'People Like Kim Kardashian Don't Last Very Long'- Robert Greene

Author of the best selling book, '48 Laws Of Power', Robert Greene said that 'people like Kim Kardashian don't last very long.' He said this during a recent interview with allhiphop.com, where Greene was speaking on celebrity entrepreneurs.

“People like the Kim Kardashians don’t last very long. Probably someone like that is sort of miserable, because she’s probably massively insecure knowing that it’s built on smoke-and-mirrors. I think we are heading into a period of sobriety where we’re going to celebrate people who get things done, who build things, who solve problems.”

As much as I want to agree with him on this, I think otherwise. The Kardashian's are marketing genius's. Not necessarily Kim herself; I think the mastermind is her mother, Kris Jenner. They turned a situation that was meant to be a life-time digress into a business. They got $40 million dollars just last year for their show to keep running for another 3 seasons or so. They have their clothing line; the girls are married to fairly rich men; even the younger ones are cashing out off the family fame. Think about it, for every product Kim endorses with a single tweet, she gets paid $10,000. She has lasted for over 5 years; ,I don't think she is a flash in the pan' type.

Jaden Smith Shows Up In iron-Man Costume For Date With Kylie Jenner

Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith has been hanging out with Kim Kardashian's sister, Kylie Jenner a lot lately. Recently, Jaden was invited on a date by Kylie Jenner, and he showed up in an Iron-Man costume. By the way, Jaden is 14, and Kylie is 15. It's really funny that they are hanging out, cos recently, when Will Smith was asked about the similaries between the The Smith family and the Kardashian's, he said- " the idea of fame or exploitation or orchestrating the media is sometimes even less than desirable for us." Indirectly bashing The Kardashian's.

Will Smith Indirectly Bashes The Kardashians

In a recent magazine interview, Will Smith was asked about how similar his family is to The Kardashian's, and in a bid to make the difference clear, he slicks in a little diss.




"For our family, the entire structure of our life, our home, our business relationships—the entire purpose is for everyone to be able to create in a way that makes them happy. Fame is almost an inconsequential by-product of what we’re really trying to accomplish. We are trying to put great things into the world, we’re trying to have fun, and we’re trying to become the greatest versions of ourselves in the process of doing things we love. So the idea of fame or exploitation or orchestrating the media is sometimes even less than desirable for us."



The part in red is the 'indirect bashing'. Word has it that Kim Kardashian's mother was the one that brought up the idea of having the Kim Kardashian sex-tape out there, sort of like a publicity stunt. And we all know that tape was what brought The Kardashian's to Limelight.  And till this day, Kris Jenner still makes all the moves behind the scene to market her children to the world. This is what Will Smith was referring to in the last sentence above.

The Life And Times Of Kim Kardashian...Before Kanye West

I realized how intertwined Kim Kardashian's life is in the music industry, and the whole American social circle, and I thought it would be cool to give people a glimpse of her life before she got popular...or infamous. Kim was born and raised in L.A, California; so, you understand now why she loves the camera so much. She was born on October 21st 1980, to parents- Robert Kardashian (Defence Attorney), and Kris Kardashian. Kim's father was actually on O.J Simpson's defence team back when O.J caught the murder case in 1994. The couple divorced in 1990, and Kris Kardashian married Bruce Jenner the following year, and she became Mrs.Kris Jenner.

In 1998, Kim graduated from Marymount Highschool, located in Holmby Hills/Bel Air. She got married 2 years later to music producer, Damon Thomas when she was just 19. They got a divorce in 2004. I'm sure a lot of people don't know that Kim Kardashian was once Mrs. Kim Thomas.










In 2004, after her divorce, she became a stylist for Brandy. She also worked other assistant roles for several other celebrities, including being a shopper for Lindsay Lohan. As she got into the whole Hollywood lifestyle, she met and started dating Brandy's brother (Ray-J), around the mid 2000s. Later a sex tape with both of them in it surfaced in 2007. She sued Vivid Entertainment (the company that put the sex tape out there), and she got an out-of court settlement of $5 million. WOW! Is that serious cash or what?

In the same year the sex tape came out, she began dating New Orleans Saints running back, Reggie Bush. And that same year, she got a contract for a TV Series titled, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, with E! Network. The show stared/stars her other sister's Kourtney & Khloe; her brother, Rob; her mother, Kris, and her step father, Bruce Jenner. It has had various other spin-offs like- Kourtney and Kim Take New York. She and her sisters used their new found fame to open a clothing boutique called DASH in 2008- the first one was in L.A, but they now have outlets in New York, and Miami.




Kim has numerous other business ventures- she has released 5 fragrances to date. In her personal life, she dated Reggie Bush on and off from 2007-2010. She flirted with Kanye West around 2010, but her sister (Khloe) said in an interview that it was nothing serious, and that the two were just sleeping together. She started dating Kris Humphries some time in 2011, and he proposed marriage to her 6 months later. They got married on August 20 2011, and 72 days later, on October 31, Kim Filed for divorce.








A couple of weeks later, she was seen in various locations with Kanye West, and the two have been an item since then. I should add that earlier this year, Kim and the rest of the Kardashians got a new contract with E! Network for their Keeping Up The Kardashians TV show to keep airing on the TV network...the deal was worth $40 million...the highest payment for any TV series in history.
