This Week's Top Selling Rap Albums on Billboard's Top 200 Albums Chart

Common's tenth album, Nobody's Smiling is the highest selling rap album on Billboard's Top 200 Albums Chart this week. The album sold 24,537 copies after a full week in stores. Check out the full list of the top selling rap albums of the week below.

"WHAT!!? Only two rap albums?" Yes, that is how bad things are right now in the music industry. I am afraid that in a couple of weeks, Iggy Azalea's album will be the only one up on here. Rick Ross's Mastermind album is still the highest selling rap album of 2014 so far. And Ross's album is not even at Gold status yet...it is at 355,000 copies sold, and the closest album to it in sales is Iggy's The New Classic with 258,386. This is to show you how badly Hip Hop is doing now. If Lil Wayne drops his Carter 5 album later this year, he would surely automatically become the rapper with the best selling album, probably within a week. But generally speaking, no one is moving big numbers no more...except Kanye West, Macklemore, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Lil Wayne. And you can throw in Nicki Minaj and J.Cole into the mix, that's it.
