White America Is Highly Racists Towards African Americans in 2016

I watched Mr. Church yesterday night; a lovely movie staring Eddie Murphy and Britt Robertson. What caught my attention in the movie was a scene in the beginning where the little girl walked into the kitchen while Eddie Murphy was cooking, and quietly walked back upstairs to wake her mom up and say, "Mom, there is a black man in our kitchen cooking eggs." It was like to her, that was an abomination. Yea, it is a movie, but most movies portray what really goes on in the real world. That part of the movie was set in 1971, so I still understand that racism in America was really high back then. But I never believed it was still really that bad in America of 2016.

Scarface Says Donald Sterling Looks at His Players Like They are Livestock

A few weeks ago, a recording of the owner of The LA Clippers, Donald Sterling speaking on his dislike for African Americans hit the Internet. It was leaked by his girlfriend (who is half black and half Latino), and in the recording, Sterling spoke about not liking how his girlfriend associated with blacks and brought them to his games. Texas rapper, Scarface is the latest celebrity to speak on this matter. During his recent interview with ALLHIPHOP, he said Donald Sterling looks at his players like they are livestock. Scarface also spoke on the huge age-gap between Donald Sterling and his girlfriend, V Stiviano.

“You’re in love with your daughter’s granddaughter type shit? Dude you fuckin 80-years-old. How the fuck can you be in love with a—Like looking back that’s not even a child to him that’s like an infant. 40 is a child to him. But 20 is like a fuckin’ infant. But him being sorry for saying that he don’t like black people at his games? Hey, I ain’t mad at him. Shoot, I don’t blame him…It’s a whole bunch of other mothafuckas think just like him. White and black and Hispanic and Chinese…So, if those people don’t like you because of the color of your skin then it’s something wrong with those people. Ain’t nothing wrong with you, man…I love being me. I don’t even know how to be nothing else. I love that shit. For a mothafucka to hate you so bad they sure wanna look like you…He don’t look at them people like people, the kids that play for him. That play on his team. He look at them mothafuckas like livestock.”

Is Jay Z Racist For Wearing a Five Percent Nation Medallion

Last week Tuesday, Jay Z was court-side at a Brooklyn Nets game with his sexy wife, Beyonce. The couple had their fashion game on point, but it was really one piece of attire on Jay Z that caught the people at NY Posts eyes. Jay had on a five percent nation medallion, and has had a lot of people talking. The five percent nation group is a small sect that was started sometime in the 60s by Clarence Smith, who broke away from The Nation of Islam. Basically, the beliefs of the Five Percent Nation is that 10% of the world population manipulates 85% of the world population, and they (the five percent nation) are the 5% that have to enlighten the 85%. They also believe that black men are gods, while white men are devils.

The NY Post wrote an article on Jay Z being Racist for wearing the medallion. But a member of the group, Saladin Allah has said that Jay Z is not an active member of the Five Percent Nation. His words are below.

“Jay Z is not an active member — no one has vouched for him. It was always understood that you don’t wear the regalia if you don’t totally subscribe to the life.”

Jay Z was also wearing the medallion during his The Breakfast Club interview late last year. During the course of that interview,  Charlamagne the God asked him about the chain, and he said it wasn't his, that he got/borrowed it from someone. What i believe is that Jay Z is fascinated by the group, and maybe he contacted one of the members, and the person gave him a chain and welcomed him to the group. His initiation to the group may not be known by all, but Jay Z sure knows a lot about the group. On his verse off Jay Electronica's 'We Made It' remix, he rapped..."I'm God, G is the seventh letter made/So when my arms and feet shackled I still get paid/All praise due, I'm ready to chase the Yakub back into caves/these are the last days, but do i seem fazed?'

Okay, let me translate what Jay was saying with his words above. He calls himself God cos that's what Five Percenters believe all black men are. And the reference to G being the seventh letter is about the numeral 7 which is in the middle of the five percent nation medallion, which still goes back to the group's believe that black men are gods. And the line about him wanting to chase the Yakub back into caves refers to him wanting to chase white men/the devils back into caves. How so? According The Nation of Islam (which five percent nation sprung from), Yakub was the creator of 'the race of devils or white race. As the story goes, after being exiled from Mecca, the new race lived in caves, eating raw meat, for centuries before escaping and, through tricknology, enslaving the black population.

