This post is about how many platinum selling albums Kanye West has. To does that don't know what selling platinum means, it means an album selling over a million copies.

Since he released his first album in 2004, Kanye West has so far had 7 platinum selling albums.

Below is a list of all his platinum selling albums.

Jay Electronica Says He Loved Kanye West's Yeezus Album

During a recent question-and-answer session on kanyetothe.com, Jay Electronica was asked about his opinion on Kanye West's last album, Yeezus, and he said he loved it. This surprised a lot of the forum members, as a lot of people generally believe that the album sucked. But Electronica took time to explain why people acted so negative towards the album.

Below are his words concerning what he feels about Yeezus.

"i loved it, but the media crucified him and slandered him because of the content and his outspokenness on many things. Then the sheeple started saying it was wack like a mantra after a few so-called tastemakers said it. the end,"

Dude took the words out my mouth...I loved that album from beginning to the end, from the lyrics to the production. People are so shallow and close minded; they always want everything to be the same as it has always been, and want some authority to tell them when to accept something different. It really does piss me off when people call a piece of ART like Yeezus wack...ARE YOU CRAZY!!!

Kanye West's Yeezus 6th Week Global Album Sales

Kanye's Yeezus album sold 28,000 global copies this week, and is now at a 6 week total of 719,000 sold worldwide. This shouldn't be confused with national sales; in America, Yeezus sold 12,000 copies this week, to put it at a total of 487,000 copies in 6 weeks. This might be the first Kanye West album that doesn't go platinum, but we can't say for now. I am just looking at the declining sales. I know it would sell more than a million copies internationally, but I don't know about in the states.

Check out the album tracklist below-

U-God Says Kanye West Needs to Come Back to Earth

A lot of rappers, including 50 Cent have had mixed feelings about Kanye West's latest album, Yeezus. People think he went too far with the creativity. In a recent interview, Wu-Tang Clan member, U-God spoke his mind concerning the album.

"Tell him (Kanye) there's no sound in space. He's got to come back on planet Earth. Space is a vacuum. There's no sound in space. Earth is where it's at. Come back down baby, come back."

Hmm! What can I say. I like the album, except for one or two songs that sounded like leftovers from his "808s & Heartbreaks" album, I think the album is cool. I mean, it is not a regular rap album, but it is cool with the sonic sound Kanye worked with. At least he was rapping on the album, and not singing. It's just that the production and beats are on another level. I guess that's why U-God felt he had to come back to planet earth. But, personally, I love change, so I am saying YES to Yeezus.

Kanye West's Yeezus Fourth Week Global Album Sales

Kanye West sold 59,000 copies of Yeezus this week globally, and the total sales of the album now stands at 657,000 copies sold globally. This shouldn't be confused with national sales. Yeezus sold 29,000 copies in the states this week, and is still at a total of 459,000 copies sold nationally.

Kanye West' Yeezus Third Week Global Sales

Kanye West is one of the biggest selling rappers in the international market; second only to Eminem. With this fact, it is only right I put up album's global sales. Yeezus sold 71,000 copies worldwide this week, putting Kanye's 6th album at a global total of 598,000 copies sold. That's not bad.

Please note that these numbers shouldn't be confused with Kanye's album's national sales; Yeezus has sold

Second Week Global Sales Of Kanye West's 'Yeezus' Album

Wale's The Gifted album is number one on the global album chart this week, with 161,000 copies sold first week; a spot Kanye West held last week, with 414,000 copies sold first week of his Yeezus album. This week, Yeezus sold 113,000 copies globally, and is now at a 2 week total of 527,000 copies worldwide. This means Kanye attained Gold status with Yeezus in 2 weeks.

These numbers should not be confused with national sales. Yeezus sold 64,000 copies in America this week, and is at a two week total of 391,000 copies in the states. Kanye always sell more than most rappers internationally. I think the only rapper that sells more than Kanye West internationally is Eminem.

