Lil Wayne Plans To Retire After Tha Carter 5

It seems Lil Wayne wants to forgo the love for making music, and go all out with his new passion in skateboarding. In a recent interview, Wayne said he would be retiring after his Carter 5 album drops. The date for that is not set yet, but he is would be releasing a new EP (I Am Not A Human Being 2) next year year Feb. So, we should be expecting the Carter 5 album end of 2013, or sometime in 2014.

"I know y'all want me around for a little bit, [but] Tha Carter V is my last album," he revealed. "I've been rapping since I was 8 years old; I'm 30 now. That's a long time, and I like to do so many more things, and when I like to do something, I end up loving to do it real quick. And I love to do something, I'm fully focused on it and it only, and music sometimes is not that 'it.'"

A lot of rappers have said this, and ended coming back...e.g- Jay-Z, so we can't bank on his words just yet. It is not that easy to live the rap scene. Even Mase went ahead to be a preacher, and still back. to the rap scene. The rap thing is an ego boast for the rappers; and for the ones that don't do it for that, they do it for the love of the art...either way, it is hard to work away from the hip hop scene.
