Legendary rapper, Snoop Dogg is about to drop his 15th album titled Never Left, and the tracklist just hit the Internet. Yea, true, he really never left. One of the few from the Biggie and Tupac era that has stayed in the rap game through all the years.

Donald Trump Fires Back at Snoop Dogg

"Snoop Dogg" is currently trending on Twitter...I think it has a total of 110 thousand Tweets right now. And why is that? Because, two days ago, a music video was released where Snoop kidnapped a white man (who looked like Donald Trump), and at a point, he pointed a fake gun at him and fired it.


The American president, Donald Trump felt very disrespected and fired back with this Tweet below...

Hope you do know that Mary Jane is a phrase used in place of Marijuana/Weed. Snoop just did a play on words to the website name by calling it Merry Jane, instead of Mary Jane. Hip Hop History: Who is Harry O?

I think it is always interesting to dig into the past, and bring up some interesting Hip Hop history that people might not have knowledge of. Majority of Hip Hop listeners know Snoop Dogg; they know Dr. Dre, Tupac, and Suge Knight. If you know all the people I have mentioned above, then you know what ties them together is a record label called- Death Row Records. Although the label is now defunct, it can never be forgotten in the history of Hip Hop because of those great rappers I mentioned, who were at one time or the other on the label.

So, who is Harry O and what does he have to do with all these? Well, the thing is, if it wasn't for Michael 'Harry O' Harris, Death Row might not have been founded, and maybe Snoop, Tupac, and Nate Dogg might not have attained the monumental status they attained while on the label in the mid 90s.

Snoop Recalls Last Moments With Tupac

In a recent interview with Sway, Snoop spoke about his last moments with Tupac, before the legend was murdered. It seems Pac really didn't have much friends left before his death-

"Last time I saw him, he was laying in the bed, Holding onto his last breath. I had seen him before that. We had just left New York. I had gotten off the radio station with Angie Martinez. That's when me and him clashed, because she asked me on the air, 'How do you feel about Puffy and Biggie?' And I said what I felt. 'They my homeboys. I love 'em.' When I got back to the hotel, it was a whole 'nother atmosphere, like he sent his homeboy to get the bud from me as opposed to him coming to get it from me. ...So I felt funny... When I got on the plane to go to LA the next day, Suge didn't let none of my security ride with me. I had to ride on the plane with him, his homies, and Pac. And it was the most uncomfortable ride I had in my life, because my nigga didn't say nothin' to me the whole ride. That's a five-hour flight on a private plane."

For those that don't know, Snoop started out with Death Row Records back in the early 90s, under Suge Knight, and producer, Dr. Dre. Suge signed Tupac to Death Row Records in 1995, and Snoop and Tupac became label mates. At the time, Tupac was already beefing with Biggie and Puff, but Snoop was friends' with Big and Puff before Pac got signed to Death Row. I think Angie shouldn't have asked that question, knowing that the question would brew up negativity which ever answer Snoop gave...whether riding with his label mate and friend (Tupac), or riding with his homeboys, puff and biggie. But, i still think Snoop should have tried to be more diplomatic with his answer.

"I walk up to him, maybe three hours into the flight, sit next to him like, 'Yo goin' to Vegas, cuz?' He turns [away from me], starts talkin' to somebody else. I'm like, alright, go in the back, put the blanket on my head, knife in my hand, fork in my hand, and just sleep the rest of the ride, because I feel like they finna try to do something. When we walk out...I'm like, 'Cuz, you goin' to Vegas?' He do me like [dismissive gesture]. He went his way, I went my way. Next time I get a call, niggas like, 'Turn on the news! Snoop Speaks On Ending Feud With Suge Knights

Suge Knights founded the undisputed Death Row Records in the early 90s, and Snoop, along with some other highly commercially successful artists were signed to the label. First, Dr. Dre (the then President of the label) left in 1995, then Tupac died in 1996, and then Snoop left officially in 1998. Since then, Snoop and Suge Knights have not been on good terms. Harsh words were exchanged, and there was a time Snoop claimed Suge had put a price on his head. But that was more than a decade ago, and the grown men are passed all that now. They showed it when pictures taken from one of Snoop’s recent shows showed Suge and Snoop hanging out together.

Snoop got with Skee TV recently and let the cat out the bag on the issue-

“I think time heals all wounds, and then being a bigger man and being one who accepts responsibilities and right or wrong, I like saving lives. I don’t like to take lives. If that means putting my hand out saying I’m wrong, I apologize and we be cool. I’ll do that as opposed to me going behind my back , pulling a gun out and getting somebody or me doing something vicious to you.”

Bunny Wailer Calls Snoop Dogg A Fake Rasta

It appears Snoop Dogg...or, rather, Snoop Lion is catching a lot of heat in the Rasta world for turning to a Rastafarian overnight. Last year, after a short visit to Jamaica, Snoop caught the holy ghost. And in line of becoming a Rastafarian, he changed his name to Snoop Lion. Former Bob Marley band-mate, Bunny Wailer and some other known Rasta men are not too happy with Snoop's decision, and claim that he is just doing this for publicity.

Snoop Lion, nee Snoop Dogg, has done the seemingly impossible -- pissed off a bunch of ganja smoking Rastafarians -- who claim he lied about becoming a Rasta just to make a movie and sell records ... and now they're threatening to sue.

Bunny Wailer -- an original member of Bob Marley and the Wailers -- tells TMZ he's heated about the docu-film "Reincarnated" ... which documented Snoop's immersion in the Rasta culture as he recorded his first reggae album in Jamaica last year.

