Young Jeezy Has Words for his Critics and Fans






I can't believe it has been ten years since Young Jeezy's major label debut album, Lets Get It: Thug Motivation 101. Stuff like this makes me know I ain't young no more, cos I remember when this album dropped, like it was yesterday. I was in my last year at the University back then. Anyway, enough about me. Jeezy's first album, TM101 is about two be a decade old, and in the 10 year celebration, Jeezy decided to pen this letter to his fans and critics. He put up this letter on his Instagram page some hours ago. By the way, his first album was released July 26th, 2005.

Young Jeezy has a milestone concert coming up to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of his debut album, Thug Motivation 101. But while there’s many who refer to Jeezy’s music as Trap Music — the man who made “trappers” hot in hip-hop feels his music is way deeper than the simple label. On Instagram, Jizzle wrote a personal later to the world about his music and message.

"They say you have your whole life to make your first album, and they might be right.
Some call it poetry, others call it the ghetto gospel, but the industry calls it “trap music.” Go figure. Either way it’s the voice of the streets, and we all know that when the streets talk, we listen.
