Ja Rule Talks About His Kids Careers

Jeffrey Atkins, AKA Ja Rule is a successful rapper by all standards. He has 7 albums to his name, and 4 of the 7 are multi platinum selling albums. His highest selling album, Pain Is Love sold over 6 million copies worldwide when it was released in 2002. In his recent interview on Power 105.1 FM radio, he talked to the hosts of The Breakfast Club about the career paths of his kids.

Read his words on this below...

I wish them all the best. But for real, Ja's older son looks so much like him. If ever there is a Ja Rule biopic, his kid needs to play his part.

Jarule Explains The Challenges Children Of Successful People Face

People generally believe that children of rich and successful people have no challenges, but Jarule thinks otherwise. His children, and the children of his long time friend and business associate, Irv Gotti are currently on a show called Growing Up Hip Hop. During Irv and Jarule's recent interview on The Breakfast Club show, one of the hosts of the show (DJ Envy) asked what the show would be about since their kids didn't have any struggles growing up. And Ja Rule shot back with...

One is living up to the expectations of their parents. That's a big thing for them. Like just think Envy, your kids, people probably think whatever they do, or if they want to get into DJ'ing or anything like that, they would probably think they are naturally going to be good at it. You know what I'm saying. It's like the Michael Jordan syndrome for your kids. It's like people just naturally think the kids are supposed to be good at whatever the f*ck you did that you were great at. And that's just not the case. So they get that pressure on them too to be good or as good, or better than their parents. And that's a lot of pressure."

Pictures: Fabolous with Other Rappers on Chris Brown's "The Party Tour"

In February, Chris Brown announced he would be embarking on a nationwide tour with guests like Fabolous, 50 Cent, French Montana, O.T Genasis and a couple of other musical artists. It's good to see Chris Brown touring with mostly New York rappers cos they have been getting the least attention these days.

Anyway, Fabolous has been having a swell time on the tour, bringing out other rappers whenever the tour touches down in their city, and I would love to share some pics from Fab on tour.

"The Truth in the Matter is 50 (Cent) Did Get His Ass Whipped and Harmed By Us"- Irv Gotti

Unless you are new to Hip Hop, you would know that 50 Cent had a bloody beef with Ja Rule and Irv Gotti back in the early 2000s. It is also public knowledge that after 50 Cent got into a fight with Ja Rule, Rule and his boys went in search of 50 Cent, found him at the Hit Factory Studio, and gave him a good beating. Which later prompted Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) to get a restraining order against Irv Gotti, Irv's brother, and Dark Child (a Murder Inc artist who had stabbed 50 multiple times). In a new twist of events, Irv Gotti got drawn into the ongoing Meek Mill and 50 Cent Beef. 50 Cent said some disrespectful things about him, so he brought up the past. See what he had to say about his past feud with 50 Cent below.

Pic: Jarule and Sons

New York rapper, Jarule shared this pic of his two sons on Instagram over the weekend. Hmm! These rappers can't be acting like thugs anymore.

Jarule Got All Buff in Jail

Jarule used to be the litle sized dude, but not any more. It seems jail time always has some advantage for this rappers. Prodigy was super skinny and always looked sick all his career, till he went to jail and got out a couple of years ago. He got out looking all muscular. The same has happened to Jarule, who just got out after serving a 2 year bid for a gun possession charge.

Check out a recent pic of Jarule and Nore below-

Jarule's Wife Addresses Rumors of Rapper Being Broke

Jarule's wife lashed out at haters who have been speculating that her husband is broke; she let them know he left them well off before going in to serve his 2 year jail time. Read what she had to say below-

Ja's wife Aisha tells TMZ, "He did leave us well off. All of the rumors about Ja being broke are far from true." Aisha adds, "Ja made sure ... that me and my kids wouldn't need anything as far as income goes. Heplanned well before he went in." "We won't be bad ... even for a little bit -- that was Ja's first priority as a man who makes sure familycomes first." (TMZ)

I have been hearing these rumors for years, and i wonder where they come from. I guess they come from all the G-Unit fans that believe 50 cent totally destroyed Jarule, He might have dented his music career with help of course from Dr Dre, Eminem and Busta Rhymes, but he never touched on his finances. Just so you know, Ja's money is long. I know that cos i did a research. So, to all the haters, dead that rumor.

Let me re-educate people a little- Jarule's very first album went double platinum; that was Venni Vetti Veci (1999). The very next album, Rule 3:36 (2000) went 3 times plat, that means it sold 3 million copies in the U.S alone. The third album, Pain is Love (2001) went Quadruple plat, and 6 million copies worldwide. Most of his albums are still selling; so also his singles. So, you should know that the royalty checks come in on a regular.

