Irv Gotti Clarifies Violent Club Incidence with Ja Rule

A few days ago, a short video started circulating on the web of Irv Gotti and Ja Rule at some bouncers outside a club in New York. Of course, their archenemy, 50 Cent jumped on that real quick and joked about it, saying Irv and Ja Rule couldn't get into the club. In his recent interview on Boom 103.9 radio, Irv Gotti took out time to clarify things.

"First off, please don't believe the devil. The devil is a liar. Like, they put out these things and I sit back like how's people believing this. You know what I'm saying. Like I can't get in the club. I've been getting in clubs easily since like the 90s...We was shooting a reality TV series called Growing Up Hip Hop. That's what it was...It wasn't a scene, it was a scene gone wrong. And I was mad at the scene. I told the producers of Growing Up Hip Hop, under no circumstances do I want to be involved in any beef or drama with my kids, or with the show. If y'all want that, we're the wrong people. Don't do it. My kids is like the best kids, the nicest kids, they're not beefing with nobody. So I'm not signing up to do a show where now they beefing and they got to be in turmoil. 

Irv Gotti Indirectly Calls 50 Cent a Snitch

Back in the early to mid 2000s, 50 Cent was at war with Ja Rule, and Irv Gotti (Murder Inc Founder). The beef was just as hot on wax as it was on the streets. At a point during the beef, Irv Gotti, his brother, and a host of Murder Inc people attacked 50 Cent at a studio in New York. 50 ended up with a few knife wounds. That was when it was alleged that 50 Cent got an order of protection from the police against Irv Gotti (Irving Lorenzo) and his brother, Chris Lorenzo. Although 50 Cent has denied this multiple times, his baby mama at the time of the incidence (Shaniqua Tompkins) has said in interviews that she followed 50 down to the station to get the order of protection.

In a recent interview on Vlad TV, Irv Gotti indirectly calls 50 Cent a snitch while talking about the whole beef. He said after 50 Cent was shot multiple times, he started talking to the police. Read his words on this below.

Irv Gotti Speaks on How Jay Z Helped Him With Tales

Music mogul/TV show director, Irv Gotti has taken a backseat to music producing for a while now, and is more focused on TV series making. His current baby is a show airing on BET titled Tales. In a recent interview on VLAD TV, Gotti spoke on how it was hard to get funding for his projects because of his past issues with the FEDS. He spoke on how Jay Z was instrumentally in him getting the full budget for the first season of his TV series, Tales, which has 8 episodes.

Irv Gotti Says Artificial Intelligence Is Going to Create More Homelessness in America

Yup! That's what music mogul, Irv Gotti said in his and Ja Rule's recent interview on The Breakfast Club show. He believes Artificial Intelligence is going to make a lot of people lose their jobs to robots, and cause a rise in homelessness in America in the next couple of years. He was trying to stress the importance of people not having the mindset of being workers, but that of entrepreneurs when he brought this up. He believes when there are more entrepreneurs, it will lessen the impact of the damage AI is going to have on working class in America.

"Artificial intelligence is coming. Right. So the working force...the worker bee...they're replacing you with a robot. Which is going to make more homelessness in America than we could possibly imagine. Ask anybody right. Say, how many months...like we all good right, but the normal person, you could ask him, say, how many months, if you lose your job could you survive...So when that robot comes in, and that company switches over to some AI (Artificial Intelligence), people are going to be homeless. Listen, this world is turning...is eliminating the middle class. It's gonna be rich, and poor."

Ja Rule Says Every Black Person Needs Education

During the recent Ja Rule and Irv Gotti interview on Power 105.1 FM radio, they got talking about school and if it is necessary for success in life. While one of the hosts of the show (DJ Envy) and Irv Gotti both agreed that college wasn't important if you want to be successful in life, Ja Rule disagreed with this notion. His belief is that every black man needs to be educated to grow in life.

"I disagree with you guys sitting here, being successful black men, telling people who don't have this same opportunities, or may not ever have the opportunities that we had that school is not for them. They need school. Every black young man and woman needs f&cking education. You can not get ahead in life if you are not educated. Period. Unless you can box and f&ck n*ggas up like Floyd Mayweather. Other than that, school is education, it's for everybody."

