Good things are happening in Kendrick Lamar's world lately. When Dr. Dre gives you that stamp of approval, up is the only way you can go in the music industry. Of cos, Kendrick is very talented, and put his heart into the music he makes. His debut album, dropped last year, and has already earned him a Gold Plaque. But, the first Platinum Plaque of his career is coming from "Swimming Pools", the first single off the album. Congrats to him.
For those that don't know, a Platinum Plaque is given to an album/single that has sold in excess of a million copies. And a Gold Plaque is given to an album/single that has sold in excess of 500, 000 copies. His album, "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City" is at a total of 657,000 copies sold so far. It will probably hit that one million mark by the second quarter of the year.
