Charlamagne Says Gangsters Will Eventually End up in Prison
There is this fascination most hip hop listeners have with gangsters, trapsters, and rappers that claim to be about that life. These listeners call the gangsters the REAL rappers, and they call the rappers like Wale and Drake (that live normal lives), fake rappers. Popular Radio personality, Charlamagne Tha God spoke on this recently. He says there are consequences for all actions, and as long as a rapper wants to be a gangster, and be about that street life, he would eventually end up behind bars.
He was actually being interviewed on VLad TV, and was asked what he felt about Gucci Mane being back in Prison till 2016, and he said...
“When you about that life, that’s what happens. You end up in jail or dead. I don’t care if you rapping. I don’t care if you trapping. I don’t care what you doing. If that’s the life you choose to lead, it’s eventually gonna catch up to you. I don’t understand why brothers can’t understand the fact, or even just accept the fact, you can still be a man without having to commit crimes. That actually is a problem. Everybody wants to be a goon, thug, hood nigga, real nigga. Just be a man. Be a real man. It’s cool. Real men know how to move as real men. Real men won’t allow themselves to be disrespected. Real men aren’t punks. But when you wanna do that goon, thug shit: pop pills, drink lean, ride around with guns, all that other shit knowing that you ain’t supposed to be moving like this—especially if you’re on probation—this is what happens. These are the consequences of your actions. Don’t feel sorry for him, at all. Hate to see brothers go to jail on any level unless they really doing some serious shit. But he caused that on himself."

Isn't this so true? I keep wondering why rap listeners are so fascinated with people that claim to be killers, and drug dealers. Why are you so thrilled about 40 year old men snatching each other's chains and posting it on social media? Does a rapper have to be a goon, or a gangster banger to be considered dope? I just don't understand. I guess I am getting old. I have listened to Hip Hop since the early 90s, and I witnessed the transition, from then to now. I don't know where people got stuck on the idea that you have to be about that street life to be respected.

Gucci Mane might be in jail, but he is still dropping music non stop. The latest from Gucci is Panoramic Roof, feat. Young Thug.

New Music: Gucci Mane- The Definition (Game Diss)
Gucci Mane is currently in Jail, but still dropping new music. His camp dropped this new one, The Definition, which is a Game diss. This is a response to when Game said he would fight Gucci Mane in the ring for a celebrity boxing match earlier this year. Around that time, Gucci Mane had some issues with drug abuse, and was talking reckless a lot, so this must have been recorded around that time. I wish Gucci Mane was out and serious with this, cos I know Game lives for stuff like this, It would have really been an interesting back and forth.Download the song here- The Definition
Gucci Mane Says He Runs The Streets From Jail
Gucci Mane is the real troubled man in Hip Hop; he is always going in out of jail. He is currently in jail, but he still running things with his record label, 1017 Records. He is serving time on a firearms charge, and could be in jail till 2016, but he has promised that the music wont stop dropping. Below is the statement he released from jail recently.
"Eh man, it's Big Gucci, what's happening? I make music, I make money, I make enemies but my fans made me the Trap God. Big Guwop. 1017. 2014. We're still running the streets. June 17, the empire's declaring war. World War 3D the series. Three albums in one day. The Green Album by the Migos. The Purple Album byYoung Thug and The White Album with PeeWee Longway. ... July 4, we're dropping Trap House 4 and September 13 I'm dropping Trap God 3. I'm locked up but still run the streets from jail." (1017 Records)

Gucci Mane has been going in and out of jail, and has been showing the symptoms of someone with a mental illness for some years now. People have said it's the drugs, some say it's effects of his dying career, but his old friend, Khia says she knows what is really wrong with Gucci Mane. For those that don't know her, Khia had a raunchy hit song titled 'My Neck, My Back' back in 2002, and her debut album, Thug Misses (released the same year) attained Gold status. In her recent interview with Billboard, she spoke on knowing Gucci Mane before he became a star, and also having an idea of what made everything go wrong for him.
