First Week Sales Projections of Game's The Documentary 2

Game's 6th studio album (The Documentary 2) dropped on Friday, and after a full day in stores, it has been projected to sell between 70-80k copies by Hits Daily Double. Last month, I predicted  it would sell 60-85k copies, so I wasn't far from the truth. I am getting really good with this predictions. lol!

"It’s not quite a race yet, but after one day of sales. eOne’s The Game looks like it has the potential to give Interscope’s Selena Gomez a little competition for #1 next week. Of course, we’ll have a better picture on Monday when we’ll also be looking at new releases from Toby Keith (Show Dog), R. City (Kemosabe/RCA), Mayday Parade(Fearless), City and Colour (Dine Alone) and Kane Brown (Kane Brown Music).
Selena Gomez (Interscope) 75-85k album, 85-95k SPS
The Game (eOne) 60-70k, 75-85k"  (Hits Daily Double)

This is really great for Game...competing with a pop artist on a major label, while he is an independent artist. Even 50 Cent's last album, Animal Ambition didn't sell up to this, with all the promotion it got. And there is still the disc two (Documentary 2.5) dropping next week Friday. Being an independent artist and selling 70k first week is almost like selling platinum first week, money-wise. Why? Because most major label artists get about 35cents on a CD sale, while most independent artist (especially ones with a deal with EOne Entertainment) get about $4 on a CD sale.
