Although there has been a lot of negative criticism of the songs D'Banj has released since he left Mo Hits, people can't overlook his achievements. Speaking of the songs, ofcos you don't expect him to get it right with the first song. People need to understand that he had a genius producer/beat maker (Don Jazzy) in his corner all that while, making sure his every song came out right. So, it is only right that Don Jazzy's absence would be visible in the quality of music he released immediately after parting ways with him. But not withstanding, I think "Oyato", and "Bachelor" are good attempts. And with his latest, "Cash Flow" you have to agree that he got that one right. That is a great song right there . I see that track being a club banger in 2013.

So, lets count his achievements in the 7 months after Mo Hits. He started his own label (DB Records), He released the video to his hit single; "Oliver Twist", and got it to number 9 on U.K's top 10 songs chart; He signed a global deal with Universal Records; He signed a deal with Sony Africa; He recorded a song (Top Of The World) for the African Nations Cup; He got his artist (K-Switch) to release 2 hot singles; He toured with Rita Ora: He got an endorsement deal with Malibu Drink in the U.S; He has a reality TV show coming up (Adventures Of D'Banj)...and so much more.
Through history, the human race have always been known to hate and fight change, so it is not a surprise that some people hate D'Banj right now or just don't like the fact that he left Don Jazzy. But they have to understand that the only thing constant in life is change. He already did all he can in Nigeria, and has a catalogue of hits. It is only right and sane that he would want to expand his boundaries. Whether or not he makes it big time, for taking that step alone, he is already a winner.