"I knew Gucci before he was this huge artist. He'd come through a club I had all the time to perform. I got to know him before he changed. The industry has changed him. No one is going to get to know the beautiful side I did. He's too far gone. I think he was high when he was tweeting. He was speaking the truth. It may be the people he's around or drugs that he's on. Sometimes money or environment changes people. I think his team is not good and he doesn't have any positive reinforcement. I reached out to him a few times, but I haven't seen him since we did, 'What They Do,' [which] was 2008. When he did that he was on some type of drug. I don't know what he took to trip him out. When we did that song, I can tell something was off. Something's been off since then. If you were to ask me, as a close friend, I don't think he recovered well when he ended up having to shoot someone... and it wasn't intentional. I think he was scared for his life and someone ended up getting murdered. I don't think he's recovered from that and I don't think he ever will. It changed him."
Khia was referring to the shooting that occurred in 2005, when Young Jeezy sent some of his friends over to Gucci's house to shake-him-up while they were beefing. Being scared for his life, and having the 'kill or be killed' mentality, Gucci Mane fired his gun, and shot and killed one of Jeezy's associates- Pookie Loc. A warrant was put out for Gucci Mane's arrest afterwards, but he turned himself in. He ended up beating the case on claims of self-defense. Below were his words concerning the shooting at the time.
"I just want to let everyone know I'm not a murderer. I was upset. I was scared a little bit, but I had to do what I had to do. You gotta be a man about it. I'm not a bad person. I have remorse for everything that happened."

A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that Gucci Mane had signed
Chief Keef to his 1017 Brick Squad label. Waka Flocka left the label last
month, so Keef should be a good replacement. Of course, Chief Keef is still
signed under the parent company, Interscope Records; but Brick Squad will be
like his sub label. Just like Big Sean is signed to Def Jam, and is also under
Kanye's G.O.O.D Music label.
Read up Gucci's words on this move below-
"He a big fan of mine and I just see a lot of potential in him. I feel like all these years I've been in the rap game, there's a lot of things that I wish I could have did a different way. So I just feel like if nothing else, I just want to give him some advice so that he can just enjoy his career. Just show him that trouble is so easy to get into. It's really more of a big brother thing. There's a business arrangement of course, but I just really like him as a person. He hard. He for real. The young people take to what's real, what they perceive as authentic." (XXL Mag)
I hope Gucci
Mane will be able to keep Keef out of trouble...but the problem is, Gucci is
always getting into trouble himself. But, you have to respect Gucci's hustle...Dropping mixtapes like every 3 months, and having them sell like
albums. The south always supports their own.
Gucci Mane Calls Judge A Bitch In Court
For as long as I have known Gucci Mane, he has always been in and out of jail...In and out of trouble. From when he killed Young Jeezy's associate in self defence back in the mid 2000s, to all the petty offences he commits every now and then. He was in court a few hours ago, and when the judge asked him if he thought he was guilty, he replied...check the caption below for better effect-
Vanessa Hudgens Says Selena Gomez Loves Gucci Mane
Although Spring Breakers didn't do huge numbers at the Box Office this week (which is its first week out in the U.S), it is still being talked about amongst the general public, and the younger generation. It had Disney favourites, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens in it. But, another surprise is how they managed to squeeze in rapper Gucci Mane into a movie with this adorable barbie dolls. Well, I think what is even more shocking is that it appears Miss Gomez has something for Gucci.
During a recent interview of Vanessa Hudgens a few days after Spring Breakers premièred in the U.S, she was asked who on set of the movie had similar music tastes with her, and she said...
"I'd say Selena Gomez because like me, she's down with Hip Hop and older hippie music."
