Wyclef Talks About First Time Meeting Destiny's Child

A lot of people know Beyonce, but not so many people know about the original members of Destiny's Child (Beyonce, LaTavia, Kelly, and LeToya), and how Wyclef Jean helped get them their first hit song. Yep. Wyclef being on the remix of their No, No, No song shot them to limelight back in 1997. That was when I had a huge crush on Kelly Rowland. lol.

Anyway, in a recent interview on Steve Harvey's show, Wyclef talked about what happened the first time he met the original members of Destiny's Child back in 1997. Read his words below...

 "One of my best memories is Destiny Child. Right. And I always go back to that because I remember being in the room with Beyonce, Kelly and everybody, and if they watching this they already know. I was like, 'sing me a church song.' Right. Because for me, I feel that when you have raw talent, then you could be here 30, 40 years from now."

Hmm! I am wondering what's going on. Kelly Rowland recently posted a pic of herself and Pusha T on Instagram, and had this caption on it- "I love you baby! #streetlife @kingpush." Kelly Rowland Comes Clean On Boob Job

There has been a of speculation about Kelly Rowland getting a boob job (Silicon Implants), but it has never been officially confirmed. She was on The Wendy Williams Show yesterday, and you know miss controversial, Wendy Williams wouldn't let her leave without asking her questions that would throw her off balance. Well, it's a good thing Kelly didn't deny it like some other female celebs have done, and continue to do.

"I did. I’m very honest about that. The only reason why I am honest about that is because I think that so many inquire about it and I think so many people are jumping into surgery nowadays. I think it’s important that you take the time to understand what you’re getting yourself into. Be healthy. Get everything done properly. So you’re not just going in there blindsided.

Well, who am I to judge her over what she does with her body? If it has made her more confident and happy, it's all good. I don't know...there is something about Kelly that just makes her so loveable.

Kelly Rowland Reveals Who Her Favourite Rapper Is

A couple of days ago, Kelly Rowland was on Philly's Hot 107.9 morning show, and one of the questions she was asked by the presenter of the show was who her favourite rapper is. Her answer didn't surprise me.





"Kendrick Lamar, because I love how witty he is and how he thinks of things off the cuff. He is socially conscious. He puts things that are currently happening [into his music]. The way he thinks about stuff and puts it all together [is amazing]. He is just very smart and very intelligent and I like him a lot."

In a recent interview on Philly's Hot 107.9 morning show, Kelly Rowland revealed her celebrity crush as Hollywood actor, Jesse Williams. Hmm! I wonder how Jesse will feel about this...I also wonder how his wife will feel. I guess we all have secret crushes and fantasies, but Kelly is just bold enough to voice hers.'

"He is taken and I completely respect his wife – Jessie Williams. He is just gorgeous. It just makes no sense how beautiful this man is, and I saw him at Super Bowl and I refused to stare because its almost like you’re looking at a work of art. He is like so handsome. Female's obsession with make-up has led to a new wave of celebrities showing off their "no make-up" pics, to prove that they are true beauties. But you know most of them still add lil this and that, or do a lil photo enhancement. But when you hear chocolate beauty like Kelly Rowland wants to show her "no make-up" pics, you would definitely know that you are getting the real deal.

The first thing that popped in my head when I was asked to be a part of People’s No Make Up [shoot] was , “Oh My God! Oh my god what’s going to happen! Oh my God I’m honored” but I’m very happy.  I feel very comfortable in my skin and very comfortable to share it with you guys. When I’m not working, my preference is no make up.  I like for my skin to breathe because I do wear make up a lot, so I think it’s necessary to be au naturel.

What I don’t love about my face that gets covered by make up is my bags when I’m really really tired, but I love that make up does the trick.

When I don’t have make up on, I feel clean. I feel really really clean.

Kelly Rowland Speaks On Past Insecurities With Skin Tone

Kelly Rowland, Destiny's Child founding member and superstar songstress, once had insecurity issues with her skin tone. That’s funny, cos I have always loved Kelly’s chocolate complexion. I can remember when I first saw the "No, No, No" video from Destiny’s Child back in 1997, I fell in love with her immediately. In fact, I was always in awe of Kelly’s beauty in all their early videos that I never knew Beyonce was the lead singer of the group. I guess Kelly had self-esteem issues to start with; the skin tone thing is just a manifestation of the low self esteem she had as a young girl. But, since that Motivation video dropped, she has definitely been appearing more confident...she found herself, and fell in love with herself.

In a recent interview at the Essence Black Women of Hollywood event, she was asked about her skin tone, and she said-

“You know, I had great women in my life to help me overcome that. I remember I went through a period where I didn't embrace my chocolatiness. I don’t know if that’s a word,  but I didn't embrace my chocolate lifestyle  Just being a chocolate, lovely brown skin girl and being proud of that. I remember being out in the sun and I was trying to shield myself from the sun and Beyonce’s mom (Tina Knowles) said, ‘Are you crazy?’ She said ‘You are absolutely gorgeous’ and she just told me how beautiful I was, and how rare chocolate is and how gorgeous the skin is, all of this stuff. And I was just like ‘Yeah!’ Like a light went off and my mother had me sitting in the sun a little more, just to be a little more chocolate.

I am happy she found herself  and has embraced herself as she is. I don’t think she is the only one with the issue, there are millions of black females worldwide bleaching their skin just so they can be lighter. I remember telling an old girlfriend of mine that I am more attracted to brown-skinned girls, and she got off the couch and was like ‘what are you doing here then?’ I had totally forgotten she was light-skinned. I don’t look down on any skin tone, beauty is beauty regardless of hue, but I am just personally more attracted to brown...that bronze look gets me all the time. Lol!

Kelly Rowland's Nipples Slip Out

Just a couple of days ago, Friday to be precise, Nicki Minaj's boobs got exposed while performing at a live televised show, now it is a destiny's child's turn- Over the weekend at a show in New Jersey, Kelly Rowland's nipples slip out in front of a live audience. I am beginning to feel this is a ploy by these females to get some publicity. But it really ain't cool. Kelly Rowland has always been by best destiny child, i just wonder how this swings out for her. She just dropped her new album two weeks ago- Here I Am, and her very raunchy Motivation song is doing very good on the charts. The video has already gotten 31,000,000 views since it was put up on youtube- you can check it out here- Motivation

So, i am thinking, to save all this embarrassment, since these chics don't want to be wearing bra's anymore, they should start covering up the nipples with a star or something. Whatever, they need to device a means to handle all this obscene exposures...even if they are just accidental. I still love kelly though, and i would marry her if i can get to her on time.

50 Cent Says Kelly Rowland is The Most Underrated Solo r&b Artist

In a recent interview, 50 Cent let the world know that he thinks Kelly Rowland is supper talented, and that people have been underrating her for too long. Personally, Kelendria Trene Rowland, A.K.A, "Kelly Rowland", has always been my best Destiny Child since they dropped that track with Wyclef, No, No, No Part 2 (featuring Wyclef Jean)- 1997. I followed them through-out their career, and i most confess that Beyonce is the most hard-working out of the group, which, mixed with her talent, has gotten her the success she has, but i still prefer Rowland any day.

It always pissed me off when all her singles and albums weren't as successful as her former group member, but i guess with this new single, Motivation, which became a number 1 track all over the States, she would be going places. Her third album, Here I Am, drops next week, July 22, so watch out for it.
