Fabolous Looking at Sept Release for 6th Album; Loso's Way 2

New York Rapper, Fabolous is looking at a September release for the follow-up to his last album, which dropped in 2009. This album is going to be titled "Loso's Way 2: The Rise to Power". He dropped his first album (ghetto fabolous) in September of 2001, so this is going to be like a 10 year anniversary of his hip hop career.

“That’s coming in September, man. We lookin’ to do that around September 13th, actually, because September 11th is when my first album dropped 10 years ago,” he told Hot 106's Rise & Grind Morning Show. “That was also the tragic day of 9/11, so my album dropped that same day and we kind of want to do a 10-year anniversary kind of feel.”

I didn't know his first album dropped on September 11 of 2001; i knew it dropped in 2001, cos i was in college at that period, and was really feeling the album, but i didn't know it dropped on the same day as the 9/11 explosions. That was the same day jay's 6th album dropped (Blueprint). You know, if i was the type to buy into all these "jay-z is evil" documentary flying around, i would just tie the 6th album occurrence on a bad day as  something demonic. I mean, jay's 6th album dropped the same day the world trade center got blown up, and fab also dropped his first album on the day. And now, fab is dropping his 6th album around the same day of the explosion 10 years ago.

Well, i don't believe in all that crap, so i wont try to make anything out of it. Back to the story at hand- Fabolous is looking to drop his 6th album, "Loso's Way 2: The Rise to Power" in sept. Read more of what he has to say about it below-

“I’m working with a lot of guys right now. It’s still in the baby stages, so I don’t want to give too much of the info right now, but it’s soon to come. Everything will be out there,” he said, running down his wish list. “Nas, Eminem, Fergie - I think Fergie’s voice is really dope. A lot of people, man. Jadakiss, Rick Ross. We got a lot of people to look out for on this album coming, man.”

It will be cool if he could get those people he mentioned on his album. I am a fan of their music too, and i think they would really bring out the best in him. I have been a fan of fabs music since he dropped his first album, Ghetto Fabolous, which i believe still is his best album till date. Afterwards, the formulas he was using on his later albums weren't just clicking. I think the closest complete album when compared with his first was his 4th album- "From Nothing to Something" (2006).

Don't get me wrong, fab has gotten better with time, but his albums have always lacked something. You know, like how Jadakiss is a dope emcee, but his albums are not always classic material. I hope this new fab album would have that one thing that would make people talk about the album years later. I wish him all the best, but i don't think he can get that album out in sept. Maybe he can in December.

One thing; he said he is still in the baby stages of recording. That means he must have maybe just like 3 songs done, and it would probably take him like 3 months to get the album complete if he wants to work really hard and focus on it. That would be in sept, and there is no way you can drop an album immediately you are through with it. It has to go in for clearance checks of samples you used on it. And, the record label always insist you submit an album two months before the release date- so, i would say the album would have maybe a November or December date. When it  is delayed, remember i said it.