And when she was asked what kind of Hip Hop she and Selena would listen to she said-
"Gucci Mane. Selena loves Gucci. He is like her favourite artists"
Hmm! I can't even imagine Selena Gomez rapping along to a Gucci Mane song. Hmm! And, this is sounding really funny, cos last weekend, long time friends and business associates, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka parted ways, and not on a positive note; rumour had it that it was over Selena Gomez. I'm thinking like, what!!? Selena Gomez is like 20...Gucci Mane is a grown man of 33. Okay, maybe the age difference really isn't a big deal, but I just don't see them together...like they come from different worlds.
T.I Says He Is Open To Work With Gucci Mane
Gucci Mane has taken some swipes at T.I in a couple of disses he made for Young Jeezy recently, but that doesn't stop T.I from showing love his way. TIP said he is open to work with Gucci. He was asked of a possible collaboration between him, Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane...Read his words below-
“Man, I would’ve loved to see that too man,” T.I. explained when asked about a possible collab between the Atlanta trio. “I was really working on trying to resolve all beefs in the town. I was working on trying to get everybody to sit down at the same table. Whether you like each other or not at least have a respect, a mutual respect for one another to where ya’ll can be in the same buildings and we can work on the same records…And right now it’s like everybody wanna be the man. That’s what it is, that’s really what it is in the town. Everybody wanna be the man and if they ain’t the man then they looking at who is the man and trying to figure out how to take his spot. And that is what killed the scene in New York.”
What he said about New York is very true...and Jay-Z really started the demise of New York hip hop...going at Nas, and Mobb Deep. And then 50 Cent came after, and shattered the remaining pillars that were standing. I think the same is happening to ATL and the whole south right now. I guess it's just a human thing.
Read more words from T.I concerning togetherness in the "A"-
When I came home that was my purpose. That was my intention,” said T.I. when asked about bringing the city of Atlanta together. “I spoke to Jeezy. I spoke to Rocko. I spoke to Chainz. I spoke to so many of the existing who’s who of Atlanta music. I spoke to em about us all having a sit-down at the same table and forming a committee.
Those conversations they started out pleasant and productive. Eventually I just started seeing that cats – everybody ain’t for the team mentality. Some cats they tryna get theirs and go home. You can’t make somebody something that they [aren’t]. You can’t make somebody care about everybody when they only care about themselves. You can’t train that. You can’t teach that. You can’t encourage it. It’s either in you or it’s not. And it just so happens that most of the people in the city man it’s in them to see about themselves,” the rapper added.
Pics Of Gucci Mane's Cars (2012)
Rappers brag a lot, and some of them can back it up. Gucci Mane has a quite a collection of cars, but I would to showcase some of his best cars right now. I mean, the cars that are currently in his garage, and appear to be his favourite.
He has a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia ($370,000); he has another Ferrari , a black Ferrari 612 Scaglietti ($312,000); he has a white Hummer- H2; he also owns a black Dodge Challenger ($150,000), and he recently bought a black Bentley Mulsanne ($285,000).
Check out the pics below...as usual, they appear in the order i have listed them above.

Gucci Mane Disses Nas
Well, he didn't make a diss record or anything, but as diss is the short for disrespect, he did diss Nas. Check out what Gucci Mane said about Nas below-
Gucci then came into the studio and chimed in, and said that the Queensbridge veteran actually doesn’t have much, even saying “Nas fucked up right now.” He then continued to talk about the rides him and Rocko has, and insinuates Nas has nothing.
Rap beefs seem to be popping up all over the place, and one of the key figures in a couple of the more notable beefs is Gucci Mane, who is never afraid to speak openly, or hate openly. In a recent video of a behind the scenes shoot following Rocko, one of Gucci’s affiliates, Mane had some unflattering things to say about Nas.
Rocko was discussing with the man filming the scenes how impressed he was with Nas’ numbers on his most recent hit album Life Is Good, and how it was accomplished with minimal marketing and promotion.
Gucci then came into the studio and chimed in, and said that the Queensbridge veteran actually doesn’t have much, even saying “Nas fucked up right now.” He then continued to talk about the rides him and Rocko has, and insinuates Nas has nothing.
