Yo Gotti Says 50 Cent is The Smartest Business Man in the Rap Game

In a recent interview with MTV, Memphis rapper, Yo Gotti said 50 Cent is one of the smartest business man in the game. I have to agree with that statement. People focus too much on the Vitamin Water deal and forget that Curtis Jackson has made a lot of other smart business moves since then...like the $200 million 10 flick deal with Lionsgate; I think that is a huge achievement by a young black man.

"I studied him. Business-wise, I think he's one of the smartest business people in the rap game, as far as an artist. I [talked to him] on the phone two or three times, and he would just give me game about the game in general. To me, that was big. If I had never done nothing with him, just the fact that he reached out to me and was giving me game because he [saw] what I was doing." (MTV)

Yo Gotti just dropped the visuals for Cold Blood (feat. J.Cole, Canei Finch), which is off his latest album, I Am. A real soulful song, with a great video to go with. This album is actually Gotti's most commercially successful album to date- having sold over 135,000 copies to date.

Yo Gotti Speaks on Fake Rap Beefs

It is almost like everybody is beefing with the next man for some attention in rap these days. Yo Gotti, one of the real street rappers out there has a problem with all the fake rap beefs in Hip Hop these days. And in a recent interview, he voiced out his anger. Peep his words below-






"Y'all know the sh*t ain't real. I tell my n*ggas, we real n*ggas living in a fake world - you may have two n*ggas who are supposed to be on some street sh*t and you do something to me and I do something back, then you may press charges on me. That ain't keeping it G-like. It's kind of how I mean it's fake. N*ggas pretend beef. You really ain't beefing when you're battling, you really don't got any problems, you're just trying to get hot. It's a lot of little sh*t that I don't know how to engage in so I stay away from it." (The Dope Academy)











Hmm! I guess he was referring to 40Gloc when he mentioned someone pressing charges against another rapper he had beef with. You know...after Game and his boys beat 40 up earlier this year, he became quiet for a while, and then out of no where, he hit Game with a $4.5 million lawsuit. How can a street nigga be taking someone to court for something that happened in the streets? That ain't G. I guess it is cases like that, and all the crazy twitter beefs that Yo Gotti was referring to.

Rap Album Releases For Jan 2012

There are not too many major rap releases for Jan 2012, there are more mixtapes dropping. Rick Ross, T.I and Raekwon have already dropped mixtapes so far. The first official album to drop this month was from Yo Gotti (Live From The Kitchen) on the 10th. KRS 1 also dropped an album the same day; The BDP Album, but it didn't make
 it on the chart.










The other notable rap album release for this month is from 40 Glocc- New World Agenda, dropping on Jan 24. Pete Rock And CL Smooth will also drop the deluxe version of their The Main Ingredient Album that same day. There would definitely be more major releases starting from Feb.
