I guess it is the season of biopics. Since the success of the N.W.A biopic (Straight Outta Compton), everyone has been trying to make a biopic about a rapper or rap group. According to Damon Dash, a Roc-A-Fella biopic is in the works.
For those that don't know, Roc-A-Fella Records was founded by three men in 1996...Jay Z, Damon Dash, and Kareem Biggs. And it had rappers such as Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz, Kanye West, and Jay Z himself on its roaster. So, this biopic will center around the lives of these men.
Below is what Damon Dash had to say about the Rocafella movie during his interview with Hip Hop Motivation.
"There’s a lot that people didn’t see and that would be the part I’d be showing. So you don’t know what I’m going to show you. Why would I just make a re-creation of what everyone saw? I want to make things that no one knew.”