Hmm! I have to confess, when I started writing this post I didn't know all this...I researched as I went on. Personally, i think Jay just got himself in a lot of trouble with White America. lol! This is definitely racist. But the funny thing is that, regardless of how deep all these seems, and how enlightening it might appear, it is still all fairy tale; just like most of man's religious beliefs from time immemorial. The truth is that we all are equal, and have God potential in us, regardless of race. We all are that which we call God. But, really, it is very very hard for the common man to believe this.

Lord Jamal Says White Rappers Are Guest In Hip Hop

During a recent interview with Vlad TV, Brand Nubian member, Lord Jamal said white rappers are guest in Hip Hop. Hmm! Well, let me let you read what he said before I say anything.

“Okay, white rappers, you’re coming to this almost as a guest. Okay, matter of fact you are guests in the house of Hip Hop. Just because you have a hit record doesn’t give you the right as I feel to voice your opinion. White rappers, those of y’all who really studied the culture, that truly love Hip Hop and all that, keep it real with yourself, you know this is a black man’s thing. We started this. This is our shit. We’ve allowed you, those of you who’ve proved your skill and all that, we’ve allowed you to come in and kick your shit, make yourself known. You know what I mean? And if you have enough respect for the culture we fuck with you. But don’t push it too far.”

My problem with this is that it sounds pretty racist. Flip the script, how would it look if a white country singer came out and said Darius Rucker was just a guest in country music, and that he had to watch his limits? It will sound like a racist remark. So, why is Lord Jamar going this route?I know he has been in Hip Hop since 1989, and might not be happy with the changes that have taken place in Hip Hop since then, but this just ain't right. Black people complain about racism all the time, but this just shows that some of them are also racist against white people too. I think Hip Hop has done a lot in reducing racism around the world, so why take things back? Why make Hip Hop a black thing? There are great white rappers, great Latino rappers, even great Asian rappers, how are you suppose to wipe out racism when you make statements like this?

What prompted Lord Jamal's statement was the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis song, Same Love, which speaks on equal rights, and same sex marriages.

“Yeah, I say rap is gay friendly…Making a song like that is like feeling that you have the same footing as any other Hip Hop artist and to me you don’t. You don’t. Like I can’t go to somebody else’s house and even though they let me wear their clothes and eat their food, that’s not my house. That’s their house. And I can’t get so comfortable in their house that I feel like I can now start talking house politics…To me when people like Macklemore come out with songs like that, I know he loves Hip Hop and all that, but he’s trying to push an agenda that him as a white man feels is acceptable.”

I still think what he is saying is offensive. I mean, black people fought for equal rights, now a black man is not happy about a set of people getting equal rights? It just sounds like he is a very close minded person.

J.Cole Speaks About Racism In America

Although slavery was abolished over a hundred years ago, and black people are now free men in countries in which they were held as slaves, there is still no equality. This is no longer the 60's, when racism was still very prominent in the southern part of U.S.A, when freed slaves were just getting adjusted into the society in that part of America. This is 2013, where you have hundreds of black millionaires in America, but still, racism prevails.

Just to note, Jermaine Cole's (J.Cole) mother is white, and his father is black, so he is half Caucasian half Negro; but still, he speaks on Racism in America. During a recent interview with BET, he was asked if he has ever experienced racism, and he said...

"For sure, absolutely, I just got pulled over on 42nd street in Times Square for what I believe was nothing. They said it was for tints on my front window, which is barely tinted. I really believe it was because I had my hat low. I was driving through Times Square and I just didn’t want to be seen. So I had my hat low and I think I was looking “suspicious” just as a Black man with my brim low, when I was really just trying to cover my face. They came to my window, pulled me over. I feel like if I was a white man driving, they wouldn’t question me about my tints. They told me to roll down my back window; they look in my car as if they’re looking for something. I feel like that was the real thing, they were trying to catch somebody slipping. That just happened three days ago. I almost didn’t even name that because I am so used to that. That’s something that I feel like somebody my age that’s white doesn’t have to go through, especially in New York City. On the other hand, every time I’m on the plane in first class — this is a lesser evil but it still represents their mind state — I promise you, 60 percent of the time somebody asks me what basketball team do I play for or do I rap. [Laughs] I am a rapper, I wish I could tell them something better — that happens all the time and I hate it. I hate that we’re stereotyped and I hate that I’m fitting into the same stereotype."

