Game Speaks on The Making of Mike Brown Tribute Song (Don't Shoot)

Last week, Game dropped his tribute song for the slain Ferguson teenager, Mike Brown. The song, Don't Shoot, featured about a dozen of his rap colleagues like Fabolous, Rick Ross, Wale, Curren$y, and a host of other rappers. In a recent interview Hot 93.7 radio in Connecticut, Game spoke on the tragedy that happened in Ferguson, Missouri, and also spoke on how he put the song together. 

New Music: New Black (B.o.B)

After criticizing the whole Twitter activism since the Mike Brown shooting, B.o.B was crucified on Twitter. He has used this song to tell people what he was really talking about. Twitter activism is more like following a trend, and doesn't do much in the real world. And it doesn't last anyway. Listen to the song below...New Black. J Cole Speaks on Heading Down to Ferguson After Mike Brown Incidence

Asides from making a tribute song (Be Free) for Mike Brown, the slain teenager from Ferguson (Missouri. U.S.A), J Cole also headed down to the site where the young man was killed by a police officer. In this latest interview with Complex Magazine, Cole explained why it was important to head down there in person, and not just use social media to protest the injustice. 









"We came down here to feel it, 'cause this is history, and we wanna be a part of this just like everybody else. it coulda been you, it coulda been me, it coulda been our best friends. ... At one point in time, me and [my friend] were sitting in the crib talking about this all the time. 'This is f-ked up!' And we was young. And we was 20. And we was passionate. It's like, life goes on, and n--as start worrying about Instagram and reality TV, and 'What's popping,' and 'I got kids,' and life happens. And a lot of distractions. Unfortunately, last week, it was the same old, 'This is f-ked up,' and this week, it's like, 'What can we do?'" (Complex Magazine)













Very true...talk is cheap. A lot of celebrities just follow trends on social media, they don't really take the situations behind the trend that serious.

Roc Nation rapper, J Cole, after dropping a tribute to Mike Brown over the weekend, also made time out to visit the scene where the teenager was gunned down nine days ago. From Autopsy results that were released last night, it was confirmed that teen was shot six times, twice in the head. Regardless of what sort of confrontation he had had with the officer, he was without a weapon and shouldn't have been shot at all, not to talk of being shot six times.

J Cole just dropped this emotional song titled Be Free; a tribute to the teenager killed by the police in Ferguson (Missouri, USA). The young man was shot 6 times (twice in the head) by a white police office last week, on August 7th, 2014. Apparently there had been some sort of misunderstanding between the teen and the police officer. R.I.P Mike Brown. God be with his family.