Irv Gotti Says College Promotes You To Be a Worker Bee

In a recent interview on New York radio, Power 105.1FM, music mogul, Irv Gotti said college promotes you to be a worker bee. In essence, he is saying that going to college makes you have the mentality of a worker and not that of a boss.



This was part of the discussion during his sit down with The Breakfast Club crew (DJ Envy, and Angela Yee). Ja Rule was also there, and as DJ Envy and Irv Gotti downplayed the importance of college in life, Ja Rule felt it was very important for young people to go to college, graduate and then pursue whatever dreams they had.



Below is what Irv Gotti had to say about college...

"I'm going to say something that again may ruffle some feathers. But college usually promotes you to be a worker bee. Cos what do you say to someone after they finish their four years of college? Get a job. So it promotes you to go to college and be a worker."







I get his point though, but right after he said this, Ja Rule chipped in and said, "For kids without passion." I am riding with Ja Rule on this one. I went to college, but my passion to be a writer/entrepreneur was too big to be crushed by the 'worker bee' mentality people get instilled in them in college. So, I guess Ja Rule and Irv Gotti are both right to some degree on their beliefs.

Jarule Explains The Challenges Children Of Successful People Face

People generally believe that children of rich and successful people have no challenges, but Jarule thinks otherwise. His children, and the children of his long time friend and business associate, Irv Gotti are currently on a show called Growing Up Hip Hop. During Irv and Jarule's recent interview on The Breakfast Club show, one of the hosts of the show (DJ Envy) asked what the show would be about since their kids didn't have any struggles growing up. And Ja Rule shot back with...

"Here's the thing. Here's the thing. And I'ma just say this...They have their own struggles and their own sh*t to fight with. One is living up to the expectations of their parents. That's a big thing for them. Like just think Envy, your kids, people probably think whatever they do, or if they want to get into DJ'ing or anything like that, they would probably think they are naturally going to be good at it. You know what I'm saying. It's like the Michael Jordan syndrome for your kids. It's like people just naturally think the kids are supposed to be good at whatever the f*ck you did that you were great at. And that's just not the case. So they get that pressure on them too to be good or as good, or better than their parents. And that's a lot of pressure."

"The Truth in the Matter is 50 (Cent) Did Get His Ass Whipped and Harmed By Us"- Irv Gotti

Unless you are new to Hip Hop, you would know that 50 Cent had a bloody beef with Ja Rule and Irv Gotti back in the early 2000s. It is also public knowledge that after 50 Cent got into a fight with Ja Rule, Rule and his boys went in search of 50 Cent, found him at the Hit Factory Studio, and gave him a good beating. Which later prompted Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) to get a restraining order against Irv Gotti, Irv's brother, and Dark Child (a Murder Inc artist who had stabbed 50 multiple times). In a new twist of events, Irv Gotti got drawn into the ongoing Meek Mill and 50 Cent Beef. 50 Cent said some disrespectful things about him, so he brought up the past. See what he had to say about his past feud with 50 Cent below.

50 Cent and Ja Rule Beef Rekindle

50 Cent came in the game dissing Ja Rule and the whole Murda Inc in 2003. An altercation between 50 Cent's crew and Murda Inc in 2001 had resulted in 50 Cent getting stabbed multiple times by Black Child (Murda Inc member), and he made sure he went hard at them when he finally rose to fame. But, everyone believed the whole beef was over, till 50 dissed Ja Rule and Irv Gotti at Summer Jam. You don't see Nas performing Ether at his shows, or Jay Z performing Takeover, but 50 Cent went ahead and performed I Smell Pussy at Summer Jam yesterday. Below are some lines from the song...

Black (Child) is the dude that stabbed 50 Cent, and (Cadillac) Tah was signed to Murda Inc back in the day. So, what is 50 trying to do again? Oh, I almost forgot, he has an album dropping tomorrow. When will Curtis Jackson give up on his theory that he always has to have some sort of controversy surrounding him anytime he is about to drop a new album? 