Personally, I don't really think it is all about racisms...at least not to the degree people are speaking of it. I think white people see black people as a particular group of people they have to be careful around, because of what majority of black people in ghettos do. They don't necessarily look at the colour of the skin and determine to treat them inferior, but they treat them based on the behaviour of majority of black people in America. When majority of black people clean up their acts, and white's still discriminate against them, then I will call that racism.

Immortal Technique Gives His Opinion On Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman Issue

This is a controversial issue right now, and I really don't want to speak on it, cos my opinion might not be understood. But, I think Immortal Technique touches on a little of thoughts in his recent interview with Hiphopdx.com...Check out his words below-

"I think it’s a parent wake-up call more than it’s a Black person wake-up call even though it is a Black person wake-up call. I’m not going to say it isn't. I’m not going to call it a nigga wake-up call because I don’t think that we should even put the Martin family and that word in the same sentence. I say this much, that it is a wake-up call for Black people, but it’s also a wake-up call for parents. Parents, you’re going to have to have an honest discussion with your children about where they are and what they are walking through. You’re going to have to have an honest discussion about the value of people’s lives and how some people see it and where you are and to be mindful of your circumstances. The next Black person that dies in America is not going to be killed by a half-White, half Hispanic fake want-to-be cop. He is going to be killed by a Black man. So you're offended by what? You’re offended by people who hate you enough to kill you, or are you offended by people like you, who hate yourself enough to kill yourself? That’s the question we need to ask ourselves. This needs to be catalyst for people in the ghetto who are killing each other over blocks that they don’t own, over gang issues that are from their parents’ generation and not theirs. This is a wake-up call for them, too, because you have to realize that the clock is ticking and now you’re all on the chopping block, too."

"This is what has to change: If we're offended by the White establishment's champion, then this is the person they championed to be honest, it’s very sad," he says. "We're offended because someone did something of that nature and killed someone, then why aren't we offended when some of our own people kill each other? We should be just as offended at what’s going on in Chicago right now when they had to send in the Goddamn National Guard. We should be just as offended at what’s going on in Detroit with those killings. We should be just as offended as the majority of everything else that’s happening in terms of violence against our own people. We shouldn't look at that as the norm, either. If we feel guilty for looking at this as the norm, shouldn't we feel even more guilty for looking at that as the norm? Like, 'Oh…another nigga killed. Another nigga shot another nigga. Oh, that’s just the way it is.; Really, you’re mad at the fact that one person got away with killing a Black person, but you’re not mad at your mentality of, 'Well, a Black person killed another Black person, that’s just how it is.' We need to change that."

Paula Deen Using The "N" Word

Celebrity chef, Paula Deen is the big topic of discussion right now because of her admittance of using the "N" word. And for those that don't know what the "N" word Is, it is Nigger...or Nigga. Food Network said they wouldn't renew her contract when it expires at the end of June 2013. That's not all, Wal-Mart dropped any associations with her 2 days ago, and Smithfield Food dropped her as a spokeswoman also. Target Corporation and many other companies have also cut tiers with her.

This whole thing started off when a former employee of Deen, Lisa Jackson sued her. Jackson claims she was sexually harassed, and worked in a hostile environment rife with innuendos and racial slurs while working for Paula Deen and her brother at Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House in Savannah, G.A. I don't think Paula Deen using the "N" should surprise anyone, considering the fact that she is a 66 year old white woman that grew up in the southern part of America in the 50s. As much as she must have tried to fight it, and believe in equality, old habits die hard. The "N" word was something used loosely by white people of the south back in the 50s and 60s. Racism was very prominent at the time. This was the period when Emmett Til was brutally beaten to death for whistling at a white female. It shouldn't be shocking that Paula Deen would unconscious use the "N" word, but it doesn't necessary mean she meant the use in any offensive way.

She was on the Today Show Wednesday morning, and below are her words-

"The main reason I am here today, Matt, is it's important to me that I tell you, and everyone out there, what I believe and how I live my life. I believe that every creature in this earth — every one of God's creatures — was created equal, no matter who you chose to go bed at night with, no matter what church you go to pray. I believe that everyone should be treated equal and that's the way I was raised, and that's the way I live my life."

