Kirk Franklin Says God Doesn't Hate Gay People

This is a controversial topic, but an interesting one too. During his recent interview on Power 105.1 FM's The Breakfast Club show, legendary gospel artist, Kirk Franklin said God doesn't hate gay people. He said this after one of the hosts of the show (Charlamagne) talked about reading in the Bible where it says being gay is an abomination.

Kirk Franklin reacted to this with...

Image result for kirk franklin on the breakfast club"The canon of scripture is coming from a place of a loving God. God is not built to hate gay people. The Bible is not a manual on how to hate gay people. And so, if we continue to keep isolating this individual things and make that the premise of what God is and who God is, we're missing the standpoint is that there is room at the cross for all of us. And all of us got something. All of us got something. And to make your something bigger than my something is to miss how big the love and grace of god is. And God is a God of truth. I believe that God's word is the truth, but there is no truth without love. And love can't exist without truth."

Interesting way to look at it. You can watch the full interview below...he talks about the the bible and what it says about gay people around the 8 minute mark.
