Yea, the president of the United States of America, Barack Obama listens to rap music. In a recent interview on Sway in the Morning show, Sway asked him who some of his favorite Hip Hop artists are, and he said...




“Jay Z is still the king. He’s got a track record. Same with Kanye, so there’s a lot of talent out there, but when I look at who’s breaking new ground — Kendrick and Chance. Those guys are doing just amazing work and they’re wonderful young men.” (Hip Hop DX)

Kim Kardashian's Mother (Kris Jenner) Goes In On Mr. President (Barack Obama)

So, a couple of days ago, during an interview with Amazon, Barack Obama was talking about The American Dream, and how it has changed. He talked about how people are presently more concerned about knowing everything celebrities do, and use it to measure what success is. Let me just take a quote from the Obama interview- "Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success."

Kris Jenner defended her daughter and Kanye West on her show this morning...read her words below. And please, do not read it with the mind that "nothing good can come out of Kim Kardashina's mom's mouth"...read it with an open mind, she dropped some gems in there-

It’s really great that people aspire to get a great job, and I too wanted that when I was growing up, and when I had graduated from high school, I really wanted to work hard and succeed. But I wasn’t aware that you could only set the bar so high. And that we could only dream so big. I was taught ‘dream big, work hard and you can have whatever you wanted,’ right?

And another thing. I bet the President has some friends with 10,000 square feet houses and you probably wouldn’t mind going over there, Mr. President, while you were asking them to have a party for you, when you were campaigning for dollars to run for president. I find it so odd that he’s picking on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Kanye West doesn’t go on vacation ever […] and Kim Kardashian is the hardest working young lady in the world. She never sleeps, she never stops, she never slows down, and works so hard for what she’s got.  So I started thinking about her 10,000 square foot house and I thought, ‘Wow! Her job, affords her to live in a 10,000 square foot house.’ And I think, if I’m not mistaken, Mr. President’s job affords him to live in a 55,000 square foot house. So basically, my house would fit in his entry.

With all of that aside, you poke at someone and criticized someone for living a lifestyle. I’m sure when he grew up his dream was, ‘One day, I want to be the President of the United States and have a wonderful and fabulous life.’ And that was his dream. And I just  don’t think that we should put a cap on [what our dreams are]. Also, the thing I wanted to point out is that, we employ and give jobs to hundreds and hundreds of people just on Keeping Up With Kardashians alone and I think that’s a wonderful thing.

First of all, I think Obama is the the president of United States and shouldn't be using celebrities names in his speeches to prove anything. And what Kris Jerner said is very true; It was all good when Obama was getting donations from all the very rich friends of his, and he really didn't care what those people did for a living, and now he is trying to be a moral person. I am not a Keeping Up With The Kardashina's fan, but I never let hate blind me from the truth. And, for the record, what is the American Dream about anyway? He is making it seem like the American Dream is about modesty; that is far from the truth. People that built America were the risk takers, and there was no limit to their wealth. The Henry Ford's, the Andrew Carnegie's, and the Walt Disney's had very minimal education, but they lived the American Dream through attainment of their dreams. Everyone and every line of work has a place in the world; no one should be ridiculed cos he/she is in the entertainment world...especially not by the president of a great country like America. Kim and Kanye are living their American Dream through success in what they do, period.

The American Dream involved some pretty basic stuff. A home you could call your own. A good job where you felt some security. A good education, and the ability to get a higher education if you wanted to pursue it. People felt if they worked hard they could get there. I don’t think people went around saying to themselves, ‘I need to have a 10,000-square-foot house’. I think, there has also been a shift in culture. We weren’t exposed to the things we didn’t have in the same way that kids these days are.

There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.

Barack Obama Comments On Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey Beef

In the midst of debates, and re-election campaigns, the current U.S president still had time to answer a question about the ongoing Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey feud. Both Carey and Minaj are judges on the TV show, American Idol, and just haven't been able to get along. In a recent interview, Obama was asked whether he could intercede and squash the ongoing beef between the two stars, and below is what he had to say.





“I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident,” he said. “I’m all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they’re moving forward and not going backwards. But Obama appeared to play slight favorites. “Mariah, she’s actually done some events for us,” he said. “Nicki I don’t know, but I’ve got her on my iPod.”










Veteran female rapper and actress, Queen Latifah also spoke on the Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj beef...

