Cole World at Number 1: Rap Albums on The Billboard Chart

J.Cole's Cole World: The Sideline Story is at number 1 this week; it sold 217,000 copies in its first week in stores. I think that is impressive, considering the fact that he doesn't have any single from the album on heavy rotation on radio. He has gained a followership with his impressive mixtapes from the past, and this is a way the fans a paying him back.

Carter 4 is still holding it down on the charts: it is at number 7 spot on the Billboard 200 album charts, and it sold 68,000 copies this week...it's 5th week on the chart. Carter 4 is now at a total of 1,452,000 copies sold so far. Lil Wayne is doing his thing.

Kanye West and Jay-Z's Watch The Throne collabo album sold 38,000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 930,000 copies. A couple more weeks, and it would earn platinum status.

Another collabo album on the chart this week is from Bad Meets Evil (Royce Da 5'9 and Eminem), who sold 11,000 copies of their Hell: The Sequel album this week, to now total at 552,000 copies total.

Phonte's Charity Starts At Home album sold 8,100 copies after a full week in stores. 9th Wonder also enters the chart this week with his Wonder Years album, which sold 6,500 copies in its first week. Meth from Z-Ro sold 2,500 copies, to total at 7,900 copies after two weeks on the chart.