“Did Nas make 150 blood money first week off a mixtape? Yeah, blood money. Nas fucked up right now,” Gucci said in an interview posted on Complex. He then continued, speaking to Rocko, “You got a Rolls Royce. I just bought me a ... Don’t you got a drop top and your brother got one with the hard top? You got the white one and I am getting the black one?,” then asks, “ Nas got one?” (hotnewhiphop.com)
Gucci has been going at everybody in the last 3 weeks...from Young Jeezy, to T.I, to Young Joc, French Montana, Nicki Minaj, Yo Gotti, and now Nas. It is obvious he is really just looking for attention...or maybe he isn't happy with himself, and believes by disrespecting other people, he will feel better. I don't think Nas would respond to this in anyway.
Keyshia Cole Calls Gucci Mane a Liar
Last week, Gucci Mane revived his long time beef with Young Jeezy, and unfortunately, singer, Keyshia Cole got caught in the cross-fires. In the Gucci Mane diss song (Truth) directed at Jeezy, there is a line that goes thus- I did a song with Keyshia Cole and I know you still miss her /But Puff was f*cking her while you was falling in love wit her
There was a time Keyshia Cole was seeing Jeezy, but I don't think anything serious came out of that. Now Keyshia is married with a kid, she doesn't need this kind of info flying about... I know she was around puffy (diddy) a lot around 2005-2006, and there is a possibility to Gucci Mane's claims, but he should have looked at her current status, and not put the info out like that.
Anyway, read her tweets on the matter below-

"That ain't my business!! he's lying! its all G tho. RT @iMBRiTTANYDUh: Gucci Mane wrong for putting @KeyshiaCole buisness out there.," Cole tweeted Sunday (October 14).
"Putting all ya trust in some of these "Hood Rappers".. How u gone be a G, and u spreading lies, To sell mix tapes! Where ya talent at??"
"Basically. Dude ain't have 2 lie tho! could've kept me out of it. RT @TokioRose: @KeyshiaCole Mediocrity always attacks excellence."
"I will continue 2 build what I'm working so hard accomplish! I'm married with a child, and don't have no place in that none sense!" (Keyshia Cole's Twitter)
Young Jeezy Addresses Gucci Mane Diss
A couple of days ago, Gucci Mane re-ignited his beef with Young Jeezy by putting out a diss track titled Truth. In case you don't know, Gucci and Jeezy beef dates back to 2005, when they were both getting into the game. It was over a Gucci Mane song (Icy), which Jeezy was featured on. Apparently, Jeezy had the impression that it was a joint effort, and was planning to use it on his debut album, Thug Motivation 101. But Gucci used it first on his independent album, Trap House. Jeezy got pissed that he hadn't even been paid for his contribution, and put out a diss track aimed at Gucci titled "Stay Strapped". Their beef escalated to the streets, and Gucci ended up killing one of Jeezy's boys (Pookie Loc) in self defence. Gucci was charged with murder, but the charge was dropped due to insufficient evidence.DJ Drama tried to end this beef on radio a couple of years ago, but I guess the ego of the two men wont let that happen. Or, maybe Jeezy can't stand being friends with someone that killed a friend of his. Gucci alleged that Jeezy had put a $10k bounty on his head back in the day, but the killers (who included guys from Jeezy's camp) didn't succeed.
