "This is not found footage. This is not archival footage," Digital Domain's chief creative officer Ed Ulbrich told the Wall Street Journal. "This is an illusion." He added that Sunday's performances of "Hail Mary" and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" are "just the beginning." "Dre has a massive vision for this," he said. (Billboard)

Although appearing in 3D, the digitalized Pac was reportedly in 2D.

Though the virtual Tupac has been widely described as a hologram, it is in fact a 2D image projected to appear as a 3D effect. To achieve this, a digital image of the Tupac animation was projected onto a reflective surface on the floor of the stage, which then bounced on to a piece of Mylar that reflects the image while appearing otherwise clear. When Snoop Dogg appeared to be rapping along with Tupac, he was standing behind the Mylar screen. (Rolling Stone)

This is really interesting to me, because i have always been interested in holograms, and the things that can be done with them. I think it is great innovation. Now, there is talks of a planned tour that would include this new resurrected Tupac. Read about it below-

Representatives for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg plan to discuss logistics for a tour involving the two performers and the virtual Tupac, according to a person familiar with the discussions. One option would be a tour in stadiums, involving other hip-hop stars, including Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. Alternately, they could stage a more limited tour, featuring only Dre, Snoop Dogg and the virtual Tupac, in smaller arenas. (Wall Street Journal)

Dr Dre Talks Hiatus

People have been expecting Detox, the third album from Dr Dre for over 7 years now, and Dre has just come forward to say that he is going to take a break from music, and focus on his protege's- Slim Tha Mobster and Kendrick Lamar. Read what he has to say below-


"These are the next two artists I'm working on, Slim the Mobster and Kendrick Lamar. I think that's when I'm gonna just wrap it up for a minute because I've been working on music for 27 years now and the longest I've ever been out of the studio in 27 years has been two weeks," Dr. Dre said in an interview. "So yeah I feel like I'm gonna take a little bit of a break. I'm never gonna stop music, it's like air to me. So I'mma take a little bit of a break. Enjoy some time with the family til I get that itch to get back in." (FADER TV)


Hmm! I guess this means that DETOX is probably going to be scrapped. I guess this is Dr Dre officially telling the public to forget the idea that any album like DETOX would be dropping from him. From day 1 i always knew the reason for the delay was because people were expecting too much from Dre, and he really just wanted to lay-back and work at his own pace.

Game Says Kendrick Lamar is All Over Detox

I know Dr Dre always needs that one hot protege rapper as a sidekick whenever he drops an album, and i think that's why he hasn't dropped Detox yet. When he dropped the first "Chronic" album in 1992, he had Snoop by his side, and snoop was at his best then. When he dropped Chronic 2001 in 1999, he had Snoop again, but most especially, Eminem. When he was working on dropping Detox in 2005/2006, he had Eminem, 50 cent and Game- what a force. Then, Game and 50 cent had their falling out, and the cookie crumbled. Now, Game is saying Kendrick Lamar, who i consider as one of the dopest rappers of his generation, is all over Detox.

“Before Kendrick Lamar was Kendrick Lamar, he was K. Dot and he ran with me. I took him and Jay Rock on a tour with me and Snoop, way long time ago, and so I always told K. Dot to stay focused and he would get his day, and he did. It’s almost his time. He all over Detox.”

So, what is Dr Dre waiting for? I guess that is what happens when people put you on such a high pedistle; the fear that you might dissapoint them stops you from doing anything. I know how Dre most feel with each day that goes by that Detox doesn't drop. He has two singles out, i think he just needs to drop a very hot third single, and drop the album regardless of the buzz. 

In the same interview where game talked about Kendrick Lamar being all over Detox, he also answered the question of how he and Dr Dre got back together.

“The reason we didn’t connect musically throughout is because he didn’t want to get between that whole me and 50 beef, and I understood. He had his trials and tribulations in his career, and I didn’t think he should jump in mines or be a part of that, and if he didn’t want to, I didn’t care,” he explained. “So he called one day and was like, ‘Yo, you wanna work?’ I was like ‘Yeah.’ He’s like, ‘Come down, I need some help.’ So I came down, we had a conversation. He asked me if I needed anything from him, and I was like, nah, I don’t really need anything. And I told him I was there for whatever he needed for Detox, and I started going in.”

