First Week Sales Prediction of "Shady XV" Album

As a 15 years celebration of his label, Shady Records, Eminem is dropping a Shady Records compilation album which will include classic songs from artists signed to the label, and those that were on the label in the past. The album is going to be a double disc album; one disc will contain old songs from Shady Records artists over the years, and the other disc will contain some new songs. I predict that the album would sell between 350-450k first week.

The album drops next week Monday, November 24th, the same day Rick Ross's Hood Billionaire album is also set to hit stores.

Tracklist of Azealia Banks "Broke With Expensive Taste"

The trouble maker, the ever controversial Azealia Banks is finally going to drop her long overdue debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste. Check out the album tracklist below.

50 Cent Announces 'Street King Immortal' Release Date

50 Cent just dropped his fifth album, Animal Ambition last week Tuesday, and he is already working on dropping his sixth (Street King Immortal) later this year. The truth of the matter is that he already had Street King Immortal on deck last year, but couldn't get Interscope Records to cooperate with him on the actual promotion of the album. So, after he left Interscope, and became an Independent artist, he started promoting Animal Ambition (which first started out as a mixtape). Now that he has dropped Animal Ambition, and used the project to test the market, he is ready to drop his Street King Immortal album.

Below is what he had to say about the album's release date during his recent interview with The Daily Buzz

"The next project, Street King Immortal, was already written before I wrote [Animal Ambition: An Untamed Desire To Win]. That’s how I know to write it like this. Street King Immortal will actually be out in September. I have a real strict schedule. I’m going to be moving around a lot. It’s going to be a lot of work."

Although he didn't give an actual date, he said Street King Immortal would be dropping in September, and since he is now his own boss, there definitely will be no pushbacks.

First Week Sales Prediction of Mariah Carey's 'Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse'

Mariah Carey's new album, Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse drops tomorrow, and I want to attempt to predict what it would sell in its first week in stores. Mariah Carey has never been one to have big first week sales, but she always stays consistent with her sales afterwards. In 2005, her The Emancipation Of Mimi album sold 404,000 first week, and 50 Cent's The Massacre dropped around the same time, and sold 1.1 million first week...that is almost three times what Mariah sold first week, but she still went on to sell more than him by the end of the year. I predict this actual album would sell between 80-100k copies first week.

New Music: Nothing (Mase feat. Eric Bellinger)

Yup! Mase got a new song, and it is titled Nothing. The song is the latest single from his upcoming album, Now We Even. I particularly like this song, cos it shows Mase is slowly going back to the old Mase. When I say the old Mase, I don't necessarily mean a dope Mase or a 90s Mase or whatever; I just mean, he is going back to being himself, and not Pastor Mase. He talks about regular everyday stuff like Sex on this song, so you know this ain't no preacher preaching. It will take time, and a couple more songs like this for him to just be himself again, and not be put in a box about what he can or can't rap about. By the way, the song features Eric Bellinger, and dude sure can SING!

Check out the song below.

First Week Sales Prediction of 50 Cent's "Animal Ambition" Album

I know the album doesn't drop till next month, but I want to predict what it would sell in its first week out. 50 Cent is no longer as hot as he once was, but he still has a loyal fanbase. I predict that his Animal Ambition album would sell between 60-80k copies first week. The album officially drops on June 3rd.

Nas Gives Update on 11th Studio Album

Nas has been promoting the r-release of his debut album (Illmatic) for the last couple of months, but I guess he is ready to go in the studio and work on that 11th album now. Although the project doesn't have a title yet, he says he has been working with producers like Timbaland, No.ID, and Swizz Beatz.

Below are his words concerning the album, during a recent interview with NPR.

“I stepped back from it. Tim's like, 'What are you doing?' and I'm like, 'I just need a minute to like — I just need a minute to take it all in, just live a little and enjoy day-by-day stuff and daily stuff I'm doing.' It's just — I didn't want to go back in the studio that quick. I felt like I needed to be inspired. I wasn't really, really, really inspired, to tell you the truth, until we started to, kind of, embark on this twentieth anniversary. It wasn't 'til then that I really started to feel it. Cause I got a chance — and I gotta give credit to the documentary guys (speaking on Time Is Illmatic Documentary). Them showing me the footage and stuff really like — it really lets you know where you come from and everything, and where you at now. I salute them dudes, man — One9, Erik Parker, the whole crew over there that's put that film together — because that's helped me find the inspiration. I found it."

He went on to speak on the level he is at with recording the new album.

"Now I'm at a place where — I laid down ideas, so the ideas I lay down then, now, I'm kind of like going through 'em and I'm fixing ‘ m. Now I'm at a place where I could play a song for somebody and they really get it and they really understand — they really feel it. At first I didn't, so I'm happy to say I'm at a place where it feels right. I talked to Swizz, and we went through joints. And No I.D. and Timbaland, you know. This the only interview I'ma talk about it. Cause I know once this comes out, people might ask me about the record and, man, I just want to finish it and get it done."

New Video: Hustler (50 Cent)

50 Cent releases yet another new song/video from his upcoming album, Animal Ambition. This Hustler video is in black and white, and it shows a mafioso side of 50. He promised to release a new song/video from the actual Animal Ambition album every week, till the album drops on June 3rd. This is the 7th video so far.

Rick Ross' Mastermind First Week Sales Projections

According to first day sales of Rick Ross's Mastermind album, experts at HitsDoubleDaily have projected that it would sell between 145-160k first week. Two weeks ago, I predicted that it would sell between 140-170k first week; so, I wasn't far from the truth. By next week Wednesday, we will know the exact numbers. Although this isn't going to be as high as his last album did first week, it will earn Ross another number One album. His major competition was/is Pharrell, and G  I  R  L has been projected to sell between 85-95k first week.
