Malik Yoba Says PTSD From Slavery Era is Responsible for Black on Black Crime in America

Actor, Malik Yoba has a theory for the high rate of black on black crime in America. He believes this is caused by post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from slavery era in America, where black people were made to believe that their lives didn't mean anything. Malik Yoba described this theory in his recent interview on VLAD TV.

He was actually talking about the incidence from when he got shot in the neck at 15. He said it happened so fast, with little words exchanged with those that shot him. He believed he shouldn't have been shot for something as simple as pushing back someone that had pushed him. To explain that incidence, he said...

"That's part of the post traumatic slave syndrome...is that we don't regard each other as humans we were told we were not human. And so we don't see ourselves in each other. And so we don't recognize humanity in ourselves. So your life means nothing to me...but I never felt that way. But I understood that that was what it was."