All this is funny cos Ja Rule was saying he didn't have any ill will towards 50 Cent no more earlier this year, and then Curtis turns around and does this. Ja Rule has taken to Twitter to respond to all this.

Ja Rule Speaks On How 50 Cent Crushed Murder Inc

Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, when the Hip Hop scene was still dominated by east coast rappers, Murder Inc was one of the biggest labels out. The label had Ja Rule, and Ashanti, and their duets from back then were infectious and always turned to instant hits. Ja had back to back multi platinum selling albums from 99 to 2002. Irv Gotti (Murder Inc C.E.O) was even looking at signing Nas back in 2002. That was before 50 Cent came on the scene and aimed his lyrical oozy at Murder Inc...he kept firing till they were dust.


But it really wasn't just the music that 50 Cent used to destroy the Inc, he also...okay, let me let Ja Rule speak...



"It was a lot going on in that time frame. You got the federal indictment -- he was a part of the juggernauts at that moments. Eminem. Dre. They were very, very big in what they do and what we're doing as well so as we were big on our side, they were big on their side. As everything started to crumble for us, as far as we didn't have a label as a home anymore -- there was a lot of things falling apart for us. It was easy for him to get people to turn on [us]. And there were things behind the scenes that y'all don't see that made it seem more irrelevant. Like, we couldn't go to awards shows. They'd make calls. 'Well, if Murder Inc. is in the building, they're not going to perform this year. Em's not going to perform.' So we would get calls from MTV, BET like 'Yo, we love you guys, but guys, they're doing their thing this year and we don't want y'all in the building.' So now, as the fans, they're looking like, 'Yo, this dude is really crushing them. They don't even show up at the awards anymore.'" ("The Angie Martinez Show")



A quick recap- 50 Cent and Ja Rule beef started a long time before 50 blew up. It happened that Ja was in south side Jamaica Queens (50 cent's hood) to shoot a video and 50 claimed he didn't greet him properly or maybe he snubbed him or something, so he went and made a diss song going at Ja and Murder Inc. There is another story that the whole beef started when one of 50 cent's homies stole Ja's chain. Which ever way, and in which ever order, it escalated to the point where Irv Gotti and the crew went to the studio where 50 was recording music, and beat him up...50 Cent ended up being treated for multiple stab wounds, which Black Child (murder inc artist) claimed responsibility for.

This was around 2000, and 50 was a nobody at the time. So, when he made it big with Dre and Eminem, he went all out for revenge.

Irv Gotti Says He Regrets Taking Sides With Nas During His War With Jay-Z

Back in the 90s, Irv was Jay-Z's man, and jay even gave him a shout-out on Anything, a track off his Life And Times of Shawn Carter Vol. 3 album, where he said- But look at us now man, we're young execs My nigga Dame, my nigga Biggs, my nigga Tah My nigga Ja, my nigga Gotti...That was in 1999, and two years later, in 2001, when the Nas and Jay-Z war was on, it was just funny that Irv Gotti took Nas's side. Jarule and Asanti (who were signed irv's murder inc at the time) made a song with Nas titled The Pledge; sort of like pledging their Allegiance to him, or him to them, whichever way, i am sure it hurt Jay at the time, because that was the height of the beef with him and Nas, and Irv Gotti was meant to be his man, but Irv went as far as trying to sign Nas to Murder Inc at the time.

“I shouldn’t have did that with Nas. It was a mistake. Because above and beyond the music, Hov is my man. In front of MTV, I would shed blood for Hov. If I see Hov, I will get right in the mix of things,” he continued. “I should have never done that. But he knew it. He’s one of the smartest dudes, and he knew it. He said, that ambition. I said, yeah. If it means me going in them history books, I don’t care. I’m weird like that. That’s how bad I want it.”

From what Irv said above, it is clear he is trying to say his thing with Nas was strictly business. It's all good, but he should be his own man, and believe in himself. He need not say things like- I would shed blood for jay...i think, he is saying that because of the power jay has right now, and is thinking jay would have been able to put in work for him if he hadn't taken sides with nas in the past. That time has passed, and what we have is now, so he should forget that, and and consequences, and be a man of himself right now.