50 Cent Criticises Kanye's 'Yeezus' Album

Kanye West just dropped his 6th album, and 50 Cent is one of the many individuals that are not really feeling it. I had an idea of what to expect upfront, so, personally, I am not really disappointed with the album. Check out 50s critique of the album below...this was from a recent on Shade 45.

"Some of the joints on the new joint that Yeezy made, I wasn't into all that." One time, the beat didn't come on. [The screaming on there], it was creative. He came out of nowhere with that. If you see something that looks like it's foreign -- we'll see if people can adjust to it and really enjoy it or if it's too different. There's a point where creative is well past your mark. You did something that's so far out that your audience can't hear it. Be careful what you say because it might work."

Hmm! That's actually very true. 50 Cent always speaks his mind regardless of how it will make the person he is speaking about feel. I also give props to Kanye for always taking chances. I didn't like his "808s & Heartbreak" album when it dropped back in 2008, but when I went back to listen to it a couple of months ago, I kinda was really into it. As I said, I expected Yeezus to be very different, so I wasn't disappointed. There are some songs on there like Send It Up and Bound 2 that i really like for the production.

Kanye West's Yeezus Album Debuts at Number 1 in the U.K

Kanye's 6th album, Yeezus dropped in the states on June 18 (last week Tuesday), but albums drop earlier in other parts of the world, so the first week sales of Yeezus in U.K is out. Yeezus sits at the number one spot on album chart in the U.K this week, with 25,000 copies sold.  Considering the fact that 300,000 copies is considered platinum in the U.K, these are good numbers for first week sales. The album also sold 9,500 copies in Australia. I think this album is going to sell like 600k copies worldwide first week. .

We will know what Yeezus sold first week in the states by tomorrow night. By the way, J.Cole's Born Sinner which dropped on the same day as Kanye's Yeezus sold 12,000 copies in the U.K, and that places him at the number 7 spot on the U.K album chart this week.

First Week Sales Prediction Of Kanye West' Yeezus album

Kanye West's 6th album, Yeezus just leaked on the internet a few hours ago, and twitter is going crazy. There are mixed reviews, but one thing I have learnt from my years of being a music fan is that you can't sum up an album on first listen. I remember when I first heard Stillmatic, I didn't like it (apart from Ether ofcos), cos I wanted it to sound so much like Nastradamus. Anyway, before I get lost in my rambling, let me do what I came here to do. I want to predict what Kanye's Yeezus album would sell first week.

Kanye's second and third albums damn near sold plat on their first week out, so he is a big seller. Although he didn't do too much promotion with this album in terms of dropping a hot single and a video, it is still going to sell like a Kanye album, because that 'no promo' strategy worked like promotion on steroids. See how the whole internet has gone into a frenzy over the leak. #Kanye, #Yeezus and three tracks from the album are already trending worldwide. I would predict Yeezus would sell between 400-550k first week. No solo Kanye album has sold lower than 400k first week. 400k copies is Kanye's comfort zone; I see him selling close to 600k first week in the U.S, and about 800k copies worldwide first week.

The album drops next week Tuesday (June 18th), so you can mark your calendars, and go out to support Kanye on that day. I love the fact that it is just 10 tracks...I love it. It means there are no album fillers, just thoroughly worked on 10 tracks for a complete album. Check out Yeezus tracklist below-

1. On Site
2. Black Skinhead
3. I Am God feat. God
4. New Slaves feat. Frank Ocean
5. Hold My Liqour feat. Chief Keef & Justin Vernon
6. I’m In It
7. Blood On The Leaves
8. Guilt Trip feat. Kid Cudi
9. Send It Up feat. King L
10. Bound 2 feat. Charlie Wilson

Kanye West Nolonger Concerned About Album Sales

Kanye West's 6th album, Yeezus drops in 7 days time, June 18 to be precise, and it doesn't have a radio single. Kanye doesn't even have a song from the album that people can buy on iTunes. This really got me wondering whether this album was still going to drop next week or not. He has performed songs from the album at shows and concerts, and even did the whole worldwide premier of some of the songs on buildings across 10 countries, but he hasn't put in work to promote the album the usual way Kanye would.