Game's R.E.D Album To Be Narrated By Dr Dre

Game just came forward to give more info on his anticipated 4th album; R.E.D. The latest gist is that Dr Dre is going to narrate the entire album, track to track. Hmm! I think that is really interesting, and this gives me a view that the album is going to have a lot of concept songs.

"The album is real theatrical; it's a movie," Game said. "And it's narrated by Dr. Dre -- the entire album." Dre, who originally signed Game to his Aftermath label and oversaw the rapper's debut, The Documentary, has played a limited role in the rapper's career since Game's fallout with 50 Cent, who is also signed to Dre's Aftermath. Since then, the West Coast production icon hasn't contributed beats or vocals to any of Game's subsequent albums. And though the two have since reconciled and have been spotted in the studio together, this will mark the first time that they've actually collaborated on album-worthy material. (RapFix)

I just hope the album comes out on Aug 23rd as promised. The album has gone through so many delays since 2009, and i think it is time to get it out regardless of what ever buzz he has or does not have. I think it is time for him to start building a mainstream fan-base again, and he can achieve that gradually...he doesn't have to wait for one big banging single like he has been doing the last 2 years. If he is the game i know, there are going to be a lot of surprises on the album for real rap listeners. And with him saying that he guarantees that it is going to be the rap album of the year, i would take his word for it

Game Talks R.E.D Album and Dr Dre Feature

I am a big Game fan, but i have to confess that he has pushed this album back far too long. He is probably scared of what it is going to sell, but he has lost more fans in the process. I wish him all the best when he  eventually drops his R.E.D album. He came forward in a recent interview to say that Dr Dre would actually be rapping on a track off the album. That would be cool; even if it is just dre rapping the hook, it would still have people checking for it, because dre rarely does that.

"This album is the most incredible album of my career," said Game of his R.E.D. Album in an interview with MTV News "First, I'm back with Dr. Dre, which is a bonus and dope for me. Second, executive-produced by Pharrell, co-executive-produced by myself and Mars."

"And Dre's rapping on the album,"

I am okay with all the information from the album except the Pharell bit. His association with Pharell is  probably the reason why he hasn't dropped this album yet. Through-out 2009 and 2010, he dropped some pharell produced tracks that were lukewarm; the songs took him out of his element. Game needs to know that  he is not built for "soft", "love song", "over melodious" type of rap that pharell makes. Of course, The Neptunes have made banging/knocking beats in the past, but not really the right sequencing Game would flow well on. Jay-Z goes well with Pharell, but definitely not game. I think i liked the It Must Be Me [Explicit] track that Pharell produced for Game, but other than that, the rest have just been aiight...not hot.

Game needs Knocking beats, that's why he works well with Dre. That's also the same reason why he always makes bangers when he works with "Cool N Dre"; but pharell executive producing the album ain't a good decision. I think "Mars" is still in line with game's elements, but please, not pharell. He needs to do something about it fast.

The RED NATION track, which was meant to be the first single, had the video banned from B.E.T and M.T.V. I think they said it showed too much Gang Affiliation. Now, he recently shot the video for Pot Of Gold with Chris Brown. I like the song, and i think a lot of people would also love it. But, my concern is this; Can't Game make a hit song where it is just him? I have heard his previous albums, and there are always some pretty decent songs on there that nobody gets to hear. But, i guess he is not confident of himself. As Henry Ford said- "if you think you can't or you think you can, you are right either way".

Snoop Says Dr Dre Needs to Surround Himself with the Right People to Complete Detox

Snoop Dogg, long time friend and associate of Dr Dre says he feels Dr Dre is surrounding himself with the wrong set of people, which is the reason why his highly anticipated album, Detox still hasn't seen the light of day. You know what? I am getting really tired of hearing about this album (detox); i have been waiting on it since my second year in college, and that was in 2004. That was 7 years ago, and this man can't still get himself together to put the album out.

Don't get me wrong, i am a Dr Dre fan, and i love his music and production, but i am also an artists, i write novels, and if i had waited for when i felt was perfect, i would never have written all the story ideas that come to me regularly. So, relating this to dre, i am sure he has a concept for the album, and how to go about it, but he must be scared of the new market or something, cos i don't know why he can't just GET IT OUT ALREADY!

