Irv Gotti Says College Promotes You To Be a Worker Bee

In a recent interview on New York radio, Power 105.1FM, music mogul, Irv Gotti said college promotes you to be a worker bee. In essence, he is saying that going to college makes you have the mentality of a worker and not that of a boss.



This was part of the discussion during his sit down with The Breakfast Club crew (DJ Envy, and Angela Yee). Ja Rule was also there, and as DJ Envy and Irv Gotti downplayed the importance of college in life, Ja Rule felt it was very important for young people to go to college, graduate and then pursue whatever dreams they had.



Below is what Irv Gotti had to say about college...

"I'm going to say something that again may ruffle some feathers. But college usually promotes you to be a worker bee. Cos what do you say to someone after they finish their four years of college? Get a job. So it promotes you to go to college and be a worker."







I get his point though, but right after he said this, Ja Rule chipped in and said, "For kids without passion." I am riding with Ja Rule on this one. I went to college, but my passion to be a writer/entrepreneur was too big to be crushed by the 'worker bee' mentality people get instilled in them in college. So, I guess Ja Rule and Irv Gotti are both right to some degree on their beliefs.

I guess they were celebrating The Breakfast Club show's 5th anniversary. That's lovely. I didn't know the radio show had been on for that long. I discovered the show in 2013, and I have been hooked ever since.

Sinbad Speaks About Twitter Haters

Veteran comedian, Sinbad was on the Breakfast Club Show recently and he was asked by Angela Yee what he felt about social media and the online community and he said...



"I don't care about social media and what you think about me. That's the most coward...that's like a gangster behind a keyboard. How are you going to sit there and dog me at your keyboard, well come to my show and tell me that...How are you gonna talk...I don't even know your name...JimmyJimmy067? You got a stupid avatar of a tiger? I ain't worried about you. Matter of fact, I don't know your name, you know mine. You follow me, I ain't follow you. And you tell me you don't like my comedy? Uncle Luke Almost Got Angela Yee To Do Porn

For those that don't know who Uncle Luke is, he was a founder and member of the very controversial Hip Hop group from back in the 80s, 2 Live Crew. They used to be very raw with their raps and performances; bringing girls on stage and performing all sorts of sexual acts on them...LIVE. I remember watching one of their performances when I was about 9...That image never left my head. Anyway, in a recent interview with the guys (DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God) at Hot 97's The Breakfast Club show interview, he was talking about whether or not his wife ever has insecurity issues of whether he still does like he used to do, messing with multiple girls. He said his wife suspected him once, and that the girl she suspected he was sleeping with happened to be Angela Yee. And then Angela Yee went on to say Uncle Luke almost got her to do porn at one point.

Although I don't live in America, one of my favorite radio stations is Power 105.1 FM. I guess I love the station solely for the The Breakfast Club Show, which is hosted by DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Angela Yee. I have always watched interviews where the interviewer spends the whole time kissing the guests ass, but with them, they are so real and raw. I just love the trio. Anyway, in a recent interview, Angela Yee spoke on being surprised that Kanye West would accept their invitation when Charlamagne is always going in on him and and his fiancee, Kim Kardahsian.






“Well, I think we never thought Kanye would come on the show. You have to commend Kanye for coming on because Charlamagne gets on him all the time—and not just him, but Kim Kardashian, also. So I was like, ‘Oh, he’s never coming up here.’ You know Kanye don’t need to come on our show. So when Kanye came, we were all like, ‘Kanye’s not coming.’ Even that morning, we were like, ‘I don’t believe he’s going to come. He’s gonna cancel at the last minute.’ But he really did come, so, I have to say he knew everything that was being said about him—that Charlamagne in particular was saying—and he came up there just to kind of confront him. I think that was a great thing that he did. He came to our home, to Charlamagne’s house where Charlamagne had the platform and he stood his ground. He didn’t go crazy. He went crazy after—but not on that actual show."
