So, it’s just us trying out with the larger brands. Branching off...It’s all strategy but at the same time, was Death Row an independent label? Are we calling it the right thing really? As much as it is friendly competition—I do want to be the best rapper in the world, too—it’s in the same way I want Kendrick to be the best, I want to see Q be the best. It’s a real interesting feeling but I think that’s what kind of keeps us all in line.”
Ab-Soul is dropping his third album, These Days...next week Tuesday (June 24th). A lot of tracks off the albums have been leaking, and the latest is World Runners, which features Lupe Fiasco and Nikki Jeans. Give it a listen below.

TDE rapper, Ab-Soul is one of the new breed of rappers on the hip hop scene right now. His album These Days...is scheduled to drop on June 24th, so he has been up and about promoting it. During his recent interview for Life+Times, he spoke on who his musical influences were. 
"I came up on Canibus. He was like one of my first favorite rappers. Then you add Jay Z and Nas. I learned a lot from Hip Hop, so it’s only right that I try to give that back.”
