Top Selling Rap Albums So Far In 2012

There is just like 5 weeks left before 2012 is history, but still, no rap/hip hop album released this year has gone platinum. But anyway, I have decided to put together the list of the top selling rap albums that have been released so far this year. I will re-do this list in the last week of December, but till then, below are the top selling rap albums of 2012 so far.

Nicki Minaj- Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (677,000)

Rick Ross- "God Forgives, I Don't" (438,000)

2 Chainz- Based On A T.R.U Story (383,000)

Kendrick Lamar- Good Kid M.A.A.D City (379,000)

Nas- Life Is Good (326,000)

Tyga- Careless World: Rise Of The Last King (305,254)

Maybach Music Group: Self Made Vol. 2 (242,924)

B.O.B- Strange Clouds (237,361)

Future- Pluto (188,700)

Slaughterhouse- Welcome To Our House (146,000)

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis- The Heist (134,000)

Lupe Fiasco- Food & Liquor 2 (127,600)

Lacrae- Gravity (126,900)

Big K.R.I.T- Live From The Underground (91,530)

Waka Flocka Flame- Tripple F Life (91,471)

DJ Khaled- Kiss The Ring (80,054)

kendrick is definitely going to overtake 2 Chainz and Rick Ross in sales before the end of the year; "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City" is going to end up the second highest selling rap album of 2012. Game's Jesus Piece, and T.I's Troubled Man drop Dec 11th & 18th, but I don't think they would have enough weeks left in the year to build up impressive numbers...maybe T.I would sell like 250-300k first week, but i might be wrong.
