GANGSTERISM AND VIOLENCE IN RELATION TO RAP MUSIC. (PART 3)

I think the rap group, NWA(Notable members- ice cube, dr dre and eazy e) gave birth to gangster rap. Then branched out: dre found snoop, eazy found bone thugz-n-harmony and ice cube formed the west side connection. All that was on the west coast. In the late 80's, when you had NWA serving out the gangster shit in the west, you had rappers like krs1, Rakim and big daddy cane(in the east) who just delivered bragadocious rap(for the last two) and conscious rap for the first.
You can count atleast a dozen celebrated rappers that blew up selling their gang-related stories to the public: 50cent, young jeezy, the game, tupac, dmx, mobb deep, rick ross and lots more. Not to say some of these rappers are/were not talented, but the gang factor added to their success.
Should that be the only subject black people would be able to talk about? We sound so ignorant and outdated like there is no better way to live ones life. Like we have been tought to believe we can't get bigger than we are. Deep rooted through slavery.
