Amazon like rapper from Houston, Texas, Megan Thee Stallion said in her recent Apple Music interview that half the people that end up in college never wanted to go in the first place, they just got pushed to go. She says most just go because that's what they feel is next for them after high school, not necessarily because they want to go to college.
She is currently joggling between her rap career, and attending Texas Southern University, and was talking about college in general when she said this. Read her words on college below...
"When you graduate high school, your people are telling you, go to college. I don't really think that half the people who go to college wanted to go to college in the first place. They just went because okay, I want to make my mama proud, you know what I'm saying. So I'ma go. You don't really know what you want to do when you first go to college and you get there and you are experiencing so many different things, and it's like it's a lot of distractions. And you probably don't even like what you're majoring in, so you definitely ain't paying attention in class, and now you kinda failing. So now it's like, dang, do I drop out..."