During an interview with Tim Westwood, rapper Snoop Dogg gave some interesting insight on why he believes there’s been such a delay in releasing Dr. Dre’s Detox album. Snoop explained that the main problem is the type of environment Dre’s creating his music in.

“It’s a formula. Like I was trying to explain to you earlier when we made records in the past it was an environment, an atmosphere. It was always girls,” Snoop explained. “It was always parties. It was always the right atmosphere to create that kind of album that sounds like the albums that you’ve heard in the past. If there’s not that atmosphere you can’t create that kind of album. So that’s what’s happening right now. The songs don’t match the atmosphere and the atmosphere don’t match the songs.”

Snoop went on to explain that due to his perfectionist side Dr. Dre is unlikely to release anything until he feels that it’s close to perfect.

“What we’re accustomed to hearing from Dr. Dre is the brand new, next best everything and from right now people not getting that. He knows that,” said Snoop. “So he’s a perfectionist and until he gets that he’s not gonna release it cause he doesn’t want the scrutiny of people saying ‘I waited this long for that?’ It’s like when I wait this long I better get that and that.”

Snoop also shed some light on the fact that Dr. Dre may not be surrounding himself with the right people when it comes to making his album. He also shared that he feels like he and D.O.C. need to be a part of Detox in order for it to work.

“I’mma say this and I don’t know if it’s gonna ruffle any feathers. I just think the wrong people is in the environment. When he made records that were hit records in the past: D.O.C., Snoop Dogg, RBX, Kurupt,” said the rapper. “It’s like it’s pieces that’s not there that need to be there. And I’ll say D.O.C. and Snoop Dogg is the backbone. When you take those two equations and you take them out of the equation it’s not gonna work. You need to put them two back into the situation and let us mastermind and head the project like we did The Chronic in 2001. That’s what’s missing.”

Dr Dre Wins Law Suit Against Death Row Records

Dr Dre just won 100% rights to the sales of his 1992 album, Chronic. He was signed to Death Row Records from early to mid 90's, while he was there with label mates, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac. He has since created his own label, Aftermath Records, which is under Interscope Records, but could not get 100% control of materials he recorded while at death row. I think dre needs to pop a champagne rigth now, cos that is a great achievement. His chronic album is a classic and would always continue to sell, and bring in Passive income for him.

Tuesday, US District Judge Christina Snyder issued a ruling that entitled Dr. Dre to 100% of all digital royalties from The Chronic. In 2010, Dre filed a lawsuit against WIDEawake/Death Row Records alleging that he had been grossly undercompensated for his critically acclaimed album. The album sold well over 3 million copies, and during the 2010 suit, Dre’s attorneys were seeking upwards of $75,000.

According to reports by the Associated Press, a 1996 exit agreement between Dre and the original Death Row called for Dr. Dre to receive 18% royalties on music he created while at Death Row and gave him extensive authority over how the songs were used. Judge Snyder ruled that when WIDEawake purchased Death Row’s assets in 2009, they were restricted to selling the assets in the original format in which they appeared. Of course, all of the early Death Row albums were created in the early-to-mid nineties prior to the invention of iTunes and other digital licensing services.

“For years, Death Row Records forgot about Dre when they continued to distribute his music digitally and combined his hits with weaker Death Row tracks in an attempt to elevate the stature of their other artists,” Dr. Dre’s attorney Howard King wrote in a prepared statement. “We are gratified that the federal court has unambiguously declared that Death Row has no right to engage in such tactics, and must hold all proceeds from these illicit distributions in trust for our client.”

Dr Dre Names His Favourite Rapper.

A lot of people have listed their top five dead or alive, or their top ten list of rappers, but Dr Dre is just talking about one rapper he is a fan of. I think it is cool that dre would mention someone he watched grow. It is all good.

"I mean Jay is my favorite. I'm a huge Jay -Z fan. I love it. I'm waiting for his record right now. Hopefully, I'll get a track on it. We'll see. Yeah I love it. Because it helps keep alive the type of music that I love to do." (XXL Magazine)

WOW! Were you surprised? I don't think you should be, because dre has shown this in the past that he admires jay's works. In 1999, jay-z wrote the song, "still dre" for dre's comeback.

