Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" Goes Platinum Worldwide

Yea...Nicki Minaj has sold over a million copies of her second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded globally. The album has been out for 22 weeks now, and it has sold in excess of 1.1 million copies worldwide...and still selling.

She is still at 650,000 copies sold nationwide tho, but it is all good. She is going to drop a Re-Up of the album in November with 5 more songs, and it will definitely boost the sales domestically to over a million.

She is just 136,000 copies short of attaining platinum status with this album globally. Please note that these are worldwide sales, and not domestic sales. The album is still at a total of 521,500 copies sold in the U.S.

10th Week Sales of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday Roman Reloaded album sold 37,000 copies globally in its 8th week out, and is now at a worldwide total of 801,000. This is 199k copies short of going platinum globally, and she would definitely achieve that status in a couple of weeks.

Please note that these numbers are worldwide numbers, and not domestic sales. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded has only sold 493,000 copies in the U.S.

8th Week Sales of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded Album

Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album sold 18,000 copies in its 8th week, and is now at a total of 493,000 copies sold domestically. That is just 7,000 copies short of a Gold plaque, which she will surely get next week.

Her "Starships" and "Right By My Side" video get constant play on MTV, so, this album will keep selling for the next couple of weeks. I wish her all the best...it's a long way to Platinum from here, but i know she can get there.

7th Week Sales of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded Album

Nicki Minaj's second album has been on the chart for 7 weeks now; Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded sold 21,000 copies in its 7th week, to now total at 475,000 copies so far. This is a 3,000 rise from last week's 18k. I would say the rise in sales was as a result of her new video, Right By My Side, which features Chris Brown, and a cameo from Nas.

I think there would be another rise in its sales next week. And even if there isn't, and it steadies at 21,000, i would still consider that a rise. Right now, she is just 25,000 copies from going Gold, and she might probably achieve that status next week.

6th Week Global Sales of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

Nicki Minaj's second album is heading for that platinum plaque globally, and she would get it in due time. Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album is selling moderately, and for its 5th week, it sold 50,000 copies globally. The album is now at a 5 week total of 682,000 copies sold.

Just a little over 300k copies more, and she would be platinum globally. I like to always add that this figures are worldwide sales, and not domestic sales in the U.S. She isn't doing as good as her label mate, Drake, but female rappers have always never really sold as much as their male counterparts, so, by those standards, she is doing okay.

5th Week Sales of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded Album

Nicki Minaj's second album has been out for 5 weeks now, and she is just a couple of tens of thousands from getting a Gold Plaque. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded sold 21,000 copies in its 5th week, to now total at 436,000 copies. That is 54,000 copies from 500,000 copies...i think she should score that Plaque in about 3 weeks from now.

Nicki Minaj's second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded has finally gone Gold globally. The album sold 87,000 copies this week, being its third week, to now be at a total of 568,000. Congratulations to her and her record label. Please note that these are global sale numbers, and not domestic sales. She is not Gold in the U.S yet, but she has gone Gold worldwide. Pink Friday:Roman Reloaded has sold a total of 383,000 domestically.

A Gold status is attained when an album sells up to 500,000 copies. Platinum is the next step for her, and Platinum status is when an album reaches 1,000,000 copies sold.

This week, which is the second week, it sold 135,000 copies globally. It is now at a global sales total of 480,000 copies. That means she is 20,000 copies from receiving a global Gold Plaque for this album.

I say congratulations to her and her whole YMCMB crew; they are running things in hip hop presently.

Rap Albums on Billboard Chart

Nicki Minaj still holds the title of the highest selling rapper on the billboard chart this week, with her second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which sold 81,000 copies this week. Nicki's sophomore is now at a two week total of 335,000.

Christian rapper, Trip Lee is welcomed on the chart this week with his 4th album; The Good Life. The album sold 22,000 copies in its first week. To me, considering the niche he is in, i think that is a huge success.

Drake is at a total of 1,683,000 copies sold so far of his Take Care album, with 14,000 copies sold this week. There is nothing stopping this album from going double platinum and beyond. I predicted this even before the album dropped. Regardless of what people think of it, i consider it a great album.

I guess YMCMB really are running things. Tyga's Careless World: Rise of The Last King is up next, selling 10,000 copies this week, to now total at 191,000. Young Jeezy's TM103 album sold 7,800 copies this week, and is now at a total of 560,000.

1,412,000 copies of Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch The Throne album has been sold till date, with 5,400 copies sold this week. This album might not go double platinum, but i consider it one of the greatest hiphop albums to drop in a while.

J.Cole's Cole World album is still waxing strong on the chart, with 4,300 copies sold this week, it now stands at a grand total of 601,000. Diggy's Unexpected Arrival debut album sold 3,400 copies this week, and is now at a total of 43,000 copies so far.

E-40s Block Brochure, Volume 2 sold 2,000 copies this week, to now total at 13,000.