He recently performed at the Governor's Ball, and he let the crowd know that he nolonger cares about selling a million-

"You know with this album, we ain’t drop no single to radio. We ain’t got no big NBA campaign or nothing like that. Shit, we ain’t even got no cover. We just made some real music. And you know, back when I used to make albums and shit, like a couple years ago, three, four years ago, we’d go away and work on an album for like five months or so, and we’d always have to hold the album ’til like August or September ’til the perfect moment and shit, ’cause it means that I think you gon’ sell more ’cause you get more audience and radio and shit. But honestly, at this point, when I listen to radio, that ain’t where I wanna be no more. Honestly, at this point, I could give a f**k about selling a million records. As long as I put out an album for the summer that y’all can rock to all motherfucking summer. And I don’t give a fuck to what the label tell me; I’m gon’ sell more records. ‘Cause at this point, I don’t really give a f**k about outside opinions."

Hmm! This could actually be another level of promotion. Cos, right now, the album hasn't leaked, and no one knows what it sounds like, apart from the 2 or 3 songs the public has heard. So this might get people really hyped about hitting the store to get the album as soon as it drops. And if it is as creatively different as all his previous albums, then 'word of mouth' will do the work.

Kanye West' Yeezus Possible Album Cover

For a couple of years now, a large amount of the public have the belief that Kanye West worships the Devil. Whether that is the truth or not, Kanye has been using this as a marketing tool since then.  He named his new album Yeezus, and had Christians attacking his blasphemous acts. As long as he is getting attention of the masses, it is all good in Kanye's world. Now, a new album cover just hit the internet, and is supposedly going to be the album cover for Yeezus. As you can see below, it portrays Kanye West nailed to the cross, like Jesus.

Well, we don't know if this going to be the album cover, but how do you think the public would react at this? Tupac pulled this off on his The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory album, but he died 2 months before it was released. Kanye's Yeezus album is set for a June 18 release date, so we will know whether this is really going to be the album cover in a couple of days.

J.Cole Gives Reason For Going Against Kanye West

Just a couple of days after Kanye West announced that his album (Yeezus) would be released on June 18th, J.Cole moved the release date of his album a week early to go face-off with Kanye. "Born Sinner" was meant to be released on the 25th of June, but you can read up on Cole's reason for making this quick decision below-

Instantly the lightbulb [turned on]... it got real. I made one phone call to somebody that would know, just to make sure first. As soon as I got it confirmed, I was like, 'Yo...' The idea hit me instantly: 'You got to go to that date. I'm not going to sit [here]... I worked too hard to come a week later after Kanye West drops an amazing album. It'd be like, 'Oh and J.Cole dropped too, a week later.' Nah. I'm going to go see him on that date. He's the greatest. So it's like, I'm a competitor by nature so it was instant, it wasn't even a thought," the Roc Nation artist continued. (Billboard)

It does make sense. I love stuff like this...it makes things interesting in the hip hop world. And by the way, the both of them are most definitely releasing two of the dopest hip hop albums of the year. I can't wait.

Kanye West's 6th Album To Be Titled 'Yeezus'

Kanye West premiered the visuals for his "New Slave" single on 66 buildings accross the world Friday night. Now, news out is that his new album is going to be titled 'Yeezus.' This is going to be his 6th album, and confirmed songs from it include New Slave, Black Skinhead, and I AM (A) God. Before you guys start shouting Blasphemy! you should know that in Psalm 82:6, Jesus said- "I said, 'You are gods'...

But ofcos, Kanye is still trying to build up some controversy around his album, and the title being Yeezus is definitely a ploy to get people talking. Yeezus sounds like Jesus. Anyway, 'Yeezus' is set for a June 18 release, which is the same date that Kim Kardashian is expected to deliver Kanye's first child. So, these are some great times for Kanye.

You can never be dissapointed with any Kanye album creatively. He is a genius, but what people don't understand is that every genius walks that thin line between sanity and insanity. So, cut Kanye some slack.
