Rap Albums On Billboard Chart

Drake is still the highest selling rapper on the Billboard chart for this week. His sophomore album, Take Care sold 77,000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 1,044,000.

Snoop and Whiz Khalifa's Mac & Devin Go To High School soundtrack debuts on the chart this week, and sold 39,000 copies after 7 days in stores. Lil Wayne's Carter 4 move 29,000 units this week, to now total at 1,826,000.

Jay-Z and Kanye West's collabo album, Watch The Throne sold 22,000 copies this week, to now total at 1,166,000. The Roots Undun album sold 18,000 copies and now stand at total of 67,000 copies sold.

J.Cole's Cole World is now at total of 463,000, after selling 14,000 copies this week. Wale's Ambition album sold 13,000 copies this week, to now total at 293,000 copies so far.

5th Week Sales Of Drake's Take Care Album

Drake has been on the chart for 5 full weeks now, and Take Care sold 77,000 copies this week. I think that is almost the same amount he sold last week. And i think he would probably sell more next week cos of the holiday season. Take Care is now at a total of 1, 044, 000 copies sold so far.

Platinum in 5 weeks and still selling heavy...i think that's cool. He would probably be at 1.5 mill sold by the end of January. Just remember i said that.

4th Week Sales of Drake's Take Care Album

Drake's Take Care has been out for full four weeks now, and it sold 73, 000 copies this week, bringing the grand total to 968,000 sold so far. That is 32,000 copies from a million sold. I think that is cool. As i said in a previous post, he is still going to see a sales boost when the holidays come in full swing. Probably a week before Christmas.

He would probably sell like 100k above Christmas week and the week after Christmas. People buy more during holidays. I think he dropped the album at the right time.

Second Week Sales of Drake's Take Care Album

Drake dropped his second album two weeks, ago, and it has now completed two weeks on the billboard chart. Take Care sold 173,000 copies in its second week. If you add this to the 631, 000 copies it did in its first week, you would get a total of 804,000 copies in 2 weeks. That is not bad for the weather of hip hop right now.

He would definitly go platinum in about two more weeks. I know he is goig to steady around this second week numbers, because people buy more during the holiday seasons. Lil Wayne just saw his weekly sales for Carter 4 double, so why  can't Drake do the same in a few weeks.

Official First Week Sales Projections of Drake's Take Care Album

According to HITS Daily Double News, Drake's Take Care album is predicted to sell between 675-725k first week. This is based on first day sales projections. I am glad i am on point with this one. I earlier predicted it to sell between 550-750k first week. I just knew there was no way it would sell lower than GOLD (500K) first week. And i also predicted that it would have a better staying power than Lil Wayne's Carter 4. Carter 4 went from selling 940k first week to selling 290k second week. I think this would drop to about 350k second week.

The rapper, whose sophomore YM/CM/Universal Republic album, Take Care, is the follow-up to last year’s successful bow, Thank Me Later, will debut at #1 with a sales total between 675-725k.
That will make it the third-best bow of the year, after Lady Gaga’s 1.1 million selling Born This Way and his labelmate Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV, which also clocked in slightly over a million on HITS’ Album sales chart. (hitsdailydouble.com)

I congratulate him on this success, and i think the album is a great one...as long as you don't expect anything other than what Drake is known for.

First Week Sales Prediction of Drake's Take Care Album

Drake's Take Care album is dropping in a couple of weeks (November 15 to be precise), and i am going attempt a prediction of its first week sales. His last album, which was also his first, Thank Me Later dropped last year June, and it sold 447,000 copies in its first week. I am very sure that he can't sell less than that with this one, because he has been consistent with it since then. And his current single, Headlines, is at the number one spot of the billboard rap albums charts. Just considering that, and the fact that every track he has dropped from marvin's room, to headlines, to club paradise this year have been hits. With all that said, i would say that Take Care would sell between 550-750k in its first week.

Think about it; everything he touches turns to Gold; He practically made that I'm On One track what it is. And one of the best tracks off Carter 4, which is also a single (She Will), is dope because he was on the hook. He is everywhere...he can't loose. It is going to be almost impossible for Take Care to sell less than Gold in its first week out.

Tracklist of Drake's Take Care Album

Drake is about to drop his sophomore album, Take Care in a couple of weeks, October 24 to be precise, and the tracklist just hit the internet. If there are no changes on the tracklist before it is official released, i think it would turn out to be a lovely album.

Drake Talks About "Take Care" Album

Drake's Sophomore album has been keeping Him busy in the studio, and he drops a new song every now and then to whet the appetite of his fans, but none of which would make the final album. "Take Care" is supposed to be the title of his Sophomore album, unless he decides to change it at the last minute. He talked about the nature of the album at a very recent interview; read more below-

“This album might bring me a world of problems,” Drake tells Headcrack TV with laugh. ” I think I finally have a grasp on who I am and what I want to be. I think the goal for this album was to dig even deeper.”

“What I did for this album was try to catch this moment in time. It’s that sound… definitely like , “Fear,” “9 AM In Dallas,” but sonically me and 40 started using new sounds, picking up the tempo, picking up the energy.”

From hearing him on the Dj Khaled song, I'm On One, i think i can conclude that he is getting better with time. Not that he wasn't good before, but i think he is going to have a long stay. Plus, he is good with the ladies music...i think that would give him an edge. He actually knows music, and not just a talented rapper.

Drake Sets October 24 as Realease Date for Sophomre Album- Take Care

Drake has set the release date of his sophomore album (Take Care) as October 24. The news was recently let known, so you can be expecting Drake's second album pretty soon. And that date is his brthday- he is going to be 25 that day, i guess that would be a good birthday present present for him. I am listening  to this track he has, "Marvin's Room", but it has been confirmed that it is not the first single off the album, and just a teaser. I think the track is cool; it has the same singing concept with "find your love", but he raps at the end of this one.

Read news about the Take Care release below-

Take Care will bow on October 24th, according to a post on his website October’s Very Own. The Toronto, Canada native, who recently released the track “Marvin’s Room” as a warm-up, will release the LP’s first single in July.

“Another piece of the story. Single coming in July. Take Care coming Oct. 24th,” he wrote.

Drizzy has recently worked with a handful of musicians including producer T-Minus, Noah “40” Shebib, the xx’s Jamie Smith, 9th Wonder, The Weeknd and more. It is unclear which collaborations will make the album’s final cut.

So, we don't know who and who are going to be on the album, but i know Drake likes experimenting, and making harmony out of disorder, so i know, as long as "feel good music" is concerned, he is going to do a great job. His last album had many tracks on there where he sang like how he did on this Marvin's Room, but he also had a lot of rap songs, like the one with Jay-Z, the one with Lil Wayne, the one with Nicki Minaj, just to mention a few. Thank me Later was released last year, June 15th to be precise, and as sold in excess of 1.3million copies in the U.S alone.

I wish him all the best in his pursuit of happiness, and i appreciate the spice he brings to hip hop. You know, a lot of people would say he sings too much...but he has proved to be a damn god rapper also, so i say you just enjoy his diversity, and stop the hate. I wonder why people never say the same for Andre 3000. With all singing Andre did on the "Love Below" album, you would think people would disqualify him as a rapper, but accolades keep pouring on him. I know andre is more lyrical than drake, but he damn sure aint a better singer than drake. So, we have someone that can balance the two; i think we need to appreciate him.