“I would definitely not take sides in ignorance or anything like that. But um, I mean cause that’s really not about them. At the end of the day, both of them are very blessed to be in the position they are. And it’s about giving a leg up to the people who want to come along and be a Nicki and be a Mariah. But Mariah, come on now, you talking about 100 million [sales] right there. You have to respect your elders to a point.”

Will Smith Cool With Gay Marriage

Actor/Rapper, Will Smith made in his views known about the current backing of Barack Obama on the issue Same-Sex Marriage in the U.S. Check out what he had to say below-



Smith (who played an openly gay character in the 1993 film Six "Degrees of Separation") came out in support of same-sex marriage earlier this week, on the heels of President Barack Obama's acceptance of the institution. Yahoo! News shares that Smith told reporters in Berlin on Monday that "If anybody can find someone to love them and to help them through this difficult thing that we call life, I support that in any shape or form." So far, no one in the music industry has come forward to speak against Obama's actions...so, i guess we can all get along.

50 Cent Doesn't Have A Problem With Same-Sex Marriage

There has been a lot of talk lately concerning Barack Obama's backing of same sex marriage. i think Jay-Z was the first rapper to say he was behind The U.S President in the His stance, now 50 Cent has also shared his opinion.


"You know what? I think everybody should be happy," 50 said in an interview. "I think a fool is going to go against same-sex marriage at this point. The President...look how long it took him to say he's for same-sex marriage, you understand? Now, it's completely different -- It's obviously more socially accepted. In fact, if you ask women have they had female interactions and she responds, 'Yes,' it doesn't even feel not normal anymore. It's more common than not. ... I think I'm for it. If everyone else is for it, then hey, to each his own. I don't have a personal feeling towards it because I'm not involved in that lifestyle, but I want people to be happy. It just makes for everything to be better, everybody be comfortable and conveniently work together and do different things." (XXL Mag)


You know why posting these comments are so important? Because rappers are some of the most Homophobic people on the planet, and for them to all not to have a problem with same-sex marriage is a surprise. Or maybe they are not really about what they say in their music. Me? I am all about- to each his own. As long as your lifestyle don't affect me in anyway, then you can do what you want.

Lupe Fiasco Defends his Comments About Obama

A couple of days ago, Lupe Fiasco called current U.S President, Barcak Obama the biggest terrorist. That got him a lot of hate attention and he has come up again to defend his words, and say he isn't going back on them. Below is what he had to say about his comments on Obama-

"I've got nothing to clarify. It's Obama and the U.S. government," Lupe said, echoing his comments to CBS. "[It's] every president that came before him and every president that comes after him...It's funky because everybody's pulling soundbites from this one interview that we did, but they don't talk about anything else from the interview. So it's really about, 'What do people want to listen to?' It's not what I want to talk about, cause I want to talk about all types of sh*t... there wasn't the same reaction about me having a book club... about me trying to promote literacy in a country with 50 million functioning illiterates walking around, because we have a failed and flawed education system." (Billboard)

Fiasco also elaborated on his personal decision not to exercise the freedom to vote.
"Voting doesn't work, because everybody who voted, voted for the same people who are in office right now that are actually allowing these policies to go forward... You have to educate the populace -- the masses, the voters, the people who don't vote, the people who pay taxes." (Billboard)

Well, as i said before on my previous post on this matter, i think everybody has a right to comment and say what is on his or her mind, and i have my own personal reservations on this matter, but i don't totally get where lupe fiasco is coming from. From my point of view, i think the U.S government are just as much terrorist as the people they are fighting. First of all, i feel if you don't have any dealings with these people, you can actually co-exist, but it is clear that the U.S has always been interested in their Oil, and these people feel terrified by the presence of the Americans, and sometimes take actions with the notion that they are being terrified by these people (the Americans) on their land...to them, it is like they are fighting the terrorist off. Even if they blow up themselves to send a warning to the U.S, the Americans also retaliate and create their own terror; so tell me, who is right? This is just my own thoughts on the matter.

And on another note, their is something i have learnt from my 2 years study of mental science, and how the brain and mind works. And that is- what you resist persist. If they keep starting up anti terrorist programs, and killing one terrorist leader or the other, they are giving their attention to that, and they will keep getting more of that. I am 30 years old, and since i can remember knowing anything, the U.S government have always been fighting one terrorist or the other. Thy just killed Osama Bin Laden, or so they say, and they took to the streets to celebrate, but do you know how many people have died since them? Of cos they don't really care, because those people are not Americans.
