R&B veteran from the 90s, Jon B narrates in a recent interview with VLAD TV how he got to work with Tupac two weeks before his passing. R.I.P to Tupac. I am happy they got to work together, because that song, Are You Still Down is one of the smoothest rap/r&b collaborations made in the 90s.
Read what Jon B said about working with Tupac shortly before before his passing below...
"Two weeks after the song, he was killed. After we recorded the song, he was killed two weeks later. In Las Vegas. So I got to know Tupac and then he was killed. By the way, it was like, someone that you knew for a brief moment...you got to know him for a brief moment, had this moment that was extremely, you know strong, so much was exchanged in those three hours, and it was probably more than three hours, I'm just saying the amount of time that it took for us to get the bulk of the song down was three hours right. But there is mad time spent in the studio with Pac. I watched him record To Live In Die in LA."
Nice. I wish I met Pac. What an Icon. You can watch the full Jon B interview below.