He has some other investments on the side, plus all the money he makes from the movie roles he has been getting. And i also want to add one thing; i never heard of him putting any of his numerous luxury houses all over the U.S up for sale. And he still got his Maybach and every other high-end car he has, so i just wonder where all the mis-information is coming from. That's why i always ask people not to believe everything they hear, or read. In fact, you don't have to believe me, just carry out your own research, that's why you have google.

Just for the record, i am not a die-hard fan or anything, i just don't like when people are mis-informed.

Jarule Starts his Jail Sentence

Jarule starts his 2 year jail sentence on June 8, which was yesterday for me in African time, but still today in some states along the western coast of U.S.A. I wish him all the best, but it is just crazy that all these rappers are going to jail for silly reasons. Well, not too silly, but i am just thinking- why now? Okay, jarule was pulled over in 2007 and they found a loaded semi-automatic pistol in his possession, and that is exactly what he is going to jail for. I can bet a lot other rappers carry un-licenced guns around, and i can bet jarule has been doing this for years, but i am just wondering why now?

Hell, Game showed off his gun in the "stop snitching stop lying" DVD and...okay, maybe that was a licensed gun, but it is just sounds odd to me that jarule is going in for something like this. When T.I had his own issue, there were machine guns found in his possession, so i understand that one, but for ja to get two years for a gun possession- one gun that would have probably been for his protection, i am just thinking.

Okay, let me do a check on all the rappers that have gone to jail in the last 3-4 years; T.I initially went in in 2009, came back in 2010 on parole; and went in some months later after violating the parole. Lil Wayne went in 2010, came out that same year. Prodigy just got out a fews months ago, but i can't remember how long he was in for.

Back to jarule, he was meant to release his new album, "Pain is Love 2", on June 7th, a day before going in, but he said he worked on it later than the submission date, so it would probably come out in about two months. The first single off the album- real life fantasy is supposed to have a video directed by Hype Williams; i guess the video would be released soon. I have heard the song, and i am still waiting for it to catch up on me. I like the chorus to the song, but don't quite like the jarules rapping style. Many i just need to get used to him again.

Read more on Jarule turning himself in below-

Ja Rule has turned himself over to authorities to begin serving his two-year prison sentence in New York.

The rapper appeared at a courthouse earlier today after spending time with his family and close friends. TMZ reports that his final words before entering the building were, “Real life is a fantasy, fuck fame... I’m ready for this to get over with. I am focused.”

The sentence stems from an arrest made in 2007 after he left a concert at NYC’s Beacon Theatre. After pulling over his car, police found a loaded semi-automatic handgun in the vehicle.

More News on Jarule's Pain is Love 2

Jarule was originally meant to drop his new album, Pain is Love 2 on June 7th, before going on to save his time in Jail, but there has been a slight delay. Read about it below-

Ja Rule originally intended to release his new album Pain is Love 2 on June 7th, the day before he enters prison to begin serving a two-year bid for weapons possession. But in the weeks leading up to the album’s release, Ja realized that they wouldn’t be making their deadline.

According to producer 7 Aurelius, Ja wanted to focus on making better records and exceeded the amount of time for distribution shingle Fontana to match the date.

“The plan changed mostly because of the level and quality of the records we were making,” 7 told MIO. “We have exhausted every possible way to have it available on iTunes for pre-order on the 7th. The main issue is that Fontana needs the album turned in before they will release a date, or even start their process which is normally sixty days for digital and hard copy.”

7 explained that the recording process has been lengthy in an attempt to create a cohesive record. “Me and Rule have to capture all the magic around us until he goes in, otherwise we are doing an injustice to his fans,” he continued, calling the LP his “most provocative and his most personal album to date.” “If we had stopped in April just to be able to turn it in to Fontana for a June 7 date, PIL2 would not be what it is now. They have acknowledged that because it’s Ja Rule, they will give it a fast track release once it is turned in and that would be digital and hard copy."

After Ja enters prison, his Hype Williams-directed video for single “Real Life Fantasy.” Additionally, fans will be given a PIL2 DVD touting music videos with the purchase of the album.

“You can’t rush art,” added 7. “Be patient and stay positive. We will not disappoint.

I think that is very true- you can't rush creativity. I am happy that he is excited about the album, and i am happy he can actually complete a full length album when he is about to go off to jail. I think i can respect him for that. I think the last real Jarule song i heard was the "Body" song, and i really liked it, so, if this anything like that in production, i would like the album.

