Rah Digga Speaks on the Negative Effect of Jussie Smollet's Actions on the Black Community in America

Legendary rappers, Rah Digga, and Lord Jamar (who have a YouTube channel together) were on VLAD TV for an interview a few days ago, and they got asked about their opinions on Jussie Smollett faking his attack. Rah Digga said she was riding for the Empire actor in the beginning, but was shocked to find out he had planned the whole attack.

In case you didn't know, Jussie Smollett is an openly gay actor/singer on the TV show, Empire. A few weeks ago, there were reports online that he had been attacked by white men wearing MAGA (Make America Great Again) hats raining homophobic and racists words at him. After thorough police investigation, it was discovered that Jussie Smollett had hired two of his friends to fake-attack him because his role on Empire was about to be written off, and he thought that fake incidence would help keep him on the show.

RZA Speaks on Jay Z and Solange Elevator Altercation

It's funny that people are just now speaking on this issue. In case you don know about it...No, it is impossible not to know about it. But, just in case you don't know about it, a couple of weeks ago, a video hit the Internet, and in it, Solange attacked Jay Z in an elevator, that also had Beyonce, and her bodyguard in it. If not for that Bodyguard restraining her, and Jay's calmness, things would have gotten uglier than they did. Anyway, Wu leader, RZA spoke on this during his recent interview on Vlad TV. 








"It's always somebody in the family that just make your day go different, man. It's probably one of those days for him. But blessings to their family. To me they're one of the most beautiful families we have in America. Especially in Hip Hop. It's a very unique family, him and Beyoncé. And they really represent so much black love for us. But look, we got crazy cousins, crazy sisters, crazy aunts and uncles in our families, man. That happens. And I ain't saying Solange cause I know her personally. She's a real good artist herself, but that's family. So, they'll figure that out." 

Arsenio Hall Says Hip Hop Shouldn't Be About Color of a Rapper's Skin

While some people believe Hip Hop should remain a black thing, talk show host, Arsenio Hall says Hip Hop should be about race. He feels it should only be about whether or not you can do the job...whether you can rap or not. I feel the same, but there are a lot of people out there, like Lord Jamar (member of the rap group, Black Nubian), who feels differently. Jamar feels white people are guests in Hip Hop, and that they should always remember that, and not feel too comfortable. I think that is backward thinking...that is reverse discrimination. Blacks in America have always wanted equality, but if you want to get that fully, you have to be able to embrace the dominant race, and not discriminate against them when they want to do what you do.

I don’t think being a poet—I don’t think color is important. And I hope that in a reverse sense Eminem has kinda just crushed all the bull. Because if you can do this you can do this...



...I think where we are now is good because aren’t we really about good music. Is there anyone who would say ‘That’s a white girl and I’m not fuckin with it. Or that’s a white boy. I don’t want—.” I hope we’re way past that. Plus, you’d be dealing with reverse discrimination. And there’s nobody more forgiving than black people in America. Cassidy Speaks on Why He Is No Longer Interested in Battle Rap

Back in the day, Cassidy was popular in the battle rap scene. He even battled Freeway in the early 2000s, and murked him. But, this is 2014, and Cass says he is no longer interested in that spot. He feels doing anything that would jeopardize the money he is making with his mainstream music career doesn't make sense for his future. Read his words on this below. 





During his recent sit-down with VladTV, he was asked if he would ever consider the battle rap circuit again, and he said...



“That shit is a business. Now back in the day, before it was a business, before I was making money, that’s what I was doing all the time ‘cause that’s where I was at in the game. But now everything I do I get paid for. I’m not gonna go battle some nigga and fuck with this permanent money that I’m gonna be able to get forever to just please a couple niggas. That shit gon’ have to make perfect sense. The nigga I battle gotta be a perfect nigga so after I do it—I know the outcome, what it’s gonna be. He gon’ get destroyed. But after I destroy him, I’ll be able to bring shit to the table for Mayhem Music, my family, my team and not just no 30 [or] 40 grand. That shit ain’t about nothing. That shit ain’t about nothing.”
