Gunplay Gives His Opinion on Ghostwriting in Hip Hop

Defjam artists/Rick Ross's long time associate, Gunplay recently gave his opinion on ghostwriting in Hip Hop. Ever since Drake got exposed by Meek Mill for using a ghostwriter (Quentin Miller), a lot of discussions have gone down on whether or not it is cool for a rapper to use a ghostwriter. Gunplay finally got to drop his debut album, Living Legend a couple of weeks ago (after being a ghostwriter for a long time), and during his interview with The Breakfast Club last month, he was asked what he thought about ghostwriting in Hip Hop, and he said...

"Hip Hop is in a whole nother chamber right now. This is not about that no more. It's...It's pop now. Hip Pop. That's what it is. And...You know what I'm saying. If somebody don't write their raps, nobody cares. When it comes out at the end of the day...They...You don't go to McDonalds and be like 'Yo, who cooked that.' You just buy the fucking sandwich...the fucking big mac...and you eat the fucking big mac. 'I like the fucking big mac, men! It taste great. I'm gonna go back again.' Nobody cares. 'Hey men, you the one that cooked that shit? Hey men! Hey...You ain't wash your hands.' Nah! Nobody gonna give no fuck. These kids, men! They don't even...They just found out what a ghostwriter was." (The Breakfast Club Interview)

LOL! Funny dude. But really, it is the truth. Meek exposing Drake is probably going to do more damage to Meek's career than to Drake's career right now. You don't believe me? Just watch. Drake's next album is still going to go platinum (probably in its first week of release), and Meek is going to have some industry problems for a while, cos the big label execs that make all these things happen hate people like Meek messing up their money by exposing what really goes into making a hit song in the music industry.