Jarule Comments on The Lil Kim & Nicki Minja Beef

Jarule recently weighed in on the Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj beef, and said it was almost understandable as Hip Hop is a very competitive genre of music. He also said he felt that they can work it and get along. I think they can reach that point, but i feel like Nicki Minaj feels she doesn't have to, and doesn't need to at this point in her career, so i guess it would go on for a while. It is almost like Nicki is enjoying being on-top so much...being able to look at the fallen old comrades and laugh like- "Yeah! I am the shit now, you are washed up! HA-HA-HA"

Read jarule's comment below-

During the interview, Ja weighed in on Nicki Minaj and Lil' Kim's extended feud. No stranger to high profile beefs himself, Ja said that he thinks rappers are far more susceptible to feuding with each other because of the competitive nature of rap music. Ultimately, he believes that the two artists can work it out in the end.

"I think it's terrible, man," he said. "I like Nicki, I know Kim. It's fucked up that artists in Hip Hop go through that shit, because artists in pop and R&B and other genres..don't go through that shit...[Kenny Chesney vs. Garth Brooks,] you don't get that shit. You don't have to disrespect another artist's creativity...to better yourself or get ahead as an artist. I think Nicki and Kim, they can resolve that."

Speaking of beef, Ja also spoke on his failed super-group Murder Inc. with Jay-Z and former foe DMX. He said that the group ultimately never really took off because some of the members' egos.

"We tried to put [the Murder Inc. group] together, but it didn't pan out," he said. "I think egos got in the way of that whole situation. But you've got to understand that that's Hip Hop, too. Niggas are competitive. I think [DMX] and Jay[-Z] were so competitive [that]...real talk, we couldn't even get [them] in the same room because of their competitive natures and what they had been through before that [with]...the legendary battle that they had on the pool tables up in Uptown with the guns out."

I think jarule is making a lot of sense here.

Jarule Plans to Drop 2 Albums on the same day- June 7

Yeah! Legendary New York rapper, Jarule plans on dropping 2 albums before he goes off to jail; one titled Pain is Love 2, and the other The Renascence. I have not heard new stuff from jarule, but if he uses the flow/energy i heard from Mafia Music, that Rick Ross song that also featured The Game and Fat Joe, then i feel he still got it. Everybody is making a comeback, and trying to re-create their past successes, so why not jarule? I just feel what happened to ja was really unfair...50cent, dr dre, eminem, busta rhymes, G-Unit...all going at one man.

Read what he says about the 2 albums below-

"We in Miami doing it, putting the finishing touches on the [Renaissance] project," Rule said in an interview. "Finishing that up and we're getting started on [Pain Is Love 2]. Yeah, Pain Is Love 2. Yeah, it's about to go down. The Renaissance Project, it's got a real soulful vibe, a real music vibe. It's rider music. When you listen to the album, it'll put you in a different zone -- I dealt with the women on the album, you know, different than what you're used to. It's kind of like grown-up conversation. When you're young and you're making records towards the ladies, sometimes they can be rather derogatory. 'B*tch, h*e this, B*tch, that.' So you know, with some of the records on this album, they're more on an intellectual level when I'm talking to the ladies. It's more of a relationship that we've been in for a long time that we know how to talk to each other verbally..." (Rule York)

ain't been to sleep in 3 days lol... RT @mossburg00 @Ruleyork go to sleep rule lol," Rule Tweeted Friday (May 20).
"I'm saying this now PIL2 is the best album I've EVER made!!! Hands down..." (Ja Rule's Twitter)

It is almost like jarule is taking this jail bid like a vacation...like it is going to give him time to clear his head. I do know that most people appreciate life and time better when they go to jail. Prodigy was almost out of any-body's radar before he went in, he came out a couple of weeks ago, and he is everywhere.

"I haven't written rhymes in over 10 years," he added. "It was all in my head. I'm going to go in jail and write because it's just going to be impossible to store all that sh*t in my brain." (Rap-Up)

He is so focused he even has plans for after he gets out of jail in 2 years...he might get out after a year and some days. He even has a world tour slated for then.

"My '40 Days/40 Nights Around the World' tour is being set up right now," Rule exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. "I want the bus to come straight to the prison and take me to my first show. Put my family on the bus, have them come to the first few cities, send them back home, and let me keep going. It'll be international; 40 cities in 40 nights. I'll be so fresh and ready to go." (Rap-Up)

Jarule and Ashanti Make New Song

Jarule is about to go to jail for 2 years, but he is going to be dropping two albums before then, and one of them will feature LOL!, a new track featuring Jarule and Ashanti

Read about it below-

Between tracks like "Mesmerize" and "Always On Time," Ja Rule and Ashanti knocked out hit single after hit single together in the 2000's. Now, the former Murder Inc. artists are set to reunite in the studio for the first time in close to seven years.

According to RapUp.com, Ja Rule has enlisted Ashanti for his self-produced song "LOL." Rule explained that the song will appear on one of his two upcoming albums, The Renaissance Project and Pain is Love 2.