Anyway, concerning the new diss song from Gucci Mane, read what Jeezy had to say about it-
"I mean, I feel like everybody know that boy retarded, nobody take him seriously. He got an ice cream cone on his face. That being said, I'm not going back. I'm going forward. And then it's crazy because they'll call you and want you on a song. And then when you don't get on a song, that's what happens. Of course [he called me]. He called me a few times. I just said it wasn't a good idea. We past that. I don't want to go backwards. He reached out a few times and I didn't do the record, so I guess he feel a way. He didn't take his medicine that day. Shortbus shorty."And you can check out the first and second verses of the Gucci Mane diss track (Truth) below-
"80 chains going and ain't took one yet /Ain't nothing retarded 'bout Gucci but this gold Rolex /A ten thousand dollar bounty put on my neck /I hope you didn't pay them cause they didn't have no success /You seen my interview n*gga and you got upset /I seen your interview too, you looked oh so stressed /I think the n*gga just mad cause I f*cked his ex /And I'm a big dog, he got the lil' boy complex /Go dig your partner up n*gga, bet he can't say sh*t /And if you looking for the kid I'll be in Zone 6 /I hit a birthday party fresh, you and ya homeboy Tip /I know y'all seen me over there with that black fo' fifth..." ("Truth")And the second verse
"I ain't playing wit ya, I ain't trying to dance wit ya/I ain't using hands, let them rubberbands get ya/It take money to go to war and we can go to war n*gga /I ain't no real rapper, I'm a f*cking grave digger /I'm a old school fool, don't make me show my age n*gga /Grab a Louisville and turn it to a batting cage n*gga /I did a song with Keyshia Cole and I know you still miss her /But Puff was f*cking her while you was falling in love wit her /Call you to do a song, wouldn't even smoke no bud wit ya /I was screaming so icy and was a neighborhood n*gga /This AR is my back up cause I don't need nan n*gga /Must didn't hear when Flocka said "Let them guns blam n*gga!" ("Truth")
And you can listen to the track here- Truth
Rap Albums on The Billboard Charts
Kanye West is still on the charts with his 5th album, My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy. He sold 10,000 copies this week, bringing his over all total to 1,095,000. I was really thinking the song with Rihanna, ALL OF THE LIGHTS, would have a heavy buzz and give the album a boost, but i think i guessed wrong.
Lil Wayne's I Am Not A Human Being EP is still selling, and i am wondering why this album is still selling- who is buying it? I have had it in my store for so long, it is gathering dust...in fact i am ready to give it out to the next person that comes in. I am just kidding. But seriously, i am really surprised that it is still selling. Anyway, its sold 9,800 copies this week, bringing the total to 827,000 copies sold so far.
Pharoahe Monch just dropped a new album, W.A.R (We Are Renegades), which sold 9,700 copies after a week in stores. Raekwon's Shaolin vs Wu-Tang album album sold 6,500 copies this week, bringing the total to 45,000 sold.
Wacka Floca Flames Home Gets Raided
It is funny that Wacka Flocka Flame's home got raided and it is Gucci Mane that got arrested; i know they are close, but does gucci live there now?
Anyway, check out the story below:
According to a search warrant obtained by TMZ, police raided Waka Flocka's house seeking "marijuana, articles, pictures, and communications relating to gangs and gang paraphernalia." Waka wasn't home at the time, but police told TMZ that marijuana, prescription drugs and two firearms were found. Two men were arrested in the raid and charged with possession of less than an ounce of weed; Gucci Mane, who was also in the house at the time, was briefly detained. (Rolling Stone)
According to neighbors, there are still four cop cars parked outside. We're told Waka is not there -- and his mom tells us, if he doesn't show up soon ... cops will issue an arrest warrant. UPDATE: We're told Gucci Mane has since been let go. Waka is still AWOL. (TMZ)
Below is what Wacka had to say about the incidence on his twitter page:
COURT LOL. N THEY F*CK MY WHOLE HOUSE UP TALKING BOUT THEY GOT A TIP ...... HELLO I F*CKING RAP .... NEXT TIME (PO PO) GET A BETTER TIP. IF I DONT STAND FOR NOTHING I'LL NEVER B SH*T AND THATS REAL TALK #FLOCKANOON. #BeAware " BIG BROTHER" IS WATCHING." (Waka Flocka Flame's twitter page)
All i am going to say is that these dudes need to stop getting into trouble all the time