Dr Dre's Detox Album is Finally Dropping.

There is finally some hope that Producer/Rapper, Dr Dre is going to drop his long awaited album. I think i have been waiting on this album since when i was in my second year in college, and that was back in 2004, but i thank God it is finally dropping.

In a recent interview, Dre didn't give a specific date, but said it would definitely drop in the first quarter of next year, probably Feb of 2011. I think i can take him for his word this time since the official first single, "kush", is out and is slowly growing on people. The single features Akon and Snoop Dogg. Other feautured artist on the album are Eminem, Jay-Z and The Game.

If you don't really know Dre from the past let me give you a quick run down; he was in the legendary West Coast rap group, NWA, which also had Eazy E and Ice Cube as members, back in the late eighties. He went on to Death Row records, which was put up by Suge Knights, and dropped his first solo album, The Chronic, which was a huge success, in 1992, and then dropped his second album, in 1999, which he titled 2001. Both albums have sold a combined 16million copies, in the U.S alone, and more millions worldwide. He signed and developed the careers of super star rappers like Snoop, eminem, 50cent and The Game.

DR DRE TO FEATURE JAY-Z ON DETOX'S FIRST SINGLE.

There is  news from MICHEAL YO of E! NEWS, on his twitter page that DR DRE IS TO FEATURE JAY-Z ON DETOX'S FIRST SINGLE. If you didn't know, detox is the title of the legendary west coast producer/rapper/beat maker, dr dre's 3rd album. Since after he dropped his last album, 2001, which was in 1999, his fans have been waiting endlessly for the next one.

The buzz for detox came up as far back as 2004, and it has been highly anticipated since then. I don't think any other album has been delayed the way detox has been, but people keep saying it is worth the wait. I can remember on THE GAME'S debut album, when dre had a litle cameo where he says we should watch out for detox, and that was in 2005, five years ago.

Jay and dre have worked together in the past, and there was rumor that jay ghost wrote the first single from 2001, but i am not to sure about that. Dre has done some beats for jay-z in the past, some wonderful classic beats, which would include The Watcher 2, that featured legendary rapper, rakim, and also dre himself, on jay's Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse album.

Now that they have worked together again on this unnamed song, it is sure to come out good.

IS DRE EVER GOING TO DROP DETOX?

I ma really getting tired of waiting on DETOX, dre's third studio album. People have been waiting on the album for like 6 years now. Just yesterday, i was listening to GAME'S debut album, THE DOCUMENTARY, and there was a song on it where dre comes in and says, "watch out for detox"; that was in 2005, 5 years ago. And the album is still not out, and he is even saying he does not know when it would drop.

I think he should just cancel the project, so that the whole world would stop waiting on it. He can do that, and start working on it on the down low, so that there would not be any pressure as per the release date.

I remember sometime late last year when i heard he and game were back in the studio, and were working on the album, i thought to myself "finally, detox would drop". And till now, even though he had SNOOP DOGG and STAT QUO also in the studio with him, day and night, i thought that would be enough force to push out the album, but i guess i was wrong.

Below is what he had to say about it:
"Once that sound is right, once that mix is right, it's a feeling that you get, here -- It's unexplainable," Dre said about putting together his records. "I have to go out to clubs now...You need to understand what people are listening to. I'm working hard on it. I'm stopping to work on other artists in-between, but the minute it's done and I feel it right here. I don't think I've done that [perfect] record yet. I'll know what it is when it comes; I know exactly what it is in my head, but I haven't done it yet. It's close...I got some sh*t coming, believe me."

On another note, i guess i know where he is coming from; he has to really perfect his job to the point where he feels it has gotten to that level, that dre standard. I wish him all the best.

CROKED 1 COMMENTS ON DR DRE'S DETOX ALBUM.

SLAUGHTER HOUSE member, and former DEATH ROW RECORDS artist, CROOKED 1 recently commented on DR DRE'S most anticipated album, DETOX. Everybody has been waiting on detox for about 4 years now, and it is funny that people are still ready to wait and hear this album.

I remembered before dre dropped CHRONIC 2001, in 1999, people didn't even think he was going to drop another album. By then he already had about 14 years under his belt with the must notorious rap group , N.W.A; as a solo artist; and also as a producer of many artist (SNOOP, EMINEM, THE FIRM...), but he surprised a lot of people because he still was relevant when he dropped the album.