“It’s a fun record,” he exaplined. “It’ll definitely be on one of the albums, either The Renaissance Project or P.ain I.s L.ove 2, but I’m not sure which one yet.”

Ja Rule is currently preparing to serve a two-year prison sentence beginning this June 8 for possession of a weapon. Before he heads to prison, however, Rule said that he would be releasing his two aforementioned albums The Renaissance Project and Pain is Love 2, due out this June 7. (hiphopdx.com)

I wonder why he has to drop two albums before going to jail...why not one, and market it well, so that people can focus on that one album. I don't know, that is just what i think. I wish him all the best.

Jarule Talks 50cent, and Past

Jarule is about to go serve jail time, but he has been in the news lately, on different matters. He has been bringing up the past; what he did wrongly, what he doesn't regret, and what not. Everybody says 50 cent killed ja's career, i don't believe  he killed his career, i think he,dr dre, eminem, busta rhymes, the whole g-unit, and a bunch of other guys came at ja when he was down, and they made him look bad in the eye of the whole public, and that just made him go way more under. So, i don't think it was one man (50 cent), i think it was a whole movement going at ja (one man), when people were already getting tired of his style.

Anyway, read what he had to say about his whole singing style below-
"Drake can sing, man," Rule said in an interview. "I always admit it. I'm a shallow singer. But I think that's what attracted people to what I was doing, because I made you feel like you too could do this. I'm not blowing Luther Vandross notes over here! You could do what I'm doing. I think that's what made it pop music. I think for the people, that's what made it popular, that they were able to sing along with it and they weren't intimidated by singing along to it because it was a guy that can't sing." (RapFix)
"@50cent talked about me singing but that n*gga sure be hitting that high note lol My STUDENT!!!"

I think he had a valid point there; but like everything that is a gimmick, always has a time limit; and i guess his time was up after a while. But he had a good run for for it.

Read what he had to say about 50 cent and the whole beef below-
"Sway, I promise you, he can get on Twitter right now and say, 'Ja you b*tch a** n*gga,' and I'm gonna say, 'Good for you, young man. I wish you well,' " Ja told Sway in an interview. "I think a lot of people got wrapped up in my and 50's whole nonsense. For that, I would've done that differently, maybe. My beef was with one dude; I'mma keep it with that dude. I'm not gonna drag in this person and that person. Those old feelings are gonna bring back more old emotions and more old feelings. It's not important to me anymore." (MTV)

And i want to point out that the reason 50cent came hard at jarule was because of all the past humiliation ja and the whole murder inc camp had put him through when he was a nobody. They beat him up in his own studio, and left him with stitches.

Read some of ja's tweets concerning that matter below-
"I remember when we was beating @50cent a** he was curled up under the track board like a BIAICH lmao!!!," Rule tweeted Wednesday (March 23).
"I can talk sh*t on twitter to that ho a** n*gga I already f*cked him up TWICE lol... Talk what u know ppl better yet ask him lmao!!!"

JARULE'S COMEBACK (PART 2).

After hearing him rap on rick ross's song, mafia music(remix), alongside fat joe and the game, i knew he still had what it takes to leave millions in awe. Just for those that don't know, ja sold 4million copies each of two of his albums, 'RULE 3:36'(2000), and 'PAIN IS LOVE'(2001). And that was in the u.s alone.
Ja is working on a new album, which he believes would put him back on the hiphop map.
I think the hunter is now the haunted, the victor the victim, as 50 is at the lowest point in his career. His last album, CURTIS(2007) barely sold platinum. And he has been pushing back the release date of his latest work, 'BEFORE I SELF DESTRUCT', since 2008, as he is has not been getting the response he expects.
This is the best time for ja to make a come-back. He plans to drop a mixtape, 'welcome to rule york', before the album drops in NOVEMBER.

JARULE'S COMEBACK.(PART 1)

A lot of people believe 50cent ended jarule's career. Personally, i don't totally agree with that. He might have hit ja hard on a couple of comical songs, plus help from eminem, busta rhymes, the whole g-unit squad, and even the legendary producer/rapper, dr dre. Come-on! All those guys against one man. That's crazy. To top it up, 50 was the hottest out at that moment. 50 took the assault to another level by testifying against murder inc as a record label, and keneth 'supreme' griffin(80' mob boss and affiliate of irv gotti and jarule.), claiming supreme issued the 2000 hit on him as a favour to murder inc.
People should be giving ja props for still attempting to rap after all that.
Jarule's last studio album was in 2004(R.U.L.E). And he was supposed to drop an album in 2007(The mirror), which didn't see the light of day, as the two singles dropped prior to the album's scheduled drop date, 'uh-oh' and 'body' refused to gain radio play.
Ja is back in 09 to give the public what they've been missing.