Wailer claims Snoop has engaged in "outright fraudulent use of Rastafari Community's personalities and symbolism" -- and has failed to meet "contractual, moral and verbal commitments."  

And it's not just Bunny who feels burned -- leaders of something called the Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council (aka Rastafari Millennium Council) -- fired off a 7-page demand letter to Snoop.

In the docs they claim to have made it clear to Snoop that "smoking weed and loving Bob Marley and reggae music is not what defines the Rastafari Indigenous Culture!" 

Bottom line ... they want Snoop to stop using the name "Lion" ... pay up the "financial and moral support" they claim he committed, and issue a public apology (tmz.com)

Snoop Dogg Would Gladly Give His Kids Some Weed Education

Snoop Dogg, who recently got an epiphany when he smoked some Jamaican weed and changed his name to Snoop Lion has said in a recent interview that he would definitely show his kids the ropes when it comes to smoking that cush. You can read below what he said about protecting his kids against bad weed (Marijuana) .




"It's not that I would ever push weed on our kids," explained Snoop, who has three children, and is famously fond of weed. "[B]ut if they wanted to, I would love to show them how, the right way, so that way they won't get nothing put in their shit or overdose or trying some shit that ain't clean."







Hmm! That's some interesting stuff...don't you think?

Does Tupac Hologram Ressurect Him in A Way

Last weekend's Coachella concert had a hologram of Tupac performing alongside Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, and people present, including Rihanna say it felt so real it was like Tupac was really there on stage. And the thing about the hologram is that it wasn't made from old footage of pac, this is all fresh...check out more explanation of it below-

Shakur was killed in 1996. His likeness has been reproduced by Digital Domain Media Group, combining cutting edge technology with a visual trick dubbed Pepper's Ghost that dates back to the 1800s. "This is not found footage. This is not archival footage," Digital Domain's chief creative officer Ed Ulbrich told the Wall Street Journal. "This is an illusion." He added that Sunday's performances of "Hail Mary" and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" are "just the beginning." "Dre has a massive vision for this," he said. (Billboard)

Although appearing in 3D, the digitalized Pac was reportedly in 2D.

Though the virtual Tupac has been widely described as a hologram, it is in fact a 2D image projected to appear as a 3D effect. To achieve this, a digital image of the Tupac animation was projected onto a reflective surface on the floor of the stage, which then bounced on to a piece of Mylar that reflects the image while appearing otherwise clear. When Snoop Dogg appeared to be rapping along with Tupac, he was standing behind the Mylar screen. (Rolling Stone)

This is really interesting to me, because i have always been interested in holograms, and the things that can be done with them. I think it is great innovation. Now, there is talks of a planned tour that would include this new resurrected Tupac. Read about it below-

Representatives for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg plan to discuss logistics for a tour involving the two performers and the virtual Tupac, according to a person familiar with the discussions. One option would be a tour in stadiums, involving other hip-hop stars, including Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. Alternately, they could stage a more limited tour, featuring only Dre, Snoop Dogg and the virtual Tupac, in smaller arenas. (Wall Street Journal)

Snoop Says Dr Dre Needs to Surround Himself with the Right People to Complete Detox

Snoop Dogg, long time friend and associate of Dr Dre says he feels Dr Dre is surrounding himself with the wrong set of people, which is the reason why his highly anticipated album, Detox still hasn't seen the light of day. You know what? I am getting really tired of hearing about this album (detox); i have been waiting on it since my second year in college, and that was in 2004. That was 7 years ago, and this man can't still get himself together to put the album out.

Don't get me wrong, i am a Dr Dre fan, and i love his music and production, but i am also an artists, i write novels, and if i had waited for when i felt was perfect, i would never have written all the story ideas that come to me regularly. So, relating this to dre, i am sure he has a concept for the album, and how to go about it, but he must be scared of the new market or something, cos i don't know why he can't just GET IT OUT ALREADY!

During an interview with Tim Westwood, rapper Snoop Dogg gave some interesting insight on why he believes there’s been such a delay in releasing Dr. Dre’s Detox album. Snoop explained that the main problem is the type of environment Dre’s creating his music in.

“It’s a formula. Like I was trying to explain to you earlier when we made records in the past it was an environment, an atmosphere. It was always girls,” Snoop explained. “It was always parties. It was always the right atmosphere to create that kind of album that sounds like the albums that you’ve heard in the past. If there’s not that atmosphere you can’t create that kind of album. So that’s what’s happening right now. The songs don’t match the atmosphere and the atmosphere don’t match the songs.”

Snoop went on to explain that due to his perfectionist side Dr. Dre is unlikely to release anything until he feels that it’s close to perfect.

“What we’re accustomed to hearing from Dr. Dre is the brand new, next best everything and from right now people not getting that. He knows that,” said Snoop. “So he’s a perfectionist and until he gets that he’s not gonna release it cause he doesn’t want the scrutiny of people saying ‘I waited this long for that?’ It’s like when I wait this long I better get that and that.”

Snoop also shed some light on the fact that Dr. Dre may not be surrounding himself with the right people when it comes to making his album. He also shared that he feels like he and D.O.C. need to be a part of Detox in order for it to work.

“I’mma say this and I don’t know if it’s gonna ruffle any feathers. I just think the wrong people is in the environment. When he made records that were hit records in the past: D.O.C., Snoop Dogg, RBX, Kurupt,” said the rapper. “It’s like it’s pieces that’s not there that need to be there. And I’ll say D.O.C. and Snoop Dogg is the backbone. When you take those two equations and you take them out of the equation it’s not gonna work. You need to put them two back into the situation and let us mastermind and head the project like we did The Chronic in 2001. That’s what’s missing.”
