Peter Rosenberg Asks Offset If He Ever Believed He Would Become the Biggest Migos Member

The Migos is arguable the biggest rap group in Hip hop right now. They are made up of three rappers, Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset. The three of them are related- Quavo is Takeoff's uncle, and Quavo and Offset are cousins. The family bound has helped them stay together as a group for almost ten years. At the beginning of their career (2013-2015), when Offset was going in and out of jail, Quavo carried the torch for the group. But since Bad and Boujee dropped in 2016, with a monster verse and hook from Offset, Offset has been the biggest member of the group. In his recent interview from last week on Hot 97 radio, Offset was asked if he ever thought he would become the biggest in the group and he said...

"Yea, because, all of us is special. You know what I mean. And when you support somebody else doing their thing you gonna do your thing. It is a rotation. And then, no matter who bringing the thing back, it is making the group a monster. So, one man can carry the band, it's okay. And the next man take his role, you carry it. Now it's on you. It's like...it's good that I can pass the torch...we do solos... after this though, back to the basics. We got a foundation, we ain't gonna never break that. And...I like being the biggest group cos there is no groups...it's a different vibe bro. It's a different connection with the fans."

DJ Khaled Says Girls Should Calm Down on the Instagram Filtering

I just laughed my ass off right now. lol! I am watching this DJ Khaled interview on Ebro in the Morning show, and he was talking about the end of the 'I'll Hold You Down' video where he was talking to a girl, and he speaks on the process they had to go through to get the girl. He said they invited girls over based on their pictures on Instagram, and he was shocked when he saw them in person and they were not as pretty as they had appeared on their Instagram pages.

Game's 'The Documentary 2' Is Going to Be a Double Disc Album

Game is going to be dropping his 6th studio album, The Documentary 2 on October 9th, and he was just on Ebro in The Morning show on Hot 97, answering different interview questions. The interview was over, when Game said...

'I Disappointed Nas'- J.Cole

J.Cole made headlines a couple of days ago when he moved the release date of his Born Sinner album a week forward, to compete with Kanye's Yeezus album. Both albums are now set to drop on the same day, June 18. The latest news surrounding the album is a song titled- 'I Disappointed Nas' which is supposedly going to be on the album. Peter Rosenberg, on Hot 97 radio this morning spoke on this.









"I heard some incredible things about this J.Cole album. You might have heard that J.Cole decided to move his album up to June 18...the same day now as Kanye's album and Mac Miller's album. Supposedly, there is a song on the J.Cole album called something along the lines of 'I disappointed Nas.' About how Nas supposedly reached out to J.Cole after he heard 'Work Out', and was like "Nah fam! I expected more from you than this." And supposedly, J.Cole get's really personal, and has a whole song on how it felt to have disappointed, obviously one of his heroes in music, Nas. The second I heard this, it got me incredibly amped to hear the song. And I think that's one of the things I've really wanted to hear from J.Cole...more of him and his stories. I'm excited to hear that. His album comes out June 18, and I've been hearing nothing but good things. So let's see if this song ends up being on the album."




I'm super amped about this too. J.Cole has a very interesting way of telling his life story without being a bore.  I'm a big fan, and I hope the song makes the album. 

Peter Rosenberg Goes Hard on Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj

Following the Summer Jam incident, which had Lil Wayne pull Nicki Minaj out of the roaster of performing artist at the last minute because Peter Rosenberg (a DJ at Hot 97 radio station) said he thought Nicki's Starship song was wac, a lot has been said. A couple of days ago, Lil Wayne said he pulled Nicki out cos he felt she was disrespected, and he feels  females should never be disrespected. I think that is funny coming from wayne, and i guess Rosenberg feels the same way. And he made this known on air yesterday.

Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg, who insulted Minaj by referring to her single "Starships"  as "bullshit," quickly responded to Wayne's explanation - and he remains unconvinced. 


“Lil Wayne thinks that I don’t show respect for women,” said Rosenberg on the radio. “Wayne is right about something—Women are mothers, are sisters, are daughters. But I have a question. Is me giving my opinion that one song is wack, is that showing a lack of respect for women?”


Rosenberg went on to play a slew of misogynistic lyrics from Wayne, including "6 Foot, 7 Foot," where Wayne opines, "hoes gon' be hoes."


The Hot 97 personality also questioned Nicki Minaj's dedication to respect for women, playing a clip of the song "Stupid Hoe." 


"Weezy F. - the 'F' doesn't stand for feminist, alright," said Rosenberg.


Peter Rosenberg then suggested that Young Money come and speak to Hot 97 in person. "Instead of talking to everyone else about Hot 97, how about...Young Money just come on down and come see us and talk to us?"
