Back in the late 90s,
Mase was signed with
Diddy's Bad Boy Records, and making mad waves. He went off the scene shortly after dropping his second album in 1999, and gave his life to Christ. He returned to try and complete his contract with
Puffy in 2004 with his
Welcome Back album, which did great but wasn't as successful as the two albums he dropped back in the day. Then he went off to the G-Unit camp in 2005, and then disappeared off the scene again.
Mase is back again; this time, he is linking up with
Rick Ross and
French Montana. I don't know what has been going through mase's mind, and what he really wants to achieve with his back and forth movement between Christendom and the hip hop world, but i just wish he would make up his mind on where he wants to belong.
Below is some news surrounding his recording music with Rick Ross and French Montana-
"We were in a Miami studio last night and Ma$e just stopped by," Montana
exclusively told XXL. "We were just workin' on my album. We recorded
two songs together--me, Ross and Ma$e. You might hear [Ma$e] on either
my album [Excuse My French] or Ross' [God Forgives, I Don't]
or both." Although the current 2012 XXL Freshman wouldn't divulge any
further details on the songs, he did mention that Ma$e is sounding
pretty sharp and this collaboration with himself, Rozay and the former
Bad Boy has been in the works. "We been planning it," French said. "Ma$e
sounds good, sound like he never left. His flow is crazy. We're going
to let the world hear soon enough. Stay tuned. Just stay tuned." (XXL Mag)
