Naeto C Leaves Storm Records

Nigerian rapper, Naeto C joined Storm Records in 2006, after he and his old friend, Ikechukwu got back to the country from schooling in America. He quickly blew up when he released his debut album, You Know My P in 2008, even outshining his one time friend, Ikechukwu who had started out before him. The two had a falling out in 2010, and Ikechukwu left Storm Records around the same time. Now, after 7 years of doing business with Storm, Naeto C is ready to do things his own way. He started his Cerius Music label a couple of years ago, but still released music under Storm Records.

From his next album, all Naeto C's materials would be released under his label- WKG/Cerius Music. WKG stands for White Kaftan Gang. Naetochukwu has also changed management team, and is now being managed by Godwin Tom, who also manages Waje and Wizkid. Naeto C had a good run with Storm Records, releasing hits like- Sitting on Top, Kini Big Deal, Ako Mi Ti Poju, Ten Over Ten, and much more.

Ikechukwu Explains His Relationship With D'Banj

I remember a rumour making rounds some months ago...or years back (i can't remember), about Ikechukwu beating up D'Banj over a girl or something like that. The story wasn't really confirmed, but I always believe their is no smoke without fire. So, I was surprised when I started seeing pics of Ikechukwu hanging out with D'Banj in the U.K. I always had the idea that Ikillz was closer to Don Jazzy, but I guess I was wrong.

In case you don't know him, Ikechukwu is a Nigerian rapper, and a former artist under Storm Records. Check out what He had to say about his relationship with D'Banj below-

"I have heard a lot about my relationship with D'banj. Some people call me his houseboy, bouncer, and the rest, but let me say this, I have been close to D'banj since day one. The first time I saw him was at Obi Asika's house, when he was about signing to Storm Records...and if you're observant, you would have discovered that we have similar features; he's lepa just like me and we have same swagger. So we've created some kind of bond right from time which I was not opportuned to share with Don Jazzy. I only find people that find me, simple! Those that I am important to are those that are important to me. I am just chilling with D'banj and now that he's making a stand abroad, it's going to be stupid of me not to utilize the situation he already has. So, we are not just friends, we are also doing business" - The rapper tells Encomium magazine in an exclusive interview

I guess Ikillz is just being a sharp ibo boy if you know what I mean.

Dr Sid, Bamijo- Which Rapper Killed It

There is a term used in rap, "killed it", which is used to denote who had a better rap verse in a song with two or more rappers. Dr Sid, a Nigerian artist under Mo Hits records (Don Jazzy's Label) just released the video to his Bamijo single, which features other hot Nigerian rappers like Ikechukwu, M.I and Eldee D Don. I remember hearing this song several months back when Dr Sid's album dropped, and immediately knowing it had the tendencies of being a hit track. Months went by, and no one was talking about it, and i was kinda disappointed. I am happy now that the video is out, and the song is getting some exposure. You can check out the video hear- Bamijo

Okay, on who killed it, i think that is going to be a turf one. I rate this song on the same level with Puffy's It's All About The Benjamins song where it was hard to say who had the best verse from Puffy, Sheek Louch, Lil Kim, Biggie and Jadakiss. But with this song, if i am meant to eleminate till i get the person with the best verse, i think i would pick Ikechukwu out first. I am a fan of his music, but he really doesn't nail it when he uses that animated voice he has gotten so used to now.

So, now we are left with Dr Sid, M.I and Eldee. The next out is Dr Sid. He had a lovely verse; better than i expected from him, but he sure didn't kill it like the remaining two. I know he is the owner of the song, but i am just being honest.

Okay, now we have M.I and Eldee to pick from. I am going to disappoint you and say it think they both murdered the song on the same level. I can't pick who had the better verse, so i'ma say M.I and Eldee killed the track. I would like to get your opinion on who you think killed it.