With this album, dre had a master plan, he kept on building on, until one of the elements of that plan messed it up. Dre's plan was to build up his protégées(50 cent, eminem, the game), then use them to spice up his album, but, THE GAME, being the last ingredient of that soup, messed it all up with his beef with 50 CENT. So now that game is back in the studio with dre, i have a good feeling that the album would be ready before people can say CLASSIC!!!!

"What Dr. Dre needs to know is, people, even the ones that you think are the least likely to be waiting on Detox, are waiting on Detox," he explained in an interview. "That album is like a myth but I've been inside the studio and I've heard some of the bangers. Right now, he could drop 10 Detox's. [laughs] You know what's so interesting to me? Dre's a perfectionist and I don't know if he's not comfortable with all of the heat that he has but the work is there. The stuff I heard is bangin'. GAME TALKS MORE ON THE RED ALBUM AND WORKIGN WITH DRE.

You know i am a big GAME fan, so you would always here it first, anything that has to do with him and his album, i got that for you. Even if it has to do with his personal life, i got that to...nah, i am just joking; it's all music hear, all about what is good in rap.

Several weeks ago, GAME surprised people on his TWITTER page when he posted a picture of him, SNOOP and DR DRE; up before then, people thought he would never get with dre again. Following the 2005 disbandment of GAME from G-UNIT, DRE's silence on the matter, made everybody believe that he was on 50's side; so as long as game and 50 still had their beef, people never believed they would see game and dre together again. And the fact that dre did not appear on, or did any production on game's last two albums, L.A.X and DOCTOR'S ADVOCATE, further cemented this in the mind of a lot people. So, it was really a big shocker to a lot of people.

The picture showed the three in the studio, and game twitted that they were working on DETOX, dre's album. Now, and recently, game has been talking about the good doc putting some work in on his album, THE RED ALBUM, and that would be real good news for the game fans.

I am a game fan, and i know he got mad skills, but sometimes, he does not know in what direction to go. I think this link-up with dre will do a lot of good for the album. I can't wait till it drops in FEB, Feb 16 2010, to be precise.

Below is what game had to say about the matter when he called into DJ GREEN LANTERN'S show, recently:

"R.E.D., I'm just painting the whole world red," Game promised in an interview with DJ Green Lantern. "It's basically the re-dedication, it's my most hood and street album since The Documentary so it's basically being rededicated to my fans, my family, my kids, my block, my hood. Like, hip-hop, the R.E.D. Album is gonna be crazy. I'm back in with Dre everyday going hard in the studio doing the little stuff, working on Detox with him and he's working on The R.E.D. Album with me. It's just, we got a good feeling out here...I did my last two albums without Dre and even though, I just did it on my own man. When I talked to him, he [was like] I've been doing a good job and he took a listen and I did my thing. I learned well, my time at Aftermath was spent well, so getting back in, that old feeling came back. The chemistry is crazy, I got a lot of love for that dude and that's why I never really disrespected him or really went at Aftermath, I only did what I had to do to survive man, but I got love for dude and we back in grindin' man."

GAME BACK WITH DR DRE.

I remember telling people that DR DRE was planing to use GAME, EMINEM, and 50 CENT as guest artist on his album, DETOX. That is the strategy(using a hot protege) dre uses on all his albums; on the first one, he had snoop all over the place; on chronic 2001, he had snoop again, he had eminem, he had exibit, he had mel man...

I was telling peeps back then that detox would not drop untill game gets on it. Game is from the west, the hottest west coast cat of back then, when dre was really trying to get detox out. Game is still the hottest act from the west, and incidentally, is also from COMPTON, the city dre is from. I just new it was only a matter of time before dre got back with game. Now that the 50 cent beef is almost dead, and 50 is less relevant than he was back in 2005, dre has gotten back with game.

SNOOP, GAME, AND DR DRE are presently in the studio working on DETOX. The picture, which snoop and game put on twitter is an evidence. I wonder what 50 has to say about this. Dre was quiet all that while because he didn't want to take sides, but every body knows who the doc really respects on the mic. Hate him or love him, game is a beast on the mic. And with dre's guidiance, it is another story.
