50 Cent's "Street King Immortal" Album Gets Pushed Back

50 Cent's 5th album, Street King Immortal was originally scheduled for a February 26 release, but, that is no longer happening; the album's release date has been pushed back again. Read more on this below-

On Wednesday, the "I Get Money" MC revealed to MTV News thatStreet King won't be out on February 26 and is now slated for a spring release, citing internal changes at Interscope Records as the reason. "Actually it's the system," he said. "It's a lot of adjustments being made there, obviously Christmas I think 35 people got let go." In the past, Fif has really taken Interscope to task when it came to delays and leakage of his music. This time, however, he seems to be understanding of the situation and exercising a great deal of patience. "It's a shift in who's responsibilities are what, so as fast as they get it together," he said. "I'm confident they'll put it together though, so it'll be out." (MTV)

I think this album has gone through too much delay and name-change. 50 just needs to drop this already and move on to bigger things. I still think he is scared of how it would do commercially. His last studio album (Before I Self Destruct- 2009) struggled to go Gold; For someone that was selling a million first week back in the mid 2000s, that was definitely a fall. He is trying all ways possible to make this do better than that, but the longer he spends not releasing it, the harder it would be for him to sell good numbers.