Lauryn Hill Says Violence In Black Communities is a Reflection Of Past Slavery

Legendary female rapper, Lauryn Hill says violence in black communities is a reflection of the past enslavement of black people. Of cos not in those words, but that is a summary of what she is trying to say in her new 1,500-word essay on her Tumblr page. Lauryn is set to start her 3 months tax evasion prison sentence on July 8; she had failed to file tax returns in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

The open letter is really long, put I have extracted some paragraphs that I feel drive hom the point she is trying to make-

"The concept of reverse racism is flawed, if not absolutely ridiculous. Most, if not all of the negative responses from people of color toward white people, are reactions to the hatred, violence, cruelty and brutality that they were shown by white people for centuries. Much of the foundation of the modern world was built on the forced free labor of black peoples. The African Slave Trade, the institution of slavery, colonialism, its derivative systems, and the multiple holocausts throughout history, where whites used race as the defining reason to justify their oppression, conquest, and brutal treatment of non-white peoples, are how race became such a factor to begin with.

The initial claim by the oppressors, followed a moral imperative (so they said) that people outside of Occidental and European birth were in savage and cursed conditions, and that God justified the captivity of these people, and the rape and pillage of their lands."

Hmm! As much as I don't like to play the blame game as a black man, I think she makes some valid points in her essay. Keep reading...

"Of course there are white people who live transcendent lives, not exploiting ill-gotten privilege or perpetuating the sins of their ancestors who used violence and deceit as a means to gain advantage over others. Humanity in proper order is obligated to acknowledge the Truth, whoever it comes from, be they Black, White or other. Righteous indignation is simply a response to long-standing evil.

Much of the world is still reeling from the abuses of Imperialist selfishness, misunderstanding, ignorance and greed. Black people remain in many ways a shattered community, disenfranchised, forcefully removed from context and still caged in, denied from making truly independent choices and experiencing existential freedom. Their natural homes, just like their natural selves, raped and pillaged of the resources and gifts God has given to them. Interpreted through someone else’s slanted lens and filter, they remain in many ways, misrepresented. Taxation without proper representation, might I remind you, was the very platform of protest that began the Revolutionary War, which gained this country its independence from England. Anger is not only the natural response to the abuse of power, but is also appropriate when there is no real acknowledgment of these abuses, or deep, meaningful and profound change.

If we took all of what we deem horrible regarding the criminal abuses that black people have committed over this country’s history, and add it all up, it still does not compare to the hundreds of years of terrorism, violent domination, theft, rape, abuse, captivity, and beyond that black people have suffered under the ideologies and systems of white supremacy, racism, and slave based paradigms. I say this only to say that abuse unresolved begets or creates abuse. How then does the chief offender become the judge? Might does not necessarily mean right. Right is right. People forcibly reduced to sub-human existences, so that they behave in sub-human ways, helps a system to justify itself or feel less guilty about its blood saturated foundation and gross crimes against humanity. People, like plants, grow where the light is. When you enclose a plant and limit its light source, it will bend itself toward the light, for the light is necessary for its survival. This same thing happens to people locked in communities where little light and little opportunity is allowed them, survival then forces them to twist and/or bend toward the only way of escape."

If I want to sum up what she is trying to say, I'd quote part of Nas's verse on Tripple Beam Dreams (a Rick Ross song feat. Nas)-

"A project minded individual criminal tactics
Us blacks kids born with birth defects, we hyperactive
Mentally sex-crazed dysfunctional they describe us
They liars, the end of the day, we fucking survivors."

We blacks are just a result of the pyschological and mental trauma from past conditions of slavery, segregaion, and colonization. And for the African Americans, they just want to survive in the poor housing communities they were put in. But, even though all these are facts, I think the generation of white people that have this supremacy mentality are passing away with time. The current generation of white kids, or I'd say, the white kids from the age bracket of 15-35 don't have as strong a mentality of being a supreme race as those older. And this is a good thing, cos they are the ones that would rule in the future.

The Gangnam Style Boss, PSY Apologizes For Making Anti-American Song

It was recently discovered that South Korean Rapper, A.K.A, Mr Gangnam Style, had some not-too-nice words for American soldiers back in 2004. He was educated in the U.S, but he definitely still is loyal to his country. It was at the beginning of the U.S/Iraq war, and a lot of people didn't buy the idea of the Violence that was going on their...most of them(violence) perpetrated by American soldiers...PSY was one of those people that was offended by the actions of the Americans at the time. He was featured on a track by N.EX.T, a Korean band, and he said this to say-

“Kill those f***ing Yankees (Americans) who have been torturing Iraqi captives/Kill those f***ing Yankees who ordered them to torture/Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers/Kill them all slowly and painfully.”

