10 years ago, Jay Z signed a $150 million ten year 360 deal with Live Nation to cover his next three albums. The deal also included the formation of Roc Nation, which is a entertainment company owned by Jay Z, under the Live Nation umbrella. Shortly after this deal, Jay Z bought the masters of all his albums from Def Jam Records, except from Reasonable Doubt, which was released on Priority Records back in 1996.
Ten years is up, and Jay Z and Live Nation are working on signing another mouth watering deal. The details of the deal are not known yet, but a spokesperson for Live Nation told Billboard yesterday that...
"Live Nation has a new long term deal with Jay Z and we expect to continue being equity partners in Roc Nation for many years to come,"
I wish Jay Z all the best on his new business move. The man has come a long way.
