I know Trinidad James is not the most lyrical rapper out there, but at least he has an audience he is serving. Everything don't always have to be all serious. I do listen to the best of the best when it comes to rap music, but I like his
All Gold Everything song cos it is catchy and cool to listen to in the club (It doesn't mean I'll go to the store and pick up his album tho) . Hip Hop is about expressing yourself, and if he is doing just that, what is wrong with it? People keep saying this and that are killing hip hop and the black community, but even the ones that the Hip Hop world hold in high esteem rap about the same thing- money, fast cars, girls and drugs.
I just feel, as long as the rappers in the mainstream go, Trinidad James is not really hot anymore. His album probably wont even sell. The rappers with successful albums this year have been Jay Z, Kanye West, J.Cole...so why be concerned about
Trinidad James when he would be off the scene very soon anyway. And why call another black man a gorilla? And why take to social media to do that? I just ain't feeling that from a Hip Hop pioneer.
