Rap Albums On The Billboard Chart


This is middle January, and holidays are fully over. People are getting used to school life again, and workers are getting used to work again. This period always records the lowest sales in the music industry. Drake is the highest selling rapper on the billboard chart this week, with his Take Care album moving 32,000 copies. The album is now at a total of 1,321,000 copies so far.



Young Jeezy is up next with his TM 103 album which moved 24,000 copies this week...this is its 4th week on the chart. The album is now at a total of 361,000. Yo Gotti's Live From The Kitchen made its debut on the chart this week with 16,000 copies sold first week.













The Throne (jay-z and kanye west) are up next, and their Watch The Throne album sold 13,000 copies this week, and now totals at 1,261,000. Lil Wayne's Carter 4 moved 12,000 copies this week and is now at a total of 1,947,000 since its August 28  2011 release.



Common and Wale sold 8,500 and 6,100 copies respectively of their individual albums this week. Common's The Dreamer/The Believer is at a total of 106,000, and Wale's Ambition is at a total of 339,000.
