Drake's Alleged Ghostwriter Speaks on Working With Drake

You must have heard about what is popping right now in the Hip Hop world. A couple of days ago, Twitter went crazy when Meek Mill wen ton Twitter and told the world that Drake shouldn't be compared to him, cos Drake Doesn't Write His Own Raps. What!!? Yea, crazy, right? Drake has been very quiet about the whole issue, but the rapper that Meek claims is Drake's ghost writer has come out to speak on the issue...His name is Quentin Miller by the way. Read his words below...He put this up on his Tumblr page yesterday night.

'Winter 2014… I was just another guy working a job he hated with a passion for music…. And somehow found myself on the phone with One of my idols..

i told him i worked in a bakery and his exact words were “Fuck that, your destined for greatness"…

Hearing that from someone that I’ve been  studying since 2009, bar for bar…. Theres no way to describe that..

Most of the project was done before i came in the picture.. i remember him playing it for me for the first time thinking "Why am I here?” like.. what does he need me for??

The answer is.. Nothing…

I watched this man piece together words in front of me…

I watched him write/ replace bars 2- 3 at a time on 6pm in NY.. I witnessed him light up, go in and freestyle madonna….

I took notes from the best in the game….

I remember him Showing me the thank you notes in NY before the album dropped.. Showing me the QM, telling me they put me on the credits (Ghostwritter???) … He attached  my name to something that touched the world..

When nobody would pay attention, drake saw something in me and reached out… Of all people… drizzy..

Two artist in exact opposite spaces in their career.. We came together and made something special..

I am not and never will be a “ghostwriter” for drake.. Im proud to say that we’ve collaborated .. but i could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together ..

Thats all i have to say on it.. back to this 1317 shit…

Hmm! Deep. I don't get the part where he said most of the tracks were done before he came in. I have heard the refrence track for '10 Bands' that Funk Flex leaked, which had Quentin Miller rapping '10 Bands' and it sure looked like he created it, and not Drake. Ofcos, Drake changed a lot, and made it his own...Drake made it a hit, but Quentin Miller wrote most part of the song.

I guess Drake wanted to created something with that dopeboy feel, so he got Quentin Miller to write songs, and then he, Drake, got in the studio, and changed things up, and made it a hit. I have heard both versions, and Drake's version sure sounds better. Don't get it twisted, Drake messed up using a ghost writer (which isn't technically the case, since he credited Quentin Miller in the album booklet), but no one would have given '10 Bands' any attention if it was released by 'Quentin Miller.' (Quentin Miller's Tumblr)

Listen to the two versions below...Quentin Miller's version, and then Drake's version.