Hmm! I guess he never knew he would be this big. That was 8 years ago. A lot of people don't even know he has been doing music that long. The video to his Gangnam Style has become the most viewed on Youtube.com, with over 805,000,000 views...making it the most watched video on the internet in history.

Below is his apology to the people of America, who have contributed greatly to his current success-

“As a proud South Korean who was educated in the United States and lived there for a very significant part of my life, I understand the sacrifices American servicemen and women have made to protect freedom and democracy in my country and around the world. The song I was featured in – eight years ago – was part of a deeply emotional reaction to the war in Iraq and the killing of two Korean schoolgirls that was part of the overall antiwar sentiment shared by others around the world at that time. While I’m grateful for the freedom to express one’s self, I’ve learned there are limits to what language is appropriate and I’m deeply sorry for how these lyrics could be interpreted. I will forever be sorry for any pain I have caused by those words.
“I have been honored to perform in front of American soldiers in recent months – including an appearance on the Jay Leno show specifically for them- and I hope they and all Americans can accept my apology. While it’s important that we express our opinions, I deeply regret the inflammatory and inappropriate language I used to do so. In my music, I try to give people a release, a reason to smile. I have learned that thru music, our universal language we can all come together as a culture of humanity and I hope that you will accept my apology.”

This situation reminds of when it was discovered that Eminem had a song with a lot of racist lyrics, which was recorded before he became a big star. His explanation for it was that he had dated a black girl, and when she broke up with him when he had already fallen in-love, he poured the frustration into hate on the whole black race...but that he really didn't mean it. Eminem's situation is similar to PSY cos, Eminem has become one of the greats in a music genre started and highly dominated by black people, and PSY reached world-wide status by the propelling force of the American music industry.

New York Writer Makes Racist Remarks About Jay-Z

In case you didn't know, rapper Jay-Z has some  percentage ownership of The New Jersey Nets NBA Team, and no matter how small the percentage might be, he can still make some decisions concerning the team. The latest decision he made was the white and black colour if their new uniform. This was what brought the hate from New York writer (phil mushnick), and made him make some racial remarks about Jay-Z...or was it? It probably comes from a deeper place.

Read what Phil Mushnick said about Jay's decision on how the New Jersey Nets uniform should look.

New York sportswriter is in hot water after writing that the Brooklyn Nets should change their name to the "New York Niggas" because they are co-owned by Jay-Z.

Phil Mushnick, who writes for the New York Post, has apparently been a long-time critic of the rapper's role in the franchise. In a Friday column, he trashed Jay-Z's choices for the team's new uniforms:

As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots -- what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new "urban" home -- why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment?

Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York Niggas? The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn B----hes or Hoes. Team logo? A 9 mm with hollow-tip shell casings strewn beneath. Wanna be Jay-Z hip? Then go all the way!

Mushnick responded to the furore surrounding his column later on Friday. Writing to sports site Bob's Blitz, he said that there had been "obvious, wishful and ignorant mischaracterizations" of his words.

"Jay-Z profits from the worst and most sustaining self-enslaving stereotypes of black-American culture and I'M the racist?" he continued. "Some truths, I guess, are just hard to read, let alone think about." (huffingtonpost.com)

Hmm! He does make a point with the last sentence. The problem is that hip hop music is an easy target; it's hard to defend a genre of music that has its artists bragging about selling drugs, disrespecting women and calling them bitches, and just generally being a rebel to the society, and glorifying it...i still love Hip Hop though. lol! Although this man is coming from a "hate" angle with his comments, it is hard to defend Jay-Z here. Or what do you think?

Jay-Z is a black man from the Marcy projects in New York, who is now a multi millionaire, and on his way to becoming a Billionaire. I guess some bigwigs feel he can't be professional enough with his decisons. Or maybe they just feel he just doesn't belong there. Anyway, read about a little problem Jay's decision from last year cost the team.

From the entertainment section, Nets .0000004563% owner Jay-Z’s foolish decision to throw an after-party in the Kentucky Wildcats’ locker room (after that team had clinched its NCAA Final Four berth) led to a $50,000 fine levied against New Jersey on Friday by the NBA.

When reached by this blog for comment, Jay-Z replied “Whatever, yo. That’s like .0000004563% of what I make. In a day.” (knicks.lohunblogs.com).

I guess i can say that Jay-Z could have answered that question without going the arrogant way. It's small issues like this that make people grade all black people as irresponsible.
