50 Cent Speaks on Ending Beef With Game

Back in the mid 00s, G-Unit was the ish. 50 Cent was selling millions of records; and the rest of the crew (Loyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and Game) also branched out and made their solo debuts and let the world here what they had to say. Game on the other hand was never really signed to G-Unit; it was more of a marketing tool. Game's singing to G-Unit was a form of affiliation with the the buzz G-Unit as a group had. Game was really signed directly to Dr Dre's Aftermath label. Things fell apart, and The Game was kicked out of the crew on radio by 50 cent. And it has been waR since then...since 2005. The war actually left the two parties none the better.

In a recent interview, 50 Cent was asked about a possible re-union with Game, and this is what he had to say-


"Nobody asks me [about him]," Fif added, referencing Game. "I don't know. Let me see if this is just one of my character defects or not. When you said that [Documentary] record was crazy, you're making reference to things I wrote for that record. Meaning, the first three singles off of that were things that I wrote. So now, when you look at that, and you look at all the disrespect that was displayed over the years, ask yourself, 'Would you be inherently uncomfortable with the concept of associating yourself again with someone where -- you don't even know where it came from.' ... If I did something wrong, I can accept it, then I created motivation for it. But if I didn't do anything at all and it turns into what that turned into, I'll just stay away from it." Okay, where do i start? I think i will always respect 50 cent's business acumen, but i think 50 brought hate to hip hop, and he still breeds that hate within him. I can't think of any rapper that 50 cent has not beefed with. If you think of that, you would definitely know he is the one with the problem and not them.


And his case with this Game thing is like that person that helped you out, and keeps telling the whole world what he did for you, till you regret even associating with him in the first place. We all know he helped Game out. The Documentary (game's first album) is a classic, and 50 cents contribution is heavily felt, but you can't take away the fact that Game is an incredible rapper also. 50 Cent said he helped write the first three singles from the album (Westside Story, How We Do and Higher...or maybe Hate It or Love It, i don't know which is referring to); those songs are just 3 tracks out of an 18 track album. And he wrote the hooks, not the actual rap.


I would admit that those songs probably helped that album attain the commercial status it did, but there are other great tracks on the album 50 didn't have anything to do with. 50 helped with the radio friendly songs, but lyrically, Game proved his worth on songs like "Dreams", "Start From Scratch" and "The Documentary". And if 50 Cent wants the world to believe that he made Game who he is, why couldn't he do the same for his other artist under G-Unit like Tony Yayo? Game went platinum with his next two albums (Doctor's Advocate and L.A.X) after living G-Unit, so 50 can't say shit.


It's just a pity that they had to break-up in the first place. And before i forget, 50 was the one that kicked Game out of G-Unit live on the radio without even consulting him first. Why? Because Game was asked, during an interview what he felt about Nas, Jadakiss and Fat Joe (people 50 cent was, at the time, beefing with), and he said he thought they were legendary rappers he would like to work with in the future.
